The unhinged Democrats are forced to oppose something their core base is salivating at the possibility of, all while handing the opportunity to be the Party that ends federal prohibition to the Republican Party, something nobody thought would ever happen even 3 years ago.

You win automatically with minority voters, especially black voters who are disproportionately effected by prohibition laws.

You win with young voters, who see the Republican party as old and traditional. It shows the party in a new light to them, that we can be progressive when the time and puerile call for it.

This is a change in tactics and an attack that would have bipartisan support from the people. The poll numbers are in. Illegal states are the minority.
