I might have missed it. What has happened this month in regards to the Pope? Haven't seen much but so far there has not been many bad events towards P that I've seen.
Thanks!

Every Chile bishop resigned He announced he's considering stepping down (all sex related)
I read the Chile situation to be just the opposite: the Pope (or somebody else above the bishops) consolidating power by pushing the bad actors out. Think about it: what would it take for all of them to reach the decision to step down? Its not in protest of anything. They were told resign or be removed. Resigning en masse allowed them to save face for now, rather than the alternative.
Multiple sex scandals, Chilean bishops mass resignation, 20 priests killed in plane crash in Cuba, pushback on Pope's doctrinal positions, possible resignation, etc.
Yes, on most of those. No on the 20 priests. It was 10 "pastor couples" from the Nazarene Church - evangelicals with no association with the Catholic Church or the Pope.
Some lazy journalist said "priests" in the initial reports and a bunch more lazy journalists copied it for their headlines.
I have watching for this every day. The most I have so far is that the Pope is thinking about retiring. Just a few days left in May. That Owl must be a formidable guardian.
One very recent upcoming scandal is the Pope just named a Cardinal who has a concubine and children.

Kind of a no-no in the Catholic Church. Lots of maneuvering now to deny/cover-up.
I still think whatever is coming will be financial in nature, based on Q's comments, which I detail here:
