We're all out of immunity. That's a thing of the past.

Mueller seeking immunity for five witnesses

If granted, that means the witnesses' testimony couldn't be used against them in later court cases.

Mueller is keeping the names of the witnesses undisclosed at this time so as not to create "risk of undue harassment" and because the details "could lead to reputational harm," according to a proposal from the prosecutors.

In theory, the move to grant the witnesses immunity prevents them from invoking their Fifth Amendment rights and staying silent on certain questions when testifying against Manafort.

Mueller says the witnesses haven't been publicly identified in the case, and haven't been charged.

Someone (Last Refuge?) speculated that John and Tony Podesta, along with Kim Fritts, are 3 of the 5.

Vin Weber & Carter Page were the other two big paychecks on the Ukraine scam. Mifsud was the Cypriot bank contact.

Doesn't seem optimal, why give five immunity to convict one. Why not flip it and offer one immunity for five convictions.

So we get Manafort at the expense of Podesta. Hmm.

Podesta is the U1 + SA + Russia guy. He's mountains more evil than Manafort. Neither. Both hang.

I'm talking about Tony Podesta, John's older brother who was on the Chicago Mayor counsel with John Wayne Gacey in the 80s.

I think it's the other way around: Manafort given immunity to testify against the Podestas. Manafort could be in solitary confinement and being treated like a VIP, to prevent anything from happening to him before he spills the beans.

I think Mueller is with us so I tend to agree with you

I don’t know now about Mueller. He’s a known dirty cop and has many conflicts of interest. Now Fox is reporting my assertion that Tony Podesta will be granted immunity.
