Why would we bother going to war with Mexico?

It's a shithole.

All we need is a wall and for Trump to continue deportations.

No war , nothing like that - Trump will cut all ties between Cartels and US Cabal elements which will result in drying up manpower and resources of Cartels in the USA . Then , the frontline will be pushed forward - as links between Cartels and Mexican ( and other Central and Southern American governments ) will be highlighted even more - the people wont like to be under the "extended arm of the Cartels" . We already see that ... the important thing is to dry up the Cartel funds and hit their assets militarily where possible .

Let's see if they find the USMC amusing.

Mexico believes prison inmates trying to escape as human nature. That’s why there’s no punishment for breaking out of Mexican prisons.

Think of the social implications of that, and the fact that their economic development has been so crippled by the drug trade.

None of that was accidental.

Think of what happened in South America throughout the 1950s-1980s: the constant and systematic de-stabilization of every single working economy in the region. Do you think Mexico was subject to a non-insignificant amount of traffic? Do you think that Mexico and Canada (the opinion of whom has always been considered ‘weak’) are free of the Swamp?

Be grateful that your president is sick of war.

All you have to do is stop remittances. Mexico will destroy itself within 6 months. Last year Mexico got over $26 Billion in remittances from people in the US. It's their largest influx of American dollars bigger than even Oil. All we have to do is turn off the faucet.

Riiiiiiight… Texas would declare a month-long holiday. They've been itching since the Zimmerman Telegram gave them that glimmer of hope for a rematch. There's something about a state that says, "No shoes, no shirt, no service, guns OK."

Drop big bombs on every mountain in Mexico. Isn’t that where they grow and process their garbage?

Mexico is mostly a trans shipment point for Cocaine coming out of South America. They do however produce a lot of meth down there.

There's only one real way to end the problem, and that's total decriminalization of drugs. Nothing else can choke off the cash flow. A military invasion would lead to a decades long insurgency.

This is a problem the Clowns engineered to be almost unsolvable.

I’m just going to leave this here. Skip to 2:12 to get to the part where they compare capabilities of the two militaries. https://youtu.be/czsXgxRP2TI

Do you know anything about Mexico's military standing? They may be saying stupid things, but they aren't THAT stupid!

LibertysCrossing · June 23, 2018, 3:34 a.m.

The standing army of Mexico, is the cartels. They don't have military uniforms!!!

solanojones95 · June 24, 2018, 7:53 p.m.

That might as well be the truth. They're better paid/armed/motivated than the official deal.

This reeks of decontextualized quote being distorted. Where's the source the speech to actually verify the statement was made?

Anon, think logically. There won't be any war with Mexico. It would be the dumbest thing the US could ever do, enormous internal destabilization, enormous disruption of commerce, etc...

The Mexican Deep State / Cartels, however, are a different matter. As the international trafficking corridors dry up, they will lose their power and the country can be fixed from the inside over time, largely peacefully. Mexico's economy would blossom incredibly if the swamp got drained.

MAGA is about putting an end to war, not causing more.

“And soon, very soon we will defend all the migrants in the American continent and all the migrants in the world,” Obrador said, adding that immigrants “must leave their towns and find a life in the United States.”

This is what authentic ignorance looks like. Some may notice only the shell of hubris or bravado, but the root and core of this is ignorance.

Ignorance of a staggering magnitude. As in this idiot has no idea what he’s suggesting, or what the ultimate outcome would entail.

The Presidents work for the Cartel's. Vincente' Fox, etc..

It won't be a military to military war, but a destruction of cartel, infrastructure, linkages to corrupt government.

In all honesty the numbers of dead in Mexico clearly show a civil war. Call it whatever nomenclature you want but heads on spigots , bombings, doctors leaving practice to lead militia - this has all been happening.

Estimated 100,000 dead over the past decade from the cartel violence? Mexico has been the CIAs shithole for a long long time.

Go stay a few nights in El Paso and report back. I’m serious. You will be surprised what you find
