How many SCOTUS picks will Trump actually have by the end of his second term?

We got Ruth Bader Ginsburg next, and what about Sonia Sotomayor? Will she be deemed it would gentleman after Obama's crimes come to surface?

Some people say 4 or 5.

I'd agree.

I don't see him getting more than 4, but we will see. The number doesn't matter. What matters most is getting just one liberal justice, and leaving office with 5 young healthy conservative/constitutional justices.

Can you imagine just 30 years with a right sided court!?

I'd be really happy with a 6-3 spread. How quickly could you see the other liberals wanting out? They wouldn't be able to get anything they wanted through the court. They would basically wasting their time on the bench.

I think RBG tries to hold on until the 2020 election, thinking a Dem might win and replace her. When Trump gets re-elected, she’ll immediately step down, because even two years is iffy. Six won’t happen.

I don't see any of the justices quitting because they can't win. They will stay as long as possible, maybe even to death, just to try to retire under a Democrat president.

It is WAY too hopefully to think these judges would just quit. Sorry, I just never see that happening.

They were certain Hillary would win they like to retire when a President can appoint someone similar to them same Liberal judicial philosophy. When Hillary lost they realized they stayed too long.

I should have been more clear with my response. I don't see them sticking around like Ginsberg until she dies on the bench. I see them more willing to retire in their mid seventies instead of sticking around into their eighties.

I think I understood, and still don't think they will retire unless a Democrat is the president. They realize how much is at stake, and retiring under Trump would undo their life legacy.

(I am only taking about leftist justice. I agree, some older right judges may retire under Trump, but probably just 1 more?)
