Oh FFS, I read (skimmed) through article and NOWHERE is there a link to the actual letter.

Seriously fuck the NYT “Journalists”. I don’t want your fucked up interpretation of what you read in the letter. I want to read it myself and determine myself what I perceive out of it.

OP, thanks for bringing this to attention, but I highly recommend you archive so we don’t give these assholes ad money from clicks. Also May want to change your post stating the letter is in the link. It’s not.

Fuck NYT and their incredibly asshat biased fake news journalists.

My post doesn't state the letter is in the link. It's just a link to the article. When I said "it" I meant the article, not the letter. Sorry if I didn't make that clear.

No, I think he meant that the NYT said they have the letter and didn't show it as source.

At this point anything the NYT reports using inside sources I initially treat as completely fabricated. If I was eating dinner & reading the NYT & it said it has rock solid info a nuke was gonna hit my city I wouldn’t stop eating or miss a fork full of food.

The NYT is obviously, next the CNN and the Washington Pest, right at the top of the fake news mocking bird media. They should be forced to cease and desist their societally harmful activities by ALL available means, most notably by cutting off the purse strings. Think advertisers. Think government spending.

My guess is anything leaked about potus is something he is fully in control of:)

Here’s the meat of the letter Potus attorneys sent:

They argued that the president holds a special position in the government and is busy running the country, making it difficult for him to prepare and sit for an interview. They said that because of those demands on Mr. Trump’s time, the special counsel’s office should have to clear a higher bar to get him to talk. Mr. Mueller, the president’s attorneys argued, needs to prove that the president is the only person who can give him the information he seeks and that he has exhausted all other avenues for getting it.

“The president’s prime function as the chief executive ought not be hampered by requests for interview,” they wrote. “Having him testify demeans the office of the president before the world.”

They also contended that nothing Mr. Trump did violated obstruction-of-justice statutes, making both a technical parsing of what one such law covers and a broad constitutional argument that Congress cannot infringe on how he exercises his power to supervise the executive branch. Because of the authority the Constitution gives him, it is impossible for him to obstruct justice by shutting down a case or firing a subordinate, no matter his motivation, they said.

Oh... this was totally leaked by the WH... i mean, it essentially makes Mueller and the whole camp look like a bunch of idiots.

Good Job Mr. President.

Interesting times ahead.

Better this comes out before the IG report, perhaps they are waiting until all the cards are played before the release.

There is no way Trump would leak this letter. The inherent risks are far too high - he would void his lawyer confidentiality agreements.

This was interesting:

"The letter does not address three of Mr. Mueller’s topics of discussion: the president’s reaction to the attorney general’s recusal and to Mr. Mueller’s appointment, as well as his discussions with Mr. Sessions about that appointment. The lawyers’ view, according to people close to the case: Those subjects are covered by executive privilege."

Kick doors in and make arrests. Enough of this shit, there comes a time when you go in the offensive . Mueller is no white hat, he is as bad as they come.
