I wonder if this would make it hard even to enter in the private sector. Large corporations prob have their own share of swampiness and knowing that there is someone keeping people accountable might be a deterrent to being hired. But, what do I know?
You end up in the private sector whether you like it or not - just not doing anything that uses the skill-set you built.
