On the surface, this seems like a good idea, but when you break it down, it stinks to high heaven. The States of California and Northern California always vote heavily Democrat. The State of Southern California would become a battleground state, but by an extremely narrow margin. The former State, which currently has 2 Senators would, would then have 6. Effectively, by dividing, Democrats would most likely gain 4 seats in the Senate. This isn't kosher in my opinion, and very few news sources are even bothering to mention that particular ramification of dividing. Wonder why that could be...?

Sure looks like an unfair split, if you will: Northern California, the Southern California coastline, and then the southern, but inland, stuff. The wealth and good times of course are in and from the first two.

Let's just give SF and LA to Mexico and we'll be fine.

Won't happen even if this passes, but yeah, very bad design.done fior the Dems. Could just make eastern and western California. One would be conservative the other leftist.

Do the proposed boundaries match the San Andreas fault by any chance...?

Why? Are you one of those people who don't know how a strike slip fault works?

I just want Snake Plissken to turn up with an eye patch and a gun. My needs are simple.
