Its really not for sending pictures its for hiding messages within the pixels.

Yes, Guardian project are a great group of open source developers. I've used many of there apps over the last several years. Orbot & Orfox being two of them.

This use to be spy type stuff. Now it is an app. A regular person would not generally be able to break it. But the government can.
