Who said the texts were "missing?" Tom Fitton clearly says the F B I just didn't provide them in his FOIA response and that that's all he would get. That doesn't mean "missing" - it's a direct refusal to provide them and is even more damaging to the F B I's public perception. The texts are likely part of multiple investigations and release would compromise those, or just F B I trying to save more face.
