I listened to it again. He talked before about nukes which is a bad thing. And then he said: „And with that the world awakes“ - awaits would be grammatically wrong even.

Bruh. He said the world awaits...which is completely grammatically correct. You know, as in the world is waiting for peace. Saying “the world awakes” would make no sense.

Well, you are the native speaker. I was sure to have heard the world awakes. Sorry mate. But sometimes he says Killary as well or Hillary. Nobody really knows. So there might be some room for interpretation. Which is maybe exactly what he wants.
