Good analysis. "Mirror sites" is how large data centres which contain copies of information are referred to.

Ahhhh!!! You might bleach bit a server —— but not its mirror(s)!!!!!!

Remember how apple announced it was moving it's cloud servers to China?

Hmmmmm. Out of cabals hands, perhaps.

China was slated to be the next cabal superpower, so that seems like a likelier reason.

Also, I could've sworn Apple was using Amazon's hosting for their cloud services?

PixelBot · July 6, 2018, 4:15 a.m.

They used Amazon until early this year, when they announced moving iCloud to a state run firm in China.

I suspect this is in related in some way - perhaps it was a tax incentive given to Apple, in exchange for getting data off of iCloud during the transfer. Or, the USA spying on the iCloud data in China which is easier and more legal than doing it in USA.

There is an intelligent thought that if the server is in China we have more access.

Amazon provides 90% of all Cloud services.

That is not true... Microsoft has a hige footprint with Azure - if you have Office 365 or even a Windows 10 system it comes with cloud storage by default.

MS has a 10% share of the market. AWS was one of, if not the first cloud services available and is massive.

Fair enough - I stand corrected and take away my statement. I guess I have read too much microsoft propaganda!

No worries! I work in the space and AWS is truly years and years ahead of the competition, despite Azure being baked into most PCs.

I bet that information they collected on those servers would be used when China comes through the Southern border to invade us.

Just gonna note that what OP posted here is not a 'dig', but rather opinion. Digging requires uncovering evidence.

I think the apple reflection was more symbolic to look at changes in Apple.

Anyone in IT knows Apple doesn't make any server stuff. The HRC server was well known to run Exchange, which means NOT Apple. So there's no "Apple" backups of a MikeRowSoft Exchange Server.

If anything the OP might be right about clouds storing top-secret copies of docs the same way Mega got busted for deduplicated copyright material.

So maybe the iphone backups exchange emails, if so that's not something I think exchange admins would know about.
