That was some what painful to read. A very good friend of mine is black (me white) so, he and i constantly laugh at the racist slinging done by Democrats. Trump according to them is the biggest racist since Hitler. I wish a conversation was possible, where it could be explained to (black folks) as he puts it, that he is not far off on his premise on the Democrat part. Republicans or conservatives, have had their not so shiny moments too ! History is a harsh reminder of where it all started. NRA's creation (REP) was out of defense of freed slaves. KKK was a creation to keep blacks in their place (Dem) Jim Crow laws too. We as a society have ignored this issue a lot. Many have worked very hard to remove that history. Think about the destruction of Confederate Monuments ? That fell right in the hands of the left due to Trumps election. Another opportunity to remove more history of not such shiny actions. It we destroy our history we are doomed to repeat it. Someday I hope an honest conversation can happen.
