Digital Forensic Analysis Shows Dominion’s Server Connected to Iran and China: Affidavit

 

A digital forensic analysis by a former military intelligence analyst whose name was redacted in an affidavit accompanying attorney Sidney Powell’s lawsuit against Michigan officials, claims to present “unambiguous evidence” that Dominion Voter Systems servers were accessible to and were “certainly compromised by rogue actors, such as Iran and China.”

 

Powell’s complaint, filed on Nov. 25 against Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, and the Michigan Board of State Canvassers, cites the affidavit (pdf) as authored by a former electronic intelligence analyst under 305th Military Intelligence and purporting to show that “the Dominion software was accessed by agents acting on behalf of China and Iran in order to monitor and manipulate elections, including the most recent US general election in 2020.”

 

A separate complaint (pdf) in Georgia, expands on the assertion, claiming that, “by using servers and employees connected with rogue actors and hostile foreign influences combined with numerous easily discoverable leaked credentials, Dominion neglectfully allowed foreign adversaries to access data and intentionally provided access to their infrastructure in order to monitor and manipulate elections, including the most recent one in 2020.”

 

The analyst, who claimed to have “extensive experience as a white hat hacker used by some of the top election specialists in the world,” said that they scanned Dominion network nodes and found a number of interrelationships with foreign entities, including access to Dominion’s server by a network from Hunan, China. Another forensic review confirmed links to an Iranian IP address, the analyst wrote, and concluded that the totality of “these scanning behaviors showed that foreign agents of aggressor nations had access to US voter lists, and had done so recently.”

 

The analyst said the findings represent a “complete failure” on the part of Dominion to provide “basic cyber security.”

“This is not a technological issue, but rather a governance and basic security issue: if it is not corrected, future elections in the United States and beyond will not be secure and citizens will not have confidence in the results,” the analyst concluded.

Venezuelan court jails six former Citgo executives for corruption

 

A Venezuelan court sentenced six former executives of U.S. refiner Citgo to prison after finding them guilty of corruption charges on Thursday.

 

The officials were arrested in November 2017 after being called into a meeting at the Caracas office of state oil company PDVSA, which owns Citgo. They were accused of crimes such as embezzlement, money laundering and conspiracy.

 

The former president of the company, Jose Pereira, was fined $2 million and sentenced to 13 years and seven months while the five others, former Citgo vice presidents Jose Luis Zambrano, Alirio Jose Zambrano, Jorge Toledo, Tomeu Vadell and Gustavo Cardenas, were sentenced to more than eight years.

China's first homegrown reactor ready to take on Western players

 

China brought online Friday what it claims to be its first nuclear reactor built with homegrown technology, a state-owned plant operator said, marking a significant step toward turning the country into a major industry player. The Hualong One, developed by China National Nuclear Corp. and China General Nuclear Power based on U.S. and French designs, is now undergoing a trial run. The third-generation pressurized water nuclear unit will soon start commercial operations as the fifth reactor at Fujian Province's Fuqing Nuclear Power Plant.

 

With two layers of containment, the Hualong One is one of the safest nuclear reactors worldwide, according to CNNC. The company said the project has turned China into an advanced player in nuclear power, ending the monopoly other countries have had on the technology.

 

Chinese President Xi Jinping considers nuclear power a top priority under "Made in China 2025," an initiative to bolster high-tech industries. The latest unit is positioned as a challenger to the Westinghouse-developed AP1000 and Europe's EPR. China's nuclear power industry is said to now have a self-sufficiency rate of over 85%, with roughly 5,000 companies including 58 state-owned enterprises in the supply chain. Roughly 50 nuclear reactors with a combined generation capacity of 50,000 megawatts are currently operating in China, local media report. Another seven or so units of the Hualong One are being built, and another four have been approved for construction.

 

Nuclear power is a crucial piece to China's Belt and Road infrastructure-building initiative. A Hualong One reactor is nearing completion in Pakistan, and the design is also pending export approval from British and Argentinian authorities.

GM plans to seek banking charter for auto-lending business

 

General Motors Co is planning to apply for a banking charter that would allow its lending unit to hold deposits and expand its auto-finance business, the Wall Street Journal reported on Friday, citing people familiar with the matter.

 

The automaker's finance arm, General Motors Financial Company Inc, has been talking to federal and state banking regulators for months about forming an industrial loan company and could file its applications as early as December, the report said here. “Industrial Loan Company” charters allow non-banks to originate loans and collect insured deposits.

The researchers found that the criteria most associated with a high death rate was life expectancy, though higher COVID death rates were also observed in certain geographic regions.

 

Many US states and countries around the world are imposing another round of economic lockdowns in an effort to combat the coronavirus.

 

The actions are certain to come with a series of devastating unintended consequences — economic destruction, surging poverty, and mental health deterioration among them — but a new study suggests the lockdowns may not do what they are designed to do: save lives.

 

A new study published by Frontiers in Public Health concluded that neither lockdowns nor lockdown stringency were correlated with lower death rates.

 

Researchers analyzed data from 160 countries over the first 8 months of the pandemic, testing several factors — including demographics, public health, economy, politics, and environment — to determine how they are correlated with COVID-19 mortality.

 

“Stringency of the measures settled to fight pandemia, including lockdown, did not appear to be linked with death rate,” the researchers said.

China snaps up Japanese scientists, sparking fears of technology outflow

 

For Japanese scientists, China's attraction as an ideal place to pursue scientific research seems to only get stronger.

 

The trend is gathering steam as the Chinese government proactively invites top-caliber scholars from around the world. Japanese academics, meanwhile, often experience difficulty in finding posts at domestic universities and other institutions, underscoring an urgent need to improve how scholars, especially young ones, are treated in order to apply the brakes to an exodus of critical talent. "I wanted to work in Japan but found no post," said Toru Takahata, who researches primate brains at China's Zhejiang University. Takahata, 43, earned his doctorate from Japan's Graduate University for Advanced Studies in 2005 and began his research career as a postdoctoral fellow at Vanderbilt University in the U.S. in 2008. He sought a position in Japan starting around 2013 but to no avail.

 

He then looked abroad and landed a place at Zhejiang University in 2014. Research environments are favorable at the school, where Takahata has his own laboratory at a newly built institute. In addition to compensation, he has received the equivalent of 50 million yen ($478,652) for five years of research activity with no restrictions. Although research achievement requirements are tough, "compensation to scholars for successful results is overwhelmingly higher than in Japan," Takahata said. China has been attracting veteran Japanese academics as well.

 

Toshitaka Kajino, 64, professor at the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan, in October 2016 became the first director of the International Research Center for Big-Bang Cosmology and Element Genesis at the Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. Known as an authority in theoretical physics, Kajino accepted an ardent invitation from the Chinese government that offered annual compensation higher than that for other professors working in China.

 

Simultaneously retaining his position in Japan, Kajino conducts half of his research work in China. "Teaching Chinese students is worthwhile as they are highly motivated," he said. The number of Japanese scholars working in China has steadily increased. Some 8,000 of them were in China as of October 2017, Japan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said. The number of Japanese academics who stayed in China for less than a month in fiscal year 2018 came to 18,460, up about 25% from fiscal 2014 and marking an increase for the fourth consecutive year, according to Japan's Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.

 

By country, China has the second-largest number of Japanese scholars. But the number of Japanese academics in the U.S. and South Korea, ranked first and third, respectively, has decreased. The increasing presence of academics from Japan in China has drawn attention as Japanese media recently reported that China's "Thousand Talents Plan," under which it recruits leading international experts in scientific research to harness their technological prowess, poses a national security threat to the country. And in the spring of 2016, Kajino was put on the plan's list of desired scholars.

 

There is no doubt that China is actively recruiting scholars. According to the Australian Strategic Policy Institute, China has more than 600 "overseas talent-recruitment workstations," including 46 in Japan. These are often run by groups sympathetic to Beijing, around the world. In many cases, scholars are officially invited to Chinese universities to work after relations are established with them during business or other short-term visits to China, said Miho Funamori, an associate professor at the National Institute of Informatics.

 

Experts point out that Japanese academics seek research bases in China despite the risk of technology outflow because of poor working conditions in Japan. "It seems that talented scholars who are struggling to secure research funds or suffering from the shortage of posts often receive offers from China," said Eisuke Enoki, a Japanese specialist familiar with the Chinese recruitment of talent. China set aside the equivalent of 28 trillion yen for its science and technology budget in fiscal 2018, compared with Japan's 3.8 trillion yen. Scholars below the age of 40 accounted for 23.4% of faculty at Japanese universities, the lowest on record, in 2016, testifying to the difficulty of younger people securing teaching and research positions.

 

The number of doctorate holders has continued to decrease in Japan. However, Takahata said, "The degree is highly popular in China as it guarantees high positions and pay."

The first hearing, held by the Pennsylvania State Senate, will be conducted tomorrow, Wednesday, November 25th, in Gettysburg, PA, where each participating Senator will give a five-minute opening statement followed by testimony from witnesses who have filed affidavits attesting to 2020 election fraud. Tomorrow’s hearing will also feature a presentation from former New York City Mayor and Personal Attorney to President Trump, Rudy Giuliani.

 

On Monday, November 30th, the Arizona legislature will hold their own hearing, followed by the Michigan legislature holding their own hearing on Tuesday, December 1st. Details for both hearings to follow.

I just walked all over Target Best buy and Michaels with no mask on and nobody said anything to me but that's not surprising I think they Know what they will get just by looking at me. Everyone in all stores were 100 percent masked even outdoors 95 percent. I kept my anger under control just did what I needed to do and looked every single person in the eyes see what they got to say. Nobody said nothing. Well, so I have been stuck in St Louis. Amtrak conductor kicked me off train last night after we had words prior to me being on the train. Asked for his name before i got on the train, then boarded. He sought me out on the train and told me he was kicking me off next stop cause i wasnt “wearing my mask properly”.. it was on, not covering nose. I cant tell you how fucking livid i was yesterday/last night.

 

I called customer support and after talking to 2 diff people, was sent into a customer survey.. i am 300+ miles away from home and a “didnt do nuffin” has ability to fuck w me so does.

 

Contact Amtrak on Twatter, initially they responded, then nothing.

 

Left them a detailed message last night, woke to find them creating an incident report and giving me a number to escalate the situation. I want the guys job. Why? Because he fucked up an entire situation, effected 3 different sets of people, the friend of mine in STL that ultimately came and picked me up.. myself and the business i came here to take care of.

 

As an American, right now, you can be treated w/o the basic fundamental rights we have as Americans (freedom of speech or basic human rights) if “traveling or being in or at a “private business”.

 

We have to re-establish our basic human rights. That these rights remain whether we are at McDonald or other.

 

I am a “classic” anarchist in that I believe “dont fuck w me, cause I am not fucking w (You)”. Leave me alone. Realize I am not here to do bad, I am here to take care of me and mine and will do so w/o trying to fuck w anyone else and I expect the same level of respect back.
