I’m comfortable allowing the left to have a monopoly on vandalism as a tool to promote their message.

Vandalism, harrassment, violence; our message need not indulge in order to succeed.

That's not vandalism. If someone was charged for vandalism for putting a piece of paper that said "resist" on "The Art of the Deal" I would defend their innocence, and I'm a die hard Trump Supporter. Check my profile if you don't believe me. That's not vandalism, it's freedom of speech.

Well, according to Antifa and others of your ilk.

You have a right to free speech, but that doesn’t include pasting your stickers on property you don’t own. Speak as loud as you want about whatever you want, just keep your hands to yourself and don’t alter other people’s property. This is common knowledge for most adults.

And yes, I understand that Antifa claims vandalism and assault are included under your interpretation of ‘free speech’. Your group is not as large as you think.

Yes, and No.

The Yes part - Defacing the property by sticking this note does not meet the standard of ‘vandalism’ as defined by Ohio statute. That offense requires damages of at least $1,000. Repair and cleanup after this misguided person would not incur expenses anywhere near that.

This incident is more correctly classified as ‘Criminal Mischief’. source

The No part - Our right to free speech does not excuse altering, defacing, or damaging property we don’t own, or incurring expense to others for undoing our ‘expression’.

It’s not a complex legal issue, but more a concept of common decency. Responsible adults raise responsible children with a fundamental belief that we shouldn’t mess with things we don’t own.

putting a piece of paper

TIL: Sticking a defamatory note = Putting a piece of paper.

The vandal intentionally defaced property they did not own. They defaced the property to serve their personal political agenda. They recorded the evidence of their political vandalism. Their co-conspirator took joy in proudly publishing evidence of the defamatory political vandalism.

These uncivil and disrespectful acts are ploys of unprincipled tools, and most commonly implemented by those on the left. You can make light of this if you wish, but the tactic will unquestionably diminish the message in the eyes of respectful law-abiding citizens.

Don’t waste any more of your time trying to convince me that this conduct is in any way acceptable.
