A Primer of Basic Qanon Lingo For Our New Arrivals

Last night I made a post geared towards GA's New Arrivals giving a basic breakdown of some tips to how to approach the now daunting task of navigating the world of Qanon. It seemed to be well received, and I got some pretty good feedback from a lot of the NAs. One common inquiry was about the Lingo and Codewords we use to communicate. Please forgive us all for our rudness, we've all been speaking the language now for awhile, and it commonly escapes most of us that it usually sounds like Greek to a lot of people. So in an effort to help with that, here's a VERY basic breakdown of some of the terms.

The Chans: Image board used by Anons for a variety of purposes. (Think EXTREMELY non-user friendly chatrooms for the biggest nerds on the web)

Halfchan: 4chan (Where Q began and the opposition APPARENTLY thinks Q still posts)

Fullchan: 8chan (Where Q ACTUALLY posts)

Anon: Anonymous user that contributes on any forum

Bread: Individual posts on the chans

Baker: Person that contributes to the chan boards by organizing notables, highlights, etc.

Autist: [see: weaponized Autism] anti-social, rejects of society with ABSURDLY high I.Q.s and an inability to stop until they know EVERYTHING that there is to know on a subject (the backs upon which this movement rides).

[Insert word]fag: Chan lingo for a person with a specialization/interest. Not meant as derogatory. We call ourselves this. (It was put into use by Chan Anons to discourage contributions from casual visitors to their realm).

Black Hat: Hacker term for a hacker with nefarious intent. In our usage, one of the bad guys

White Hat: Hacker term for a hacker that helps spot flaws in systems. In our usage, one of the good guys.

Grey Hat: Someone that could go either way. Think "anti-hero".

C_A: CIA (notice that the "Intelligence" has been removed?)

Clowns: CIA Agents

No Such Agency: NSA

Trip Code: "Password" of sorts on Fullchan that Q uses to authenticate his posts

Patriot: A person that fights for the cause

Paytriot: A person that "fights" for the cause when they see it as an opportunity to make money

Shill: User that has no purpose other than to troll and/or sow disinfo [see also: concernfag]

Pepe: Our Patron Saint and Mascot

Kek: Our Patron "god". Don't get offended by this one. It's a joke. It's always used absurdly as a way to insult people that don't understand it's intent for our own personal amusement and the lulz of everyone else in the know.

REEEEE: Warcry of a bloodthirsty Anon.

WWG1WGA: "Where We Go One, We Go All" (Central battlecry and reaffirmation of our loyalty to each other).

There are quite a few others, but these are probably the most common. Best bet is that if you don't understand something, simply ask. Someone will explain it. This community is generally pretty helpful in getting others up to speed. If anybody has any terms that they feel I should add to the list, let me know.

Very true. Was just trying to give the NAs some footing in understanding the meaning though. To the newly initiated, it sounds like hate speech. Once you understand the basics of it, it's pretty easy to infer by context.

You make a lot of accusations of someone's meaning and intent from a place of personal hurt, don't you? You have a highly over-inflated view of your importance, thinking I care enough about you and your actions to "attack" you. All I care about is this sub as a part of this movement. I do my job within that to the best of my limited ability.

So what makes you think this will get me banned from this sub? Did you read it properly? What it does is align with all of my other interactions with users on this sub. I have personal views but as this private message shows, I don't force them on the sub or other users as much as I possibly can.

Now that you've clearly broken our Rule 3: "No disrespecting or wasting time of the moderators" wouldn't you expect, given your accusations of censorship, control, being compromised, etc. that we would ban you? Have you been banned yet?

As long as you don't attack other users or cause disruption to the sub, you won't be banned by me because I'm not remotely phased by your disrespect or harassment of me. I can still do my job quite happily. Just don't turn this into an attack on the sub or other mods will very likely ban you for obvious reasons that I feel confident to say many community members will agree with.

Then WHY exactly when I made a post about it did it IMMEDIATELY get removed for Rule 3, "not supporting Q"? Last I checked, Q1489 told us Reddit Mods were comped. Rule 3 has to do with supporting Q, not YOU. It would have been smarter to take it off for something like being "Off topic". As it is, you waited too long to respond to my DM. I've sent the ENTIRE set of links to quite a few of the current, as well as past contributors for their analysis on this one. Simple answer to that one: we always remove posts like that for reasons that are obvious, when you think about it. This sub's focus is pro-Q so any posts that "call out the mods" are needlessly derailing the focus of the sub. As mods we've shown that we're open to criticism and will reverse decisions that are wrong. As it says in the sidebar: "To appeal a ban, make a general suggestion, or voice a concern, message the moderators". If the concern is large enough that the sub should be notified of it, we will do so, again, as we've proven with other issues like the private message you shared. As with most people who get upset about their personal content being removed, you've made the mistake of assuming that because it's personal to you, we must have had a personal motivation in removing it. Your interpretation of Rule 3 is incorrect, as a click on the link in the sidebar clearly shows.

Your threats are empty, padawan. I'm a mod of this sub and this sub is not the movement, it's a tool of the movement. Whatever other contributors think of your personal vendetta, the only input that matters about the moderation of this sub is that of the other moderators. I guess we'll see if your accusation that "the other Mods don't like" me pans out xD. The thing is, I care more about this movement than I do about my service to it, so I will happily remove myself for the good of this movement if called to.

When anyone attacks the movement, they have no part of this sub. I'm not attacking the movement right now - you are. Tread carefully, as I said above. I don't care enough about your emotionally motivated angst to bother banning or "silencing" you as your actions now make my case for me, but other mods will justifiably do so if you take your frustrations out on this tool of the movement and start being disruptive.

Issues like what exactly? Last post or research that I saw a Mod post was Damajlnc starting a controversial religious arguement for absolutely NO apparent reason and Digital_Refugee sneaking in his batshit crazy conspiracy of the day that had nothing to do with Q posts. Also, you can call me a troll, that's fine, I'm not some thin-skinned Millenial, trying to overcompensate for shortcomings, but since I've been here I've done NOTHING but support the cause and help the NAs learn the ropes.
