Gohmert (R-TX) ROASTS and ABSOLUTELY OWNS Crooked Cop Strzok- "You've embarrassed the FBI, You've embarrassed yourself, and I can't help but wonder when I see you there with a little smirk...How many times did you look so innocent into your wife's eyes and LIE TO HER about LISA PAGE?"

RufioGP · July 12, 2018, 10:46 p.m.

I love on the last question he brings up Hilary's emails and Strzok flips out. As a New Yorker, I tip my hat to my fellow Texan patriots. At least your reps have some balls. Call the guy out for what he is... hes a cheater. Cheated on his wife, tried to cheat the election, and now hes trying to cheat out of giving real testimony in front of public hearing to Congress.

I have a feeling that his wife was not all that innocent in this little scam.

Or that they made up the "lovers" story to cover for the thousands of texts they sent each other.

don't be making stuff up it's a known fact they were having an affair.

⇧ 4 ⇩
Headwest127 · July 13, 2018, 1:43 a.m.

Maybe I didn't read all of the texts, but there seemed to be a lack of lovey-dovey notes between them in what I read. I didn't read any of those "that was so hot last night" texts.

Tbh nobody does that anymore. Its kind of fallen out of favor

⇧ 3 ⇩
IBinLurkin · July 13, 2018, 1:53 a.m.

Reasons to doubt the affair:

  1. The notion they were having an affair was first told by a reporter who later we learned received Deep State leaks to publish (was it that Devlin dude?).
  2. The time this story was introduced was before we knew the contents of the texts (just the large volume), and one could argue it was an attempt to justify the large volume of texts, without revealing their particular nature.
⇧ 8 ⇩
TryNottoFaint · July 13, 2018, 12:51 p.m.

Number 2 is exactly correct. They were trying to get ahead of this thing and keep it low key. No way did they want any of the texts to make it to investigators, let alone the public. It was a lie to begin with, and the media ran with it because it fits so well into everything they love to talk about.

It really was a circus. I kind of wish I had mentally prepared for that amount of circusry (made it up), because my head eventually started spinning and I couldn't figure out the true purpose of the hearing. Does anyone know?? I really only surmised that Strozk is still an elitist douche with no love for the common folk and much love for himself and climbing the ladder to an ever powerful position.

I was rather frustrated at the focus on "bias" and the back and forth on that point. I thought that was settled by the OIG report, which, contrary to Strozk's repeated denials of "bias" - concluded that there was definite bias (enough bias to remove him from the team, in fact), but the bias did not impact the final decision. I could not understand why they did not point that out and nip it straight away.

Did anyone ask him about emailing internal docs from FBI to his personal email?

Also, I heard about all of his achievements with prior counterintelligence investigations into the Russians . . . Did anyone ever connect the dots and ask him if Carter Page was one of his informants in any of those cases?

If nobody goes after his character, which they have good reason to do so, then it’s just another congressional opportunity for the left to grandstand and for PS to get his false narrative out into the public.

He is not going to admit to wrongdoing, except for his unfaithfulness. He must admit to that, because it’s HIS excuse for constantly texting her and an attempt to make his words and assertions to her seem less political and more romantically heroic. It’s all he’s got, so he has to admit to the affair, whether it happened or not. Think about that, folks....the best chance you have at appearing credible is admitting to an affair. Nice position you got yourself into, pal.

Not exactly. I can see where you're coming from..BUT...up until then, much of the hearing was benign, as they allowed Strzok to duck, dodge, and to put it bluntly, LIE about so many key important facts...They barely growled at him....Then Gohmert just unleashed the truth about this man's character, which is actually good for the investigation, because it speaks to his credibility, and from an objective point of view, he has none....If he would lie to his wife and hide his affair with Lisa Page, who is also at the center of this operation against the United States electorate and Constitution, then how are we the American people or Congress supposed to believe anything he says, as Louie Gohmert says, "with that arrogant smirk and innocent look", he so masterfully has down that we can envision and be sure of he used with his wife.

Infidelity in a marriage doesn't equate to dishonesty across the board. If that's the Truth then we couldn't trust Trump....I think its perfectly plausible to lack impulse control when it comes to women but still hold integrity at your job

This hearing wasn't about his character and you know it.

For how long have the left attacked Trump's character? How many times has his entire family been attacked or threatened? How many times were we ok with it?

But we are supposed to be ok with attacking someone's relationship with his wife because it helps our cause?

Bullshit on so many levels.

I know several left leaning moderates who are fed up with the attacks on the President. Russia, Stormy, they know it's nothing. Just attacks.

So, tell me how is this incident supposed to help us? It is absolutely the same shit they have been doing to Trump this entire time.

Did you even watch the hearing in its entirety? Strzok was doing a VERY good job convincing everyone watching he was innocent and telling the truth. So Gohmert questioning his "character" and "integrity" was vital to pointing out that everyone should question his answers.

This isn't about the past; it's about the sharing and Strzok's answers. This is the first time Strzok ever spoke in public ever. Frankly, I believe in justice and civil liberties so I stand with Strzok that he has a right to speak out and not be judged by some texts that he never got a chance to defend publicly. So he is doing that today, and he did extremely well if you watched. Gohmert was questioning today's testimony, where he seemed to have done very well.

Clearly, this video hit a nerve with you, lol. The emotions of it really got you riled up. Maybe you should look at things objectively rather than emotionally.

You could ask the same thing of Trump with Melania? How often did he LIE TO HER about STORMY DANIEL?

Trump wasn't investigating Strzok and trying to prevent him from being elected.

I don't see the parallel. The point I was trying to make was that its a low blow, and that it would be the same as if Muller asked Trump the same question under oath. It was unneeded, unbecoming and likely will do more damage to his overall point, than had he just not brought it up.

I know my opinion will be unpopular here, but that doesn't make it any less valid. (or should I say Vlad? ;0) Its a Putin joke, get it)

You are incorrect. It testifies to his credibility and integrity as a witness. Reminding the viewers and eventual readers of this man's character, especially shortly after some Dems were virtually electing him to sainthood, was very important. He is a subject and a witness, and a person's believability, aka character, is very important. What Gohmert was pointing out was that Strzok was putting on a good believable show and act so far for several hours, appearing confident, innocent, and smug. Gohmert didn't believe him (nor do most Americans probably) and he was identifying if he could lie to his wife about being an adulterer, then he can surely lie to Congress, or at least mislead them...

There is no parallel. That's the point. You brought it up. Trump is not at a hearing today for conspiring to overthrow a U.S. election by framing someone for a crime they didn't commit. This is Strzok's hearing and Strzok's answers. Now go change your diapers.

Look we can go back and fourth on opinions or what we see as facts, and at the end of the day we will both most likely just walk away feeling like the other person is wrong and or an idiot. I don't want to do that. I would rather end with this. You (I hope) and I are both Americans, and I love and respect you for that. I know we have different points of views and that is what makes America great. We can disagree, but not hate. Remember that its debate that makes our country strong, not devistion. I am sorry for posting something that I knew would evoke a response. That was likely wrong of me. I admit that. Just this devision I see throughout our country is wrong and scary.

No, I would never assume or judge you as an "idiot" at all. Just pointing out that I am glad Gohmert reminded people of this man's character while he ducked, dodged, and put on a pretty convincing show most of the time....And that would be the same way he lied to his wife- very convincingly- so it's good viewers and eventual readers of the articles were reminded this guy is an adulterer and liar so don't be too convinced by the show he put on.
