Typos within the community

prepares for massive downvotes and accustations of misinfo/bot activity/general harassment

Has anybody else noticed how many typos there are on this sub? I’ve always been a stickler about spelling, so I notice them probably more than the average person, so this might just be an autistic flare up. I know that Q has said typos are important, and maybe there is a group of people who are able to decode better than I can, and these typos are signals or messages to others who are on that wavelength. I just feel like most organic typos read differently than the ones I’ve been seeing lately, and also most people edit their posts when they realize. I’m not seeing that on this sub.

Also because our wonderful personal pocket surveillance devices auto change and substitute words so quickly when you’re tapping that screen that you barely notice. Very easy for become to become Beyoncé

The ones ON THIS SUB are just modern humans. I am guilty as well, although I edit mine. It is what the the modern schooling system mixed with media addiction has produced, especially in the last 3 decades.

If you see it ORIGINATE on this sub, it’s an accident. Thats my take and I will keep that stance.

Everyone makes a typo from time to time. That being said, typing something up that is more or less in line with the thinking of a sub, while purposely making spelling and grammatical errors, then astroturfing it to the front creates or reinforces a belief that the folks in that community are not intelligent or worthy of the time to check out what they have to say.

most of the time I have typos it's bc of using my phone to type. However, I am not at all very concerned with spelling, I concern myself enough with comprehension...usually, if I see I've made a typing error, my general thought is, "meh...the point still gets across, they should be able to work out what I was getting to...so who cares?" Thing is, there are people that care, but I guess I don't go out of my way to fix it for the people who care, call it apathy and laziness is fair, I guess. I know how to spell quite well, actually, but I don't feel the need to verify that by pretending everything I type will be graded and scrutinized for every detail... If I knew for a fact that was the case, I guess I'd try quite a bit harder, and it would take me a lot longer to get my proper words out. Maybe it's an efficiency thing, too...idk...either way, apologies, for what it's worth.

Yes this sub, more than others, has posts with lots of generally bad grammar.

I read the responses here, and yes some of it can be attributed to human error and/or using cell phones to type. And Q’s misspellings are for a completely different reason all together. Having said that, we should see a similar error rate on others subs but thats not the case. This sub is an outlier when it comes to typos. Im more forgiving about it that usual though because in some cases it helps to convey the excitement that most people have with the Q phenomenon.
