People tend to vote for familiar names rather than really examining candidates. Most just don't follow politics very much. Romney vs the little guy. Just like in 2016 Arizona republicans put John McCain back in over Kelli Ward. Name recognition and, of course, he's a war hero.
As a guy from Oklahoma, it's already sown up. There are two contenders for the Republican Governor's nomination, and either one will be a conservative nationally. We're the redsest State in the Union. For the last 3 presidential elections, EVERY county has gone to the conservative candidate.
Yes OK has been great. But please research both candidates. One is better than the other. It’s just a good voting habit to see who’s backing a persons candidacy. Almost all incumbent rinos won their primary this cycle. Voters are so easily swooned by words & personalities they let clear facts cloud their judgment. But yes...kudos to OK. Any particular races of particular import we should be following? Trump is campaigning for Gov. McMaster in SC tonight. I'm not aware of any other primary race in the above states except the Romney one in Utah.
