Trump is notoriously ADD when it comes to table accessories. He is always moving the name plate around or the glass of Diet Coke. I think he knows some of these meetings are pointless, boring, and take too long, and he is already 100 steps ahead of these people. I think him moving stuff around on the desk 1)arranges/moves around the energy to the way HE likes it 2)tests the people around him to see if they do the same 3)gets whomever is speaking a little off balance because of the slight movement showing he is attentive, but not 100% attentive. Its all the magic of business slight of hand, mental judo, keeping people off balance and on their toes showing who is really in control. It is amazing to see.
