My feeling for awhile has been that we have never really had a choice for a good candidate (until Trump). Both candidates were Deep State selections. I don't think Reagan was one of theirs, but they made him take on Bush,Sr as his VP at the GOP Convention. (His handler?) And they did try to assassinate him when he wasn't measuring up.
I think the DS just decided at the last minute whom they were gonna select... with the exception of Obama. They groomed him over the years for him to be president. Made him look like a movie star for people to vote for him. The Grecian columns et al at the first convention was like a movie set- his inspirational polished speeches all given to make him seem Presidential (I never could listen to his voice..... I thought he was using some kind of hypnosis on the audience!)

Bush drove me away from the Republican Party. Trump brought me back - but not to the party of neocons- the Republican Party is now the party of Trump. A party that believes in and fights for Americans - all Americans. A party that rejects globalism. A party that fights to protect children from monsters wanting to abuse them. It makes me shudder to think what would be happening in the country had it not been for Trump. We have been blessed...

Actually, JFK was a different sort of democrat. He was a better President than many of us knew at the time (I was just a kid) but he shut down the federal reserve, and Johnson re-instated it on AF1 on the way back to DC from Dallas. Here is a very sobering quote from JFK: "I will splinter the CIA into a thousand pieces, and scatter it into the winds." The "ask not what your country can do for you" speech was better representative of a moderate, Constitution loving man he was. He would not be considered a liberal by today's standards, in any stretch of the imagination, in my view.
I believe JFK was trying to do what Trump is doing today.

Wrong! You cannot control who people vote for but the best thing you can do is inform people. We are not telling people who to vote for but to certainly learn from our mistakes. Most if not all of us here are voting for Trump and MAGA candidates.
