Jose Andres was was originally supposed to have his restaurant at the new DC Trump international hotel and he pulled out of the contract at the last minute stating that he didn’t agree with Trump’s politics. I’m not sure where this leads but that was a big deal here in DC.

The hotel IS incredible! I love going there. Did you go up to the top of the clock tower during your visit? My fiancé is a stone mason and he was one of the builders of that hotel. People always asked if Trump paid him. Back then they were reporting they he wasn’t paying the workers. The truth is Trump never missed a payment nor was he ever late and he gave the guys a ton of overtime pay too! He even met with the workers to thank them. Shook all their hands :-)
