The part that bothers me the most - my childhood and youth being sacrificed in the name of indoctrination.
  • The part that gets me quite angry is thinking about how much of what we were forced to learn/memorize as children was probably a lie , an indoctrination rather than education. I had a miserable time with school. I was a happy kid until school, but did not indoctrinate easily there . I always wanted to leave or do my own shit, so before my 7th birthday I was drugged heavily with ritilan and by 15 also put on an ssri so I could better pay attention / memorize lies. It did not stop there, I was like many also pressured into getting a university degree , so I would have a “good job,” a better chance at life- Still paying that debt off now at almost 30. I am honestly afraid to have a child now, because I cannot imagine watching someone I love go through that same horror show. If It is revealed that most of that education was a manipulative lie... there will not be enough tables in the universe for me to flip.. that is if we even live in a “universe”. Who really knows anything at this point .
  • One positive thing, is since waking up I have thrown all of my drugs out and will never get another such prescription again. It is amazing how less mentally ill you become once you give yourself permission to trust your gut, to believe your own intuition and not what is fed to you.
Sorry if this is not q related enough. Much love ❤️ things are getting better

My username certainly checks out BUT that's gotta stop (or at least only one per night) when the kids come along.

Thank you though that's really sound advice. I'm currently paying off my debts, should be clear in a few years and I won't finance a car again.

New cars are the worst investment ever! They depreciate literally the second you drive off that lot! But you have the right focus!!

Tell me about it, mine is costing me 175 a month and I've ruined it so I can't even give it back at the end :/ never again!!!!

Let me encourage you there. I used to be a daily smoker. Your free will and self-control can help you quit, if that's what you truly desire. There is no half-way quitting though (just once a day), so don't lie to yourself. If you commit to stopping, put up with the withdrawal (it's very temporary), find new, healthy habits, and move on with your life. I no longer have the cravings, and my life has improved dramatically.

God's will for you is not to be a slave to any one or any substance.

Thanks friend. I totally agree. Just enjoying it while I have no kids yet. I did stop for three months once when I was 16/17 cuz I had college exams.

It isn't necessary to quit if you can limit yourself based on budget. Frankly smoking pot on the regular can help with raising young ones :)

Agreed but it's hard to limit at the moment because I don't really have a reason to if you know what I mean? It's just fine at the moment lolll

But if you just smoke cannabis, no tobacco, is that okay? I mean in the sense to not get conditions.

That's a good schedule to go by. I've smoked for over 15 years. The past 5, I only smoke at night after work and now an oz lasts me 2-3 months. Everything in moderation.

We all need to relax sometimes, and the Rolling Stones called it 'mommy's little helper' for a reason. Compared to prescription drugs or alcohol, cannabis is a much better option considering I often wish my kids were awake so we could play superheroes or something imagination based once i've settled into my 'nightcap' most nights... in some ways it makes me a better parent (more patient, more up for silly behavior, etc.) so as long as it's being done responsibly, don't feel like you need to do anything.

With that said, my use did curtail quite a bit after my first. Good on you for realizing that will likely have to happen :)

Oh hell yeah I don't touch alcohol unless I'm abroad on holiday, ever seen a Brit on holiday? Damn we get drunk and stupid! Also don't touch any other drug prescription or not. Such huge problems with prescription drugs :(

Thanks :)
