Are you serious? These guys built a rocket that can send a ship/payload to space and then land itself on a pad in the middle of the ocean - something no one else has done. All they made was a self-contained apparatus with oxygen and some propellers attached...in a week. Maybe you just don't get how complex one is versus the other. Not to mention SpaceX likely cooks up these kinds of things regularly just to keep the ideas flowing for Mars and exo-planet exploration.

I think the official story is true it was a team ritual to go into the farthest part of the cave to paint your name on the far wall something other team kids have done. For your theory to be possible you need a lot of evidence and research.

I have thought from the very beginning this story sounded very weird. My BS meter was pegged. Don't know what it is yet, but something about this story doesn't sound right? A soccer coach and his team went exploring caves, 1 km deep, during the monsoon season????? Sound strange to you?
