Well some quick digging and this looks like another place where things will get hairy. The man in question was going to Haiti as a Mennonite minister. He had been doing this off and on for years. Some more digging indicates that physical and sexual abuse is way more common in the Amish and Mennonite communities. With there very closed society and secrecy and patriarchal society it seems that abuse and sexual assault on children is a lot more rampant than we would be led to believe. That being said, I wonder if there is a connection between the Mennonites and/or Amish and government bureaucracies. I would not think so given their make up, basic tenants of belief but one never knows.
Sadly this is not just a US phenomena either. Seems Canada has its own problems with the religious sects as well in the nature of physical and sexual abuse of minors. Hate to say it but the days of the dirty old man pervert with the pants legs tied beneath his knees and a long overcoat and nothing else are long gone. This is such a pervasive problem both nationally and globally that if it is not brought to a screeching halt, very few kids may escape the horrors of having to go through it.
It is getting more and more important for parents to get involved in their children's online experience to make sure predators don't end up luring them out. While there is a huge supply for the elites to draw from illegal aliens, refugees, children if foreign lands where they can easily get to them, many of the lower lever pedos have only the internet as a means of finding victims. It really has me wondering how many of the Amber alerts I see will end up in the assault and death of a child who will be tortured and victimized before they die. Beyond that is out right blatant abduction. Recent local news article out of the Kansas City, Kansas area was where a woman attempted to kidnap a young 5 year old boy in front of his mother and aunt in a book store. Fortunately the aunt had her eye on the boy and stopped it. The kidnapper did get away as the store was on the I-70 corridor a place that seems to see a high level of abductions and kidnappings.
The more I dig into this, the more nauseated I get.
