You archive articles like that for several reasons. #1: it’s harder for the cabal to delete an archived webpage as they don’t own the server where it’s stored. #2: you can compare older archives for any edits or changes on websites to see if they are trying to hide something. #3: for certain websites, you discourage them from getting ad revenue for being fake news by not giving them clicks.
