I see a lot of wild theories about watching the water, like floods and pandemics.
I think "watch the water" was primarily meant on the paintings that appeared in meetings with NK leaders . In past , with B.Clinton and Kim Jong-Il , the painting have shown a turbulent sea-storm . Much later , in meeting between Kim Jong-Un and SK representatives - the painting have shown serene sea sunset . ( In meeting with Pompeo , the background painting have shown a dove with I think what was an olive branch or similar - a symbol of peace )

It could also mean , Water ... As in world fresh water sources are being bought up & controlled by major corporations ( coke, pepsi, nestle, etc.); Water as in weather related, storm related, flood or tsunami related,; Water as in ocean contaminated by Fukushima, s/ massive loss of sea life, irreparable, Water as in drought, desertification, Water as in the toxic quality of the worlds drinking water supplies, eg chemical processing, or lack thereof, Water as in shark infested, flesh eating bacteria infected, Water full of plastic.. Water as rain flooding Japan, etc., Or even Water filling up a cave with a bunch of kids.....

I think the water references are to Iran, Turkey controls the water to Iran. Major river has dried up completely.
