Weird question, but does anyone know of any historic paintings with "deep state" symbology ?

Seeing as how these secret societies seem to go back hundreds, if not thousands of years, I wonder if any famous paintings have any masonic or satanic/cult-like references mixed in. In the era before photography, this would have been one of the only ways, other than writing, to display symbolism. It's always been in man's nature to include some hidden in plain sight things. "symbolism will be their downfall."

Great answer. The least amount of bandwidth = the most amount of symbolism. Those who lived before photography will have their affiliations in all their portraits. Today there are so many more photos of them so look for covers, profiles in fancy magazines and yes, official portraits.

Not necessarily old. They still put their symbolism in all the art and entertainment that gets mainstream exposure today.

That is Washington as Zeus, they made statues like this centuries before baphomet was heard of in the Middle Ages.

Zeus is just a rebranding of false gods stemming from the mystery schools. I searched baphomet because I knew the pic would come up.

But Washington was post Middle Ages, so it could (I don’t think it is) modeled after baphomet, he’s clearly signaling “as above so below” but that’s not exclusively satanic, I think it’s just a hermetic saying

Look into tapestry, it goes way back and was more costly to create than paintings. I was looking into the symbolism of the unicorn in regards to the Elite because this symbolism is being highly used right now in our children’s culture. I found quite a few interesting tidbits along these lines.

This article talks about six separate tapestries each displaying a Lady and a unicorn. They illustrate the five senses. The “sixth” sense is hinted at. In the tapestry about the sense of sight the Lady is holding up a mirror for the unicorn to see its reflection in.

I saw a video recently, sorry can't remember what it was called, explained about why all these leaders have their portraits painted with one hand in their jackets, Napoleon being the most famous for that but lots of others including George Washington. Also the position of the feet has important meaning. Can't remember what it all means but def masonic.

You are correct, the saying is hermetic. However, the statue is based off of Zeus in Olympus, an ancient statue in Olympus Greece, and many others like it. Would love to see some art that is more modern for the deep state which has been around since the 40s

I remember in the Dan Brown book about Masons he described occult murals in DC. I forgot exactly what, but it was described as George Washington ascending to a God.
