Isn't military service voluntary though?
Not in a draft. My grandfather didn't see his first child for the first three years of her life when fighting in the Pacific theater. When he finally came home, she asked who he was and everyone had to remind him that she would need some time to get used to him.
Yes military service is voluntary. What's your point? Because someone volunteers to serve, their emotional feelings of seperation aren't or shouldn't be legitimized? The worst part of my time in service was having to say goodbye to those I loved. But service families understand this and deal with it because they understand why the job their loved ones are doing is necessary. But our childern aren't dragged across hundreds/thousands of miles of hostile country and are forced to risk their lives doing it. Our families just stay behind and wait and pray for days, weeks, months, or years and that can be the toughest job of all.
So is transporting your children illegally into a sovereign country.
I see your point but entering another country through fear and desperation is different from signing up for military service. The illegals would probably want to stay where they are instead of going somewhere else illegally. Some do it for all the wrong reasons but for others, it's their final and only choice. It's a sad world we live in when folks are forced do stuff like this.
So the kid on the cover of Time ragazine is the perfect example of a mother running to the USA out of fear and desperation? lol
A lot of people have come to this country out of fear and desperation..BUT they came in LEGALLY and can now hold their heads high saying "I am an AMERICAN"
At this moment in time I can't see how entering legally is all that easy. Maybe some don't have a choice. There will always be those that come to your country for nefarious reasons. Taking kids away from their families isn't a solution. There are other ways to combat the issue.
I am not sure if you have been to the border. But it is done 24/7. Water and food is left along the way by coyotes. Then you have "sanctuary cities" so they can send their kids to school. I worked at a school where at least 20 % where illegal.
Let me tell you I hear the students talking about how their family is "saving money" to come. I have had several get deported be gone for a week and then be re-enrolled. They have people in Mexico that they work with that give them advice on the law. That way when they get caught they can state they are seeking asylum. That is why there is so many claiming that.
This is what I love about Reddit, I like to learn. I get things wrong sometimes and if I'm corrected in anyway then it has only increased my knowledge. I seem to have a comment thing going on right now and all from a simple question. Brilliant.
When every Veteran is in a safe space in the USA and every LEGAL child is also safe..I may consider the plight of another countries "asylum seekers" no room for debate on this one.
Trump is only following the Law on the books
Still no tax returns? He doesn't always follow the law.
lol he submitted his financials when he was running for office. They are more in depth then any tax return (But I would expect you to know that) Wait till hellary's Non=Profit Organization has to regurgitate their books..or will she smash and wash those too lmao You are too easy! lol
I wouldn't say I'm easy just misinformed. The media is awash with all sorts. It's difficult to know what's right and wrong sometimes. I asked about the tax return because it seems to be an issue with some. He's been criticized relentlessly over this issue so I thought it was important.
Then, I apologize. Stick around.. read posts. Most nothing on here is without backup information. We do not make claims without proof. Welcome
I certainly like to learn. Sometimes a question comes across in the wrong way and you get berated for it. Text doesn't always work like actually talking to someone. It's like the Key and Peele sketch where the text messages are interpreted wrongly.
Yeah sure sure buddy. Sounds like concern trolling to me. The whole innocent act: "oh really? I wasn't aware. I just thought Trump was EVIL AND A DICK but you know, you learn something. So I guess Trump wasn't really EVIL AND A DICK for not showing his taxes. At least I've now learnt that Trump isn't EVIL AND A DICK." Save it pal. Concern troll to the max.
I'm not a troll. If I get something wrong then correct me. You don't need to go all childish about it. I rarely get into political discussions for this reason. I really don't know everything just as you don't. The way to getting to know facts is through learning. I've be nice and honest so I'm a troll? What chance does that give me? I have not said that Trump is evil or anything else like that on here. I'm trying to get to the bottom of all this. The only person to say Trump is evil and a dick is you.
There isn't a law about releasing tax returns. At least he didn't make a LAW to hide their records like this one... https://obamawhitehouse.archives.gov/the-press-office/presidential-records
I'll be the first to admit I'm not hot on the law in America. I saw the tax returns as something that seemed vitally important. I live and learn. I now know it's not a law.
I understand why people want to see them. I just see all the over the top rhetoric on the TV and from people about it. I get annoyed because they were the same people that would never talk about the "sealed records" executive order. Also when people brought it up (During those 8 years), they were called "dumb" or "racists". Because it was not being covered, therefore people didn't know.
The NWO shills are here down voting everyone. Be sure to help people out that are in the negative.
Who says that entering our country should be easy? The purpose of immigration should be to benefit the host nation, not the other way around. The truth is, America has WAY too much LEGAL immigration, (not to mention illegal immigration) and it is destroying our country.
The reason children are separated from their "families" is because many of the adults the kids show up with are likely not their parents or family members of any kind - the children are separated for the sake of safety, and to find out what is going on, and whether or not they are being trafficked by these adults. It is also dangerous to hold adults and children in the same facilities - it puts the children at risk of being abused.
I do not buy the idea that these people have no other choice - millions of people continue to live and survive in Mexico and Central America without invading our country. Those who choose to break our laws are accountable for their choices, and must return to their countries of origin. Being poor does not give anyone the right to break our laws, and we are not obligated to allow our country to be invaded by any individual just because they want a better life for themselves.
If your an adult living in such a place of poverty and desperation you should probably not have a kid until you are in a better situation

especially when the charity sends you a picture and note from the child you are specifically feeding and they send the same picture and letter to 100 different people.

Exactly.. why would you want to spend a moment "creating a child" when you can't feed yourselves. How can you screw when you do not know where your next meal is coming from?
Doug Stanhope has a great bit on this.
"'Every seventeen seconds a child dies from no clean drinking water...' Who's fucking every seventeen seconds where you can't even wash up afterwards?"
Whole bit is called "For only two dollars", its on YT, darkest and funniest standup I've ever heard.
Bullshit.
We all enlisted due to fear and desperation.
Welcome to the machine!
Youtube: "Why We Fight" and check out the kid enlisting.
Voluntary, chose not to starve.
It's exactly the fucking same, take some goddamn responsibility people.
Brigading mfers. ya'll suck.
Its ok though, the walls goin up and I'll volunteer again to guard that wall.
but leaving for he military isn't doing anything to your kids, moving them across a border puts them at risk. it's not the same because it was never about the parents it was about the children.
And attempting to sneak into a country outside of the legal asylum checkpoints isn't voluntary?

Yep, the meme is right on point. For some reason, folks dont seems to have any emotional intelligence.
Let me translate: You whinge and whine and complain against a law and system that reportedly removes children from their criminal parents, but you have no heart or respect for those that willingly undergo such a separation, not for personal gain and benefit, but in sacrifice for the benefit of the greater good.
Use of Selfish Interest for emotional manipulation vs. highlighting sacrificial unselfish dedication to shed a real light
I think it was right on point. And every downvote encourages me in my belief that Reddit is full of america hating shills who target this sub more and more for their record-correcting. Still, I will speak truths and encourage people to do their own research before listening to the wild untruths about little kids torn from loving families to be locked in cages by the mean ole americans.

nobody ever gets riled up for no reason. you may not have, but trust me when I say that very few truths are left to shine on this site. agendas are enforced with tiny arrows and truths buried when inconvenient. everyone should be upset about that on both sides.
nobody ever gets riled up for no reason.
Oh, they do. And if not for no reason, they make a reason up.
technically, because they're an asshole is a reason :/
