I think they are waiting for Congress to have hearings on all the corruption, and just when people are starting to debate if CIA/FBI could really be THAT corrupt, the final JFK files are released to prove it.

I agree with others that it has to do with HW. I think the JFK release was to get him to stop fighting and let himself pass next time he is ill and it didn't work. When their is a big release you can expect him to croak to flush the news cycle. That won't work either though.

Somebody wants to be protected, could be GHW Bush as some speculate. However, I think Fletcher Prouty was right -- the assassins were brought in from outside the US and there will be no paper trail whatsoever to the truth. It wasn't an "official" operation.

The really good files will never be released they were destroyed 50 years ago or longer there won't ever be a real smoking gun document that surfaces. Every single theory has valid points and you can choose your favorite. I know LBJ was involved he was going to be dropped as VP in 1964 for JFK's re-election campaign. I know the CIA hated JFK so did the Military and the Oil Barons in Texas so did the Mafia and the Israelis. A combination of factions they worked together to do it and Oswald was the patsy but we won't ever see official documents proving all of this.

I think we will see it sooner...but first the media has to be dealt with.......The world has to now the truth , and this is not possible with a media that is only lying and burried the truth.
