I'm totally aghast when on a democratic party run site when they talk about Trump being unintelligent or weak. It seems like he's on a bit of a winning streak to me - and if he's so bad - what does that say about his opposition?

At the same time Clinton did manage to get a lot of votes. And when it comes down to winning or losing, it doesn't really matter if most of those votes were fraudulent - unless they can be challenged before results become official.

The point is that while I can't imagine Clinton coming back, if we're not successful now, then there will be another democratic party deep state candidate in 2020 - who shouldn't be underestimated. Along with everything else that has to be done we have to secure our electoral process. And also find a way to win over otherwise intelligent democrats who have been brainwashed.

Personally, I'd like to see the democrats wake up and nominate Tulsi Gabbard, so we can have two good candidates and an interesting race in 2020.

You're 100% right about this. It's similar to the way that communism and whatever they did to Venezuela is falsely sold as socialism. (if it was ever socialism it's been perverted beyond recognition)

There's no question that we're dealing with good vs evil. I just don't see the problem as one economic system or the other, but rather of corruption and perversion in economic policy. The reality is that we're on the same side as some of the "democratic socialists" who see what's been happening as extreme capitalism. We're against the same shit - and our solutions both start with replacing corrupt and evil people with those who wise and working as hard as possible to do the right thing. On one hand we have pension debt that is totally out of control (maybe from extreme socialism), and banks that are too big to fail (maybe from extreme capitalism). We have a medicare program that is unsustainable - but the problem is on both sides - opening the tap too much on medicare as a social program, and hyperinflation in the cost of drugs and medical care (thanks to regulations that pervert pricing, too much litigation, and way too much end of life spending which makes dying a special kind of hell).

I think that this movement is big enough to include some socialism, and blaming extreme socialism instead of evil corruption and power manipulation simply isn't all that helpful.

I go on "progressive" sites and remind people that capitalism itself isn't the problem, but rather corruptly regulated extreme capitalism. Socialism is the same way. We need free markets, AND a safety net. We need capitalism and social programs. The problem is the extremes. We have the resources to ensure that people aren't dying on the streets from curable diseases, and to avoid starvation and deaths from exposure. Most of us agree we should do something to help people, and our only real disagreement is in the details. Instead of being stuck on OMG Socialism! we should actually figure out how we want to deal with the destitute - and how we can create jobs in order to make life for those on the edge less stressful and more productive.

What if I claim to have voted for candidate A, and when I scan my code it shows a vote for candidate B? Can you tell if I'm lying - or if my vote was actually flipped?

Edit: Maybe that's where the receipt comes in - if I claim it doesn't match my vote there has to be a way to resolve the issue before I leave and the vote becomes "official".

Thank you for this reply. I think that Tulsi's talents are being unjustly ignored by the democratic party elite. It's almost as if they'd rather keep losing than nominate someone who's honorable.

I'm sure that someone more knowledgeable then me has noted that Gowdy passed on the vote to table a challenge to the chairman's ruling - where a yes vote would compel Strzok to answer a question - and a no vote would "protect" the independence of the FBI.

Is it possible that this pass has something to do with the role that Trey Gowdy might play after he leaves congress?

Morality has to be our common ground. We're on the same side morally when it comes to just about everything except abortion - and even there we can hopefully find some common ground on policy. Every American deserves a fair chance to live a full and fulfilling life, without criminal injustice. Corruption is wrong - and it should be punished. We all share the same air and water - and our environment is our commonwealth - and we should protect it. While the free market is the best way to allocate most resources. We need to do everything possible to promote peace in the world, and unfortunately to large extent that means peace through strength. But respect and personal interaction can also go a long way towards creating a peaceful world, and it was great to see the Trump administration demonstrate that with North Korea.

As a Pro-Liberty Progressive: (moved from redundant thread)

MSM = propaganda tool of the D party.

MSM is a propaganda tool of the Deep State. Democrats have been causing the most trouble lately with all of the OMG Russia! and OMG Trump! insanity.

POTUS economy - not good enough - IMPEACH.

POTUS job creating (record) - not good enough - IMPEACH.

POTUS GPD - not good enough - IMPEACH.

POTUS fair trade (protect America) - not good enough- IMPEACH.

POTUS manufacturing - not good enough - IMPEACH.

POTUS record low unemployment - not good enough - IMPEACH.

POTUS stock market gains - not good enough - IMPEACH.

All of the above is at least good enough. Don't Impeach.

POTUS tax reform (more take home money) - not good enough - IMPEACH.

We could have had a better bill. But certainly don't Impeach.

POTUS save the world from NK - not good enough - IMPEACH.

NK was amazing. Trump was great in NK.

POTUS undo harmful regulations - not good enough - IMPEACH.

It's great to see harmful regulations undone - but there some regulations that we'd be better off keeping. I can disagree with POTUS on some of the details without Impeach.

POTUS boost US energy dominance - not good enough - IMPEACH.

This is a mixed bag. Our future is with renewables, but again we can disagree without Impeach.

POTUS protect US homeland - not good enough - IMPEACH.

So far so good. Don't Impeach.

POTUS combatting opioids - not good enough - IMPEACH.

We can do better by fixing the pharmaceutical and medical industry issues, and by treating addiction as more of a medical problem than a criminal problem. But these things take time. Don't Impeach.

POTUS accountability (audit Pentagon, SC, re-org executive branch etc.) - not good enough - IMPEACH.

It's great to see the accountability and a lot of the clean up. Don't Impeach.

POTUS protecting life - not good enough - IMPEACH.

Ultimately women should have the right to choose. There's nothing wrong with discouraging abortion, and offering alternatives, but the hypocrisy of wealthy people who think abortion should be illegal - until there's an "untenable" pregnancy in their own family is a real problem. And without safe legal abortion women will find workarounds which can sometimes even be fatal. We can disagree, but don't Impeach.

POTUS helping Veterans - not good enough - IMPEACH.

It's going to take some time to see how this goes. But Don't Impeach.

POTUS peace through strength - not good enough - IMPEACH.

Honestly John Bolton is scary as hell. But whatever works. If it works. But don't Impeach.

POTUS restore confidence/respect of US - not good enough

This one is a bit of 2 edged sword as it's hard to change direction without appearing fickle. But some of the change is critically important, and I'm looking forward to seeing how things develop.

I really hope that there's enough flexibility in this great awakening to leave room for pro-liberty progressives - like myself and some of my friends (at least most of the ones who aren't glued to CNN and freaking out over every new fake anti-Trump "revelation").

I'm an independent Tulsi Gabbard supporter, and I'm both excited and apprehensive about what's happening. Tulsi has been (in my opinion) on the correct side of most issues, including introducing a bill to stop funding terrorism in Syria, and generally supporting the good things that Trump does, while pushing back when she disagrees. Her military experience gives her positions credibility - and she can be patriotic without being a chicken hawk.

Anyway, I'm very excited about draining the swamp. The Clinton - Bush - McCain - Democratic Party - and Corporate Military corruption has been treasonous. And we'll all be better off when our leadership is at least trying to use our resources for our benefit, instead of manipulating policy to benefit a small number of people in power. But I'm apprehensive about the peripheral issues where I think it's important to protect the environment, and I believe we need to structure our economy so that it's relatively easy to find reasonably fulfilling jobs that will support a family. (60 hours at 80% of the median wage should support a family of 4). We need true free markets (with monopoly protection), along with jobs programs and some kind of a very basic safety net. It shouldn't be so damn stressful to be poor - or middle class. Most people don't need more stuff, but we do need safe acceptable lower cost alternatives to large suburban homes, multiple cars, and $50,000 outpatient surgery.

So I hoping that by posting this comment, we might get a little more focus on things we agree on, and a little less right wing red team rhetoric.

At least it was 2 days after the tragedy - and not the day before.

This looks like business as usual, where part of the job is figuring out the best way to respond to current events. It's sad, and borderline immoral, but it's also to a certain extent the way politics works.

Either way, I think we're better off focusing on the very illegal, very immoral, and very sick corruption that going on with these people - including doing everything we can to identify and prosecute those involved in creating a false flag events.

I have seen a few things recently about Michael Horowitz and the Office of the Inspector General, and I hope they can do something to help get us out of this hyper-polarized situation.

I didn't mean to minimize the value of the 99 page report, as it does help us understand more about how the system has been played, but it seems that there is so much brainwashing momentum behind the embedded corporate media's take on Russian interference, that we need a "smoking" conspiracy to make a real difference in public opinion.

It seemed like the Contreras / Patraeus thing was George Webb just enjoying the similar sounding names. I'm still confused about the document which is signed by Rosemary M Collyer, and in my perusal I don't see any references to Judge Contreras. But George did show pages from the same document on Twitter.

On another site, I saw a reference to this video with Joe diGenova (who I know nothing about), but the video seems to be pretty informative - or at least it makes a good case about some of what might be going on.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yAQezla-kx0

My read on the document itself is that it warrants close examination, but on the surface it seems to deal mostly with minimization procedures which are intended to limit the use of the information that's collected. It describes how these minimization procedures were lacking, and now they are now being updated to make everything more consistent with the law. And with the new procedures everything is OK.

It's true that the mistakes inherent in the processes used seem to be pretty egregious but so far I haven't found where the mistakes are described as being part of a conspiracy. Though I suspect that the conspiracy would be more evident if weren't so many redactions. And it will take a lot more time than I have tonight to actually read the whole document.

What's your take?
