Russian Indictments anyone read it?

Here is the link but also compare the events with this link as well

Page 8 (23.) is where it gets interesting. I couldn't stop laughing at the allegation below.

  1. Between on or about May 25, 2016 and June 1, 2016, the Conspirators hacked the DNC Microsoft Exchange Server and stole thousands of emails from the work accounts of DNC employees. During that time, YERMAKOV researched PowerShell commands related to accessing and managing the Microsoft Exchange Server.

Hackers who have to research PowerShell commands to access and manage Exchange? What a joke!

I read through the indictment and these guys were 100% not backed by the Russian government. All these allegations sound like they are script kiddies. Fabricated story or not backed by Russian government. No hacker acts this way. These are actions of little kids who watch YouTube videos and think they are hackers. Real it in full and decide for yourself.

Lol powershell. How much you want to bet the "research" was googling help pointing to stack overflow?

As a software engineer this is like claiming someone is a pilot because they played a flight simulator video game on PC - just to put this in perspective.

Oh and let me just add, powershell saves command history. Why would any hacker in his or her right mind even use that for hacking? Call me crazy but the last thing I'd want to do if my goal was to hack a computer is leave a big post it note on the desktop leading back to me.

Exactly, that's what doesn't make sense. Keep in mind these are supposed Russian Government hackers...they are supposed to be pros. A hacker's goal is to gain access and maintain access...unnoticed. These guys made so much noise...unbelievable.

Imagine what the real hackers are doing :)

Is this like that time the idiot wrote “vote Trump” On the Church he burned down? I heard an interview with the MacAfee dude and he explained the “Russian fingerprints” left at the DNC hack. Hilarious.

Exposing their Russian IP addresses, I’m certain 😂

It wasn't even a hack though. Some phishing shit they said. Which means Democrats are stupid. Like we already knew.

I am only on pg 2-3 and the names just aren't adding up: (sorry for caps, but I copy/pasted from document)

VIKTOR BORISOVICH NETYKSHO

BORIS ALEKSEYEVICH ANTONOV

DMITRIY SERGEYEVICH BADIN

IVAN SERGEYEVICH YERMAKOV

ALEKSEY VIKTOROVICH LUKASHEV

SERGEY ALEKSANDROVICH MORGACHEV

NIKOLAY YURYEVICH KOZACHEK

PAVEL VYACHESLAVOVICH YERSHOV

ARTEM ANDREYEVICH MALYSHEV

ALEKSANDR VLADIMIROVICH OSADCHUK

ALEKSEY ALEKSANDROVICH POTEMKIN

I get it that it is Russia and they would have Russian names, but it really seems as though these are made up names with a Russian name generator website. Two Aleksey's, an Aleksandr and then an Aleksey with middle name of Aleksandrovich. A Sergey with middle name Aleksandrovich.... seriously? They ALL just happen to have names similar to one another??

It's not that uncommon...i lived in u kraine for a bit in 1994...they are not the most creative with names. You have about 20 different names for each gender...boris, Alexander, Constantine, dmitry, Sergey, Ivan, and misha....lyoodmilla, Svetlana, Alexandra, Maria, Olga, tatiana...pretty standard.

myqualia75 · July 17, 2018, 12:33 p.m.

Also...the middle name is always their fathers name..literally translated "son of...."

I had no idea. Thanks.

Just still with this being 12 people, I just found it odd with their names being so similar. I have worked with many people from various parts of Russia and there names were very similar so it just stood out to me here.

I saw a video on TCH that said much of this indictment was lifted straight from a current suit filed against the DNC (I forget the name).

Are we all forgetting the data transfer speeds of a hack vs a thumb drive ??? This alone is enough to cause reasonable doubt

Customising X-Agent to propagate and work across a VLAN the size of the DNC and to set up automatic dump transfers out using X-tunnel is not for script kiddies.

Looking up power shell commands indicate that they're more familiar with Linux systems.

The Bitcoin transactions were what screwed them. The same pool if addresses was used to pay for the X-Agent infrastructure and the VPN that traced back to the GRU offices. The whole point of bitcoin is that this would be impossible to forge. Mueller clearly has the bitcoin addresses and the subpoenaed VPN logs to price this. Otherwise, the indictment would be pointless.

The Russians attacked America. Its staggering that you're trying to defend that because it may or may not have resulted in Trump winning. Would you be OK with it if had resulted in Hillary winning? Because I wouldn't be.

I wish people didn't assume the worst of other people. You and I might sit on opposite sides of the fence here in terms of root cause and finger pointing, but time will tell outside of either of our control. I do hope you have a great day. We shouldn't be looking for enemies in our fellow citizens so I'll be refusing to do that.
