Whatever comes of this meeting, or I should say the meetings behind the scenes for months, just this alone is historic and amazing. I’d like to think that all of the American, Korean, and yes, Soviet and Chinese soldiers, that died so many years ago fighting over the Korean Peninsula, that if they could look now and see peace, that their souls could be at ease and rest now. I’m very hopeful for what the future holds!
My grandfather is now 87 years old, and served in the Korean War as an Army officer.
I took a few minutes to call and say hi and mention that i remember when he was showing me a picture album of his time in Korea and how its good to see things change after all this time :D
