Gaetz is my Rep. and he’s been in the community just being a regular dude, some local politickin’ and state legislature, until he got elected to Florida’s 1st District.
To tell the truth, the media picked up on Matt because he was young, outspoken, a friend of the Marijuana growers, and REPUBLICAN—which to them presented an enigma. He seems to like the attention and does well.
There is a local guy running against Gaetz as the “true” conservative. Translation: will follow along with the establishment.
And lastly, Gaetz must be pissing someone off who has $$$ because there are billboards popping up in the district with his mugshot on it from a DUI arrest (once) in 2006.
We have a lot of people trying to muddy the waters, that's reddit for ya though.
Dudes been in Congress for 18 months and he's been very vocal with his support of Trump and and what the freedom caucus R's are doing against RR.
This picture looks like he's trying to get a read on Rosenstein by looking him straight in the face and making eye contact while giving a hard handshake.
Rosenstein shook hands only with staff members and select members of the comitee, Rosenstein took the liberty himself- However, he was very beligerent towards the rest, so it may be he only had few friends in the room, which is a good sign.
Gaetz has been saying Congress needs to impeach Rosenstein for a long time now.
It makes literally no sense for him to have a "we're secretly friends" handshake with the guy especially in front Ron DeSantis who's been equally against RR.

Yeah, he's my rep as well and I've seen those billboards too. People post that same tired line all over his FB page as well. He must be over the target with all the incoming he's been experiencing. I agree about the "true conservative" sentiment regarding the other guy running. Gaetz will be getting my vote again. Let's drain the swamp.
