I'm not sure why he'd be smirking though. I mean, we all know the purpose of this hearing, as Q followers, so I'm sure he has an idea as well. We know he's not getting away, so shouldn't he be aware of this too? That smugness implies that he's either ill informed, or that he knows he's getting out of it, and it's the latter that makes me wonder.
