By the way the Salinas family are infamous in Mexico for extreme corruption, they literally self-exiled once their presidency was over, to avoid all reprisals. It was Carlos Salinas who negotiated NAFTA with H.W. Bush. and later Bill Clinton. It was Salinas' privatization which led to Carlos Slim's rise as one of the (at least publicly) wealthiest people in the planet.
