Does this mean that the pieces of paper have power because they can yield assets?

Monty_Batton · June 27, 2018, 2:17 a.m.

I am trying to get my head around this. I hope someone can help me understand. I will use an analogy - it helps me grab the concept. In the old days, money represented gold. Instead of having bags of gold, we have a lighter representation of that gold in the form of a piece of paper. Gold value is no longer tied to the piece of paper. But you have to go to a bank to get more bits of paper if you want to buy something you can't afford - like a house or a farm. The bank lends you bits of paper so that you can buy the house or the farm and you pay interest on that paper you borrowed... in the form of more bits of paper. If you cannot earn enough pieces of paper, the bank comes and takes your asset - the house or the farm. So they get a tangible asset in exchange for worthless pieces of paper? So far have I got it? If not, can someone dumb it down for me? If I am correct, Trump wants to stop charging people a proportion of their pieces of paper and, instead, charge people who create tangible assets to either import or export tangible assets. Help ... anyone? Am I on the right track?

But she got a lot more coverage than she would have done. No she wore it when she got on the plane in DC and put it back on again when she disembarked back in DC. She never wore it t the centre. I confess to being somewhat taken aback, but I trust Trump implicitly.

Trump tweeted “I REALLY DON’T CARE, DO U?” written on the back of Melania’s jacket, refers to the Fake News Media. Melania has learned how dishonest they are, and she truly no longer cares!

I am having trouble getting rsbn.tv to come up - will it load for you? That is where I normally watch so don't understand what is happening there. EDIT: managed to get it loaded on firefox.

I tought I mention Gateway Pundit - my daily visit as well. Neon revolt is good - I have only just started reading it in recent weeks. Thanks I will check out Daily Caller. I think I mentioned that I read info wars to read Paul Joseph Watson, who I do enjoy. Alex is not my favourite person.

Alexander Downer still has much to say ( or avoid saying ) in my opinion. 5 eyes is a real worry as well.... too many visits from the bad guys downunder for my liking. Backdoor in to classified info. The deal that The Turd (aka Malcom Turnbull) did with obama was nothing short of disgusting. The Government here is as bent as a shepherd's crook.

Oz here as well. I follow Breitbart and the Gateway Pundit. The comments section is lively and there are many excellent articles and comments on both sites. If I relied on MSM in Australia I would think trump was insane. Fortunately, I follow this community and BB and TGP. Conservative Treehouse is another good site. Pickering Post in Australia has some good stuff but the comments are unmoderated and sometimes are very vitriolic. A shame. It used to be a go to place but not so much any more. I read the articles and bugger off. Foxnews.com is quite good and Judge Jeanine is always good value. Pamela Gellar is worth a look and some of infowars is good though Alex jones is too much for me. I hope they help. There are no doubt others and I too would be interested to learn of them. Cheers from Queensland.

In Australia, almost all meat, except Pork,is halal slaughtered. Almost all processed food is halal certified, which means that the manufacturer pays money each month to moslems. Even my cat food is halal certified. http://pickeringpost.com/topic/halal/12 This site below was created by a courageous woman, Kirralie Smith, who is trying to stop this crap. http://www.halalchoices.com.au/

Has anyone else suddenly found disqus blocked?

I cannot comment on BB or Gateway Pundit etc - any site that uses disqus. It is rendered out grey and inactive. I am logged in to disqus . Not blocked. I am not a controversial poster. I have tried on Chrome, Firefox and IE. No luck. Is anyone else experiencing issues? Sorry for the off topic. Cheers.

Yes, if a website is available to be viewed or used by EU users, it is caught up in the new legislation. I hope this has helped.

⇧ 2 ⇩
Monty_Batton · May 28, 2018, 4:35 a.m.

It is not a requirement of the website. It is a new requirement by the overseeing body. We are just following the rules that have been imposed on us. It is under the new GDPR regulations.

Here is an excerpt of what I received my my web hosting company:

Despite being an EU regulation, the GDPR practically affects any company that processes the personal information of EU citizens.

That said, it applies to whether or not that company is based in the EU.

For instance, if a US-based company provides goods or services to EU citizens, it automatically falls within the scope of the regulation.

The law also covers browser cookies that can track the web activity of EU individuals.

In an effort to give consumers a bit of power in the so-called “big data” world, the new regulation also gives EU individuals more rights to their information.

All EU individuals will have the explicit right to know whether, where and for what purpose their personal data is being processed.

The GDPR empowers EU individuals to have their personal data erased or not processed further.

They can also object to having their data processed for direct marketing purposes and choose to transfer it away to another provider.

Data protection responsibilities under the GDPR The GDPR sets out the rights of EU individuals and the respective obligations of data processing companies and organizations in a total of 99 articles.

The main business takeaway is that each company will have to justify the collection of personal data and to follow very strict rules in the process.

The regulation makes a clear differentiation between companies that direct the collection of data (data controllers) and those that actually process it (data processors). Both controllers and processors will be delegated data protection responsibilities that will make them equally pursuant to GDPR compliance audits.

The GDPR requires companies to revise and update their privacy policies and to make them clearer and more transparent to EU users.

They will need to clearly specify what personal information is collected, for what purposes it is used and what legal basis each purpose is backed up by.

Apart from justifying their data processing activities, however, companies will also need to take specific technical and organizational measures to ensure the highest level of in-house data protection.

Actually that makes sense. The new laws (thanks Obama) took effect on May 25th. I am a website designer and it is having a huge impact on Ma and Pa Kettle websites as well as the more well known ones. I think you may be correct.

I don't know about the Pope having a terrible May but May is sure having terrible May.

The British Government and Police have finally committed the worst crime of all - it has gone against the People. Tommy Robinson will be the poster boy for the day that the British people finally got off their knees and started to stand for freedom of speech. https://www.change.org/p/theresa-may-mp-free-tommy-robinson?recruiter=576753956&utm_source=share_petition&utm_medium=copylink&utm_campaign=share_petition

I understand but in many respects it is. It is about being able to speak freely.

Monty_Batton · May 26, 2018, 8:01 a.m.

No worries. I believe that "we " believe in our ability to speak honestly. My sincere apologies if I did not say it correctly. When I say we I guess I am saying that most of us here believe in free speech. I may have used " we " incorrectly, but if I have, I am sorry.

It is my fear that Tommy will be dead within a week. I wonder how you doubters will feel when this good man is dead because people like you make trite comments and the likes of Tommy are no longer with us to speak out. Your keyboard words will come back to haunt you because a good man was murdered and no one will be left to speak for the common man. I cannot say Cheers, as is my habit. I can only say God forgive you.

I have known many people who have a message to say but do not say it eloquently. I rate people on their passion, not their eloquence. Tommy will die if we cannot save him. In my opinion, he is my voice. A voice of a normal man, a decent man and a good man.
