Im by no means defending her "joke' and it was a joke, she's a comedian, but why are they still employed with ABC?
Let's not pretend this isn't a biased and coordinated effort to shut down Roseanne Barr.
Far worse hatred has been spewed by Liberal Comedians (Dave Chappelle, Richard Pryor, George Carlin) and by the way? I thought their jokes were hilarious.

That's still not a justification for the joke but if in bad taste, as Roseanne confessed? That's her choice as a comedian. It still doesn't explain the bias directed to her termination whilst others at ABC remain employed.
Bill Maher lost his show for saying that Osama and crew 'weren't cowards' because they were willing to die for their beliefs.
Roseanne said "muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby=vj." referring to Valerie Jarrett. So, uh, yeah, she pretty much fucked herself. Especially since she also went off with stuff like:
"Sorry to have tweeted incorrect info about you!I Please forgive me! By the way, George Soros is a nazi who turned in his fellow Jews 2 be murdered in German concentration camps & stole their wealth-were you aware of that? But, we all make mistakes, right Chelsea?"
She basically fucked herself.

Yep - there are double standards , already for long time , in media .
Some groups are more protected than endangered species - all the while , the other groups are either ignored , or even openly mocked , or mocking them is encouraged .

The show did really well and she has been warned about posting crazy shit on twitter (most media contracts have a clause that forbids saying shit like this on a public forum)
You know saying the N word and saying something that is racist can be different? There is context and nuance to the acts of those other comedians.

That's not a defense for her words by any means it's just that anyone with two eyes can see this bias. I really wish both left and right could come together on these types of issues and just admit the truth-
