This a terrible admission, but i did breathe a sign of relief to seee dat GOLDEN RETRIEVER here.

only went to bed around 3. Woke up 15 minutes ago suddenly from very short nightmare. Realer than real. Went down the stairs at my house to find that the entire door of my house was gone - there was no exist. Someone had put a brand new wall where the door used to be. The shock and terror were great, i called out "Lord Archangel Michael over and over," and woke up out of a deep sleep. Probably not REM, something else.

first dream was about a fire coming and fireman riding thru the air like Paul Revere

second dream was about getting a ticket that would take me anywhere with DonaldTrump written all over it

third dream - this one.

This from someone who seldom message dreams. But we here are. Up because can't go back to sleep for a while.

Blessings up this board and all who post upon it.

Kids learning the power of affidavits...

Students Suspended on Mask Mandate Attempt to Serve Affidavits to Loudoun County School Board

Updated: February 9, 2022

LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va.—Dozens of suspended students in Loudoun County attempted to serve the school board members a stack of notarized affidavits accusing the board of maladministration at a school board meeting on Feb. 8.

School board chair Jeff Morse asked the students to give the documents to the staff instead of receiving the affidavits. Superintendent Scott Zieger left the board room afterward and didn’t return until the superintendent’s report session after public comment.

An hour later at about 9 p.m., Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) Chief Operations Officer Kevin Lewis accepted the documents without signing to acknowledge receipt. Wayde Byard, the LCPS spokesperson, told The Epoch Times, “The school board always welcomes written public input.” He added that LCPS would examine the papers.

The affidavits signed by Virginia citizens acting “sui juris”—“in their own rights”—by the U.S. Constitution ask the board to stop all critical race theory (CRT) related programs, to end “unconstitutional COVID-19 mandates,” and to provide full disclosure of sexual abuses in the school system.

CRT is a quasi-Marxist analytical framework that views America as systemically racist. LCPS has repeatedly said that CRT isn’t taught in its classrooms and that it presents a standard curriculum designated by the Virginia Department of Education. However, parents say that CRT ideas are embedded in the school policies, teachers’ training, and social emotional learning programs.

Rene Camp, one of the organizers of the effort, told The Epoch Times that the school board has ignored parents’ demands so far. Therefore, this new action aims at forcing a response.

The board will either respond with backup documents or ignore them, equivalent to admitting wrongdoing accused in the affidavits, according to Camp. Each participant signed nine copies of the paper, one copy for superintendent Scott Ziegler and eight copies for all school board members except for John Beatty, the only school board member who voted against keeping the mask mandate before Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s mask-optional executive order took effect on Jan. 24.

Megan Rafalski, leader of the education task force on behalf of various grassroots parent organizations in Loudoun County, told The Epoch Times that they planned for 20 parents joining the effort, but the final count reached 65.

When students handed the papers over to Lewis, Rafalski told him that the parents paid over $1,000 for the 585 copies of affidavits.

On Sunday, when parents gathered to prepare the affidavits, the mood was determined yet heavyhearted. On the previous Friday, the Arlington Circuit Court ruled a temporary injunction for the seven school boards to keep their mask mandate until a final ruling. Loudoun is not among the seven school boards that sued Gov. Youngkin over his mask-optional executive order signed on Jan. 15.

A lot has happened between then and now. On Monday, the Supreme Court of Virginia dismissed a lawsuit by Chesapeake parents who asked the court to halt Youngkin’s mask-optional executive order and restore the mask mandate in their school district. Then on Tuesday, the Democrat-controlled state Senate passed a bill to end mask mandates in Virginia public schools. The bill is expected to pass the Republican-majority state House and soon arrive at Youngkin’s desk.

Muriel Groce, who has two girls currently suspended from Blue Ridge Middle School, arrived early at what would be her first-ever school board meeting. “This is a primary example of how keeping the faith for the long battle just to be victorious and don’t give up hope,” Muriel told The Epoch Times about her feelings after learning of the passing of the state Senate bill.

“I couldn’t be happier about the news about the bill passing in the Senate. And I hope everything will follow through just in line. And we’re just so excited,” she added. “We’ve just had a rough, rough go of it, my kids especially. They have been suspended. Emotionally, the toll is very great.”

Muriel’s 11-year-old daughter Madeline told The Epoch Times, “I just want to go back [to school] without a mask.”

I'm hope the Repubs have a fallout plan to navigate kneepads

Dozens of Republicans again call for Joe Biden to take cognitive test

February 9, 2022

Dozens of Republican lawmakers are once again calling for President Biden to take a cognitive test, urging him to “follow the example set by former President Trump.”

The 38 Republicans, led by Trump’s former White House doctor, Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-Md.), sent a letter to the president on Tuesday “express[ing] concern with your current cognitive state” and asking the 79-year-old to take the test.

"We believe that, regardless of gender, age, or political party, all Presidents should follow the example set by former President [Donald] Trump to document and demonstrate sound mental abilities,” they wrote.

“While you underwent your annual physical exam on November 19, 2021, you either did not have a cognitive test or those results were withheld from the public. White House Physician Kevin O’Connor, D.O., attested to you being ‘fit to successfully execute the duties of the Presidency’ in a purely physical manner; however, we are worried about your cognitive and mental abilities.”

The lawmakers pointed to a similar request sent to the White House last June.

“The American people should have absolute confidence in their President,” the letter read in part.

“They deserve to know that he or she can perform the duties of Head of State and Commander in Chief. They deserve full transparency on the mental capabilities of their highest elected leader.”

The Republicans’ recent letter cited several instances of what they categorized as “mental decline,” including when Biden recently called Fox News reporter Peter Doocy a “stupid son of a b—h” and when he forgot the names of states on the campaign trail.

“This is not just a recent trend, as your mental decline and forgetfulness have become more apparent over the past two years,” they wrote.

“This is not an unprecedented request. Starting in 2018, political opponents and members of the media clamored for your predecessor, then-President Trump, to take a cognitive test. In response, the White House Physician conducted a Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MOCA) for President Trump, at which he excelled,” the letter reads.

The GOP lawmakers also noted that the president’s mental health is “not a partisan issue,” pointing to previous comments from Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) that “it’s not hard to think that there will be future situations where the President’s physical and mental state may create issues for us.”

“We agree with these statements. As such, we encourage you to follow the example set by President Trump, by undergoing a cognitive test as soon as possible and immediately making the results available for the American people,” they concluded.

In an email to Fox News Digital, Jackson said the cognitive test will reassure Americans that Biden is fit for office or will help “in identifying and properly treating symptoms of impairment that are consistent with a variety of cognitive diseases, such as Alzheimer’s, vascular dementia, Parkinson’s, or multiple sclerosis.”

Jackson went on to claim, “We can only assume the worst if he doesn’t submit to the same standard that his own party demanded of the last Administration.”

In November, the president underwent a physical examination and colonoscopy. At the time, his physician, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, said Biden is “fit to successfully execute the duties of the Presidency.” O’Connor did not specify whether the president underwent a cognitive exam.

The Republican request comes at the start of Biden’s second year in office. His first year was marred by plummeting poll numbers, as many Americans appeared to lose confidence in his performance as president as the administration attempted to grapple with crisis after crisis.

In November, a Politico/Morning Consult poll published Wednesday found that 50 percent of registered voters disagreed with the statement “Joe Biden is in good health,” while 40 percent agreed and 10 percent did not know or had no opinion.

The White House has repeatedly defended Biden and his health. He remains the oldest person to serve as president.

During his first press conference of the year last month, Biden shrugged off concerns about his health and mental wellbeing, telling reporters he had “no idea” why Americans would have such concerns.

The White House did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.

What I’ve Learned: Garland Favorito, election integrity activist

June 22, 2021

When it comes to keeping Georgia’s election process honest, Garland Favorito is one of the toughest advocates and critics.

Favorito has been rattling the nerves of many Georgia political elites for 15 years while testing the mettle of the state’s election system.

The retired information technology professional is co-founder of VoterGA, a nonpartisan election integrity nonprofit with thousands of social media followers. Politically, he is independent.

Atlanta Civic Circle caught up with the Roswell resident who is the lead plaintiff in a lawsuit challenging the authenticity of 147,000 absentee ballots cast in Fulton County during last year’s presidential election.

Here’s what Favorito had to say. This transcript has been edited for clarity and brevity.

Q. You are one of the people who filed a lawsuit to have the absentee ballots audited. Why?

A. Well, yeah. Inspected. It’s not a full audit. There was evidence of potential counterfeit ballots. We want to inspect those to see if the evidence and sworn affidavits… are in fact correct.

Q. Where did the evidence come from? Did someone tell you? Did they actually see it?

A. There are four sworn affidavits from senior Fulton County poll managers who claimed they handled counterfeit ballots in the audit that occurred on November 14 and 15.

Q. How many did they handle or actually see?

A. We couldn’t tell how many there were because the audit monitors weren’t allowed to get within six feet of a table so that they could detect the counterfeit ballot. What they described was that there were mail-in ballots that hadn’t been folded from being mailed. They were not marked with a writing instrument but they were marked by a machine and they have different paper stock. And they were marked the same way all of the down-ballot races (were marked).

Q. So what is that indicating to you?

A. That there are potentially counterfeit ballots. They’re not real.

Q. A Henry County judge who is hearing the case said this week he’s going to need more time to review the evidence. What’s your understanding of Monday’s hearing?

A. Yeah, there are a lot of complicated motions. He’s going to need time to sort all of those out.

Q. Do you expect his ruling to come this week?

A. I don’t think so. It’ll probably be a week or two.

Q. You’re one of nine people who filed the lawsuit in this case. What is the lawsuit alleging?

A. It’s alleging counterfeit ballots were in the count. Therefore, somebody injected them. We want to prevent that from happening.

Q.The lawsuit also alleges that it violated your constitutional rights. How so?

A. If somebody puts counterfeit ballots into the count, then it dilutes your vote. So it’s an equal protection violation and it’s also due process violation. It’s illegal.

Q. How does this impact our democracy?

A. Somebody injected counterfeit ballots into the count. It subverts democracy.

Q. Georgia is not the only state contesting ballots. There’s tension in Arizona right now over its ballot recount and there are various other cases throughout the country. What does this tell you on a broader, macro scale?

A. I’m glad there’s concern. People want to make sure that votes are counted correctly. So that’s good. But we don’t know until we see what the findings are. We don’t know now what it really is.

Q. How did your organization, VoterGA, get started?

A. We were created about 15 years ago to bring the lawsuit against the old electronic voting machines. We believe that they were unconstitutional because you couldn’t verify, audit or recount the results. They were very corrupt machines. They never should have been purchased in Georgia. They were purchased in 2002. They weren’t taken out of service until 2019.

Q. What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned in your years as an elections integrity activist?

A. What I’ve learned is that the corruption is deeper than I had ever imagined.

Q. Tell me a little bit more about that. Are you saying that the corruption is bipartisan? Or is it one party over another? Or is it just built into the system?

A. That’s a great point. You have the Democrats in Fulton County and the Republicans in the Secretary of State’s office and you can’t trust either one of them. Yeah, it’s definitely bipartisan corruption at that.

What I’ve Learned: Garland Favorito, election integrity activist

Q. Your organization is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization. So you’re not necessarily looking at any particular side or pushing one side over another. It sounds like your interest is getting at the truth or the integrity of the process.

A. We’ve been on both sides of the spectrum. Last time we were helping the progressives. This time, it appears that the former president got cheated. But we spent years trying to help the progressives because they thought they were cheated by the Republican establishment. Yeah, it’s really been on both sides. Election integrity really has to be nonpartisan.

Q. What has surprised you the most in your years as an election integrity activist?

A. The depth of corruption.

Q. Politicians and the media have repeatedly said there has been no real demonstrative evidence there was fraud in connection with last year’s election. Does that make you cringe when you hear that?

A.Yes, because I know they’re lying.

Q. Do you feel your 15 years as an election integrity activist has been worth it?

A.Yeah, I think so because it’s really come together in the last few years. It’s really kind of peaked in the last couple of years. I think the last couple of years have made the first 10 or 12 years worthwhile. For many years, we felt that people weren’t listening to us. We had the evidence and the facts but people weren’t listening. Now people are starting to listen, and they’re realizing that the news media hasn’t been telling us the truth. And the Secretary of State’s office hasn’t been telling us the truth. So people now are waking up and they’re understanding. They want election integrity, and they want election transparency like they’ve never wanted it before.

Garland Favorito: “Yes, There Is a Coverup in the Election in the State of Georgia and Yes the Secretary of State, We Believe, Is Behind It”

January 20, 2022

According to Garland at least 100,000 Georgia ballots lack the adequate chain of custody documents from the 2020 election. The number is likely much larger than this. Garland Favorito told The Gateway Pundit his investigation corroborates the True the Vote ballot box fraud investigation in the state of Georgia. Garland told us they still have no idea how many ballots came from drop boxes in 202o. That number has not been provided by the state! This is absolutely shocking that that number was never released.

This morning during the press conference Garland Favorito spoke out against the Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger.

Garland Favorito: “This is a systematic coverup by the Secretary of State. He’s been doing this ever since the election… So ‘yes’ there is a coverup in the state of Georgia and ‘yes’ the Secretary of State is behind it.”

Pemex Says Baker Hughes Contracts Due to Growth, Not AMLO’s Son

The top executive at Mexico’s Petroleos Mexicanos says a growing volume of business with a U.S. oilfield-services provider at the heart of an alleged scandal involving the president’s son is simply due to rising production.

According to Pemex Chief Executive Officer Octavio Romero Oropeza, Baker Hughes Co. received 8.9 billion pesos (about $434 million) from the Mexican state-owned petroleum company for its oil services last year, up from 6.5 billion pesos the previous year.

“Baker Hughes is located in fifth place among the 25 companies that bill Pemex the most,” Romero said at a press briefing on Wednesday. “The amounts invoiced to these companies have generally increased in recent years. This is explained by the fact that in this administration, Petroleos Mexicanos has not stopped investing, even during the most complicated years.”

The comments follow President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador’s statements that the contracts had nothing to do with his son’s rental of a Houston-area property from a former Baker Hughes executive.

A recent article by non-profit civil association Mexicans Against Corruption and news outlet Latinus said that Jose Ramon Lopez Beltran, the president’s 40-year-old son, has lived in recent years in two homes in Texas, each worth nearly $1 million. The first property where he lived belonged to Keith Schilling, who worked for Baker Hughes between 2016 and 2019. Lopez Obrador, widely known as AMLO, has responded to the report by denying any conflict of interest.

Romero also said Pemex’s output was 1.76 million barrels a day in January, about 0.5% higher than its crude oil and condensate output in December.

Houston Executive Says He Didn’t Know His Tenant Was AMLO’s Son

A former Baker Hughes Co. executive cited in a scandal in Mexico for leasing out his Houston home to the eldest son of President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador said he had no prior knowledge of who the renter was.

Keith Schilling, who worked for Baker Hughes between 2016 and 2019, spoke publicly for the first time on his involvement, commenting in an emailed statement to Bloomberg News. His home was vacant and available for rent after Schilling moved out to run the oil-service giant’s Canada business, he said.

Global commodity prices soar 50%, fastest pace in 27 years

Prices for crude oil, metals, grains and other internationally traded commodities are climbing at the fastest rate since 1995, raising fears of political instability in countries highly dependent on imports as seen in Turkey. Commodity markets are being squeezed from two directions. On one hand, demand is booming as economies recover from the coronavirus pandemic. On the other hand, sufficient supplies to meet this demand are being hampered by geopolitical factors. The Refinitiv CoreCommodity CRB Index, a composite measure of commodity prices, was up 46% on the year at the end of January. That was the largest one-year increase since 1995, when comparable data became available. A broad swathe of commodity prices are on the rise, especially crude oil and other fuels. Among 22 major commodities, nine rose more than 50%, including prices for familiar commodities, such as coffee, which climbed 91%, and cotton, up 58%. Aluminum rose 53%.

While demand for crude oil has soared, investment in supply has been held back by the move to decarbonize economies. Natural gas prices have been pushed up by growing tensions between Russia and Ukraine. Meanwhile, disruptions to supply chains and labor shortages have exacerbated pressure on the balance between supply and demand. The commodity squeeze has triggered a series of chain reactions in the market. Aluminum smelters, which use huge amounts of electricity, have been forced to cut back on output as production costs rise, creating shortages of the metal. Soaring natural gas prices have driven up the price of ammonia, a major component of fertilizer, which in turn is pushing up grain prices. High commodity prices are weighing on the global economic recovery. If energy prices stay at current levels, the International Monetary Fund estimates global economic growth will be shaved by 0.5 percentage point.

Resource-poor countries are especially challenged by the surge. The cost of Japan's raw material imports in the current fiscal year ending in March is estimated to increase by about 10 trillion yen ($86.7 billion), according to Mizuho Research & Technologies. The U.S. and other countries are rushing to tighten monetary policy in response to inflation, but "it is difficult to rein in inflation triggered by supply shocks with monetary policy," said Hiroshi Ugai, chief economist at JPMorgan Securities Japan. The impact of the commodity surge on political stability is becoming a growing concern. Turkey, which imports 70% of its energy, saw its consumer price index rise 49% on the year in January. Since the beginning of this month, the country has experienced a growing wave of worker demonstrations demanding higher pay and people protesting against soaring energy prices.

Of the world's 143 nations and self-governing regions, 47 relied on imports for more than half their energy needs in 2019, according to the International Energy Agency. Central Asia's Kazakhstan was roiled by violent demonstrations protesting higher liquefied petroleum gas prices at the beginning of this year. The commodity surge is also making food more expensive. In Thailand, pork prices climbed around 50% in the three months through January. The price of pork, the most consumed meat in the nation, was pushed up by higher prices for soybean and corn, both used as animal feed. Rising commodity prices have caused political instability before. The Arab Spring in 2011 is seen as being sparked by higher food prices. Resource-rich Indonesia has imposed export curbs, first on coal and then on palm oil, used in a wide variety of food and consumer products. This "resource nationalism," in which a country corrals its resources in favor of its domestic economy, is becoming another source of upward pressure on international prices.

Canada’s transport minister asks provinces to revoke licenses, insurance of Freedom Convoy truckers

Omar Alghabra stated that the roadside safety inspections used to obstruct the progress of trucks going to the blockades have been successful and advocated for their further use.

Wed Feb 9, 2022 - 10:31 am EST

OTTAWA, Ontario (LifeSiteNews) — A Canadian politician has called for the documents allowing protesting truckers to work at their trade to be suspended.

Canada’s Minister of Transport Omar Alghabra encouraged the country’s provinces to suspend the commercial licenses and insurance of the thousands of truckers who are protesting in the streets throughout the country and demanding an end to the nation’s COVID-19 mandates.

“The provinces have extensive regulatory powers over commercial trucking and road transportation to help end this unlawful occupation and disruptions of commercial trucks, blockading the streets and highways,” said Alghabra in a Feb. 7 press conference.

“The powers could include, for example, quickly enforcing the provisions of the Ontario highway safety to begin suspending commercial licenses and also insurance of the commercial owners of the equipment blocking in the streets days on end in a city or on a highway,” he continued. “It’s clear: blockades of streets and bridges is against the law and should bring serious consequences against the owners.”

Alghabra claimed that he has listened to the concerns of the country’s truckers and their representatives, as well as the Canadian Trucking Alliance, on “real” industry problems before making his underhanded recommendations to the provinces.

The minister also claimed that all of those with whom he spoke said the protests were both undemocratic and did not express the true sentiments of Canadian truckers.

“They all told me that this occupation does not represent Canadian truckers,” said Alghabra.

“They also all said that in Canada this is not how we raise concerns and advocate for policies.”

Alghabra stated that the roadside safety inspections used to obstruct the progress of trucks going to the blockades have been successful and advocated for their further use.

Despite Alghabra’s move to frighten the freedom convoys into submission, Canada’s truckers show no sign of backing down from their demands. Even though official statements have denied that governments have been swayed by the truckers’ protests, there are clear signs that the Freedom Convoy is succeeding in dismantling the vaccine mandates produced by the nation’s ruling class.

Additionally, Alghabra’s assertions that the trucker convoys are unpopular and do not demonstrate the true Canadian spirit seem to be lost on most of the general public, who have been seen on bridge after bridge, standing in the freezing cold, cheerfully waving the truckers onward with Canadian flags, while the truckers roll in increasing numbers to re-establish Canadians’ freedom.

States one step closer in uphill, unconventional approach to amend Constitution, limit federal govt power

17 states have passed the resolution calling for a convention of states

By Teny Sahakian | Fox News | February 9, 2022

A state senator calling for constitutional amendments said that "overreach on the part of the federal government" has forced states to attempt reform in a way never accomplished before.

The Nebraska Legislature passed a resolution Jan. 28 calling on states to begin the formal process to pass constitutional amendments that would limit the federal government's spending and jurisdiction, as well as set term limits for members of Congress.

"What's driving this as much as anything is overreach on the part of the federal government," Nebraska state Sen. Steve Halloran, who sponsored the resolution, told Fox News.

"The Founding Fathers had anxiety that that might happen," he said. "I don't believe they imagined that it would get to this point."

Under Article V of the Constitution, state legislatures can bypass Congress to propose and vote on constitutional amendments through a convention of states.

Halloran's resolution, LR14, is Nebraska’s application for a convention that would discuss amendments to "impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, limit the power and jurisdiction of the federal government, and limit the terms of office for its officials and for members of Congress."

"It's become abundantly clear with the history of Congress that they have no sense of limiting their spending and the accrued debt that's happening upon our nation," Halloran said, calling the U.S.’s $30 trillion national debt "unsustainable."

"We have effectively kicked that can down the road on repayment of any of that, but we cannot kick the can down the road every year," he continued.

It takes 34 states to call the convention and 38 states are needed to ratify an amendment. Nebraska was the 17th state – marking the half-way point – to pass such a resolution since the effort started in 2013. Wisconsin passed one the week prior.

Halloran urged other states to "seriously consider" the legislation to call for a Convention of States.

"It's an exercise in what the Constitution is," he told Fox News. "I think it would be a great civics lesson once it happens."

The resolution has passed one chamber in eight states, and legislation is pending in 15 more state legislatures. A convention of states under Article V has never been called.

Amendments instead have been proposed through Congress. Only 27 have been added since the Constitution was adopted.

"We have to look at the historic surroundings of when the Constitution was drafted in Philadelphia in 1787 and understand full well what the Founding Fathers had in mind for the states to have equal footing with the Congress in proposing amendments," Halloran said. He told Fox News he believes this is the states' opportunity to reclaim powers they relinquished to the federal government.

Halloran said he believes the Founding Fathers would have supported term limits if they had the power of hindsight. He told Fox News that such issues are why they gave states the power amend the Constitution.

"We have career politicians now instead of citizen statesmen," he said.

"We can't operate this country on fear, uncertainty and doubt," Halloran added.

Senate Republicans Vow To Block Iran Deal As Finish Line In Sight

A group of33Senate Republicans are warning that they will try to block a revival of the Iran nuclear deal if President Biden doesn’t present the terms for the agreement to Congress for review and approval.

Led by Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), the Republicans said in a letter to Biden that the president is required by a law passed in 2015 to present Congress with any new “agreement” made with Iran for a 60-day review period. Under the law, Congress could pass a resolution of disapproval that can block the nuclear deal.

If Biden doesn’t submit the agreement to Congress, the Republicans didn’t specify how they would try to block the deal. But the letter pointed out that since the nuclear deal, known as the JCPOA, isn’t a treaty, it could be torn up by the next administration if a Republican is elected in 2024.

“Any agreement related to Iran’s nuclear program which is not a treaty ratified by the Senate is subject to being reversed, and indeed will likely be torn up in the opening days of the next Presidential administration, as early as January 2025,” the letter reads.

Any nuclear agreement with Iran would never get the two-thirds approval needed in the Senate to become a treaty since virtually all Republicans and some Democrats would oppose it. This has posed a challenge for the US and Iran’s negotiations.

Tehran wants guarantees that the US won’t withdraw from the JCPOA again if it is revived. But President Biden cannot promise that future administrations will stay in the agreement. In earlier negotiations, the previous Iranian government settled for a guarantee that Biden wouldn’t leave the JCPOA during his term, but Biden refused to make the vow.

The JCPOA negotiations in Vienna resumed on Tuesday. Going into the talks, the State Department warned time is running out, but also said an agreement is “in sight.” Iranian officials said progress depends on whether or not the US is willing to lift the necessary sanctions.

MUST SEE: Hannity and Bongino DEMOLISH Geraldo Over His Bootlicking Defense of the Biden Regime Passing Out Crack Pipes to Addicts – Completely Shut Him Down After Asking “What Would You Do if It Was Your Child?” – (VIDEO)

https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2022/02/must-see-hannity-bongino-demolish-geraldo-bootlicking-defense-biden-regime-passing-crack-pipes-addicts-completely-shut-asking/

On Tuesday night, Greg Geraldo and Dan Bongino joined Fox News’ Sean Hannity to discuss the Biden Administration’s recent announcement that it is opening facilities to provide drug users a ‘safe space’ to get high, while also providing the paraphernalia – shiny new crack pipes, clean needles, etc., etc. – to support their deadly habit.

The unbelievable decision is being billed as a potential solution to the fentanyl epidemic that’s sweeping the nation, which has killed over 100,000 Americans in the last year alone. In some places, such as San Francisco, fentanyl has killed more people over the past year than Covid, even when going by the heavily manipulated count that includes people who died with the virus, not just those who died from it.

Instead of sealing the southern border to effectively limit the flow of deadly drugs into the country, the public health ‘experts’ in Biden’s regime have decided that enabling individuals to wallow in their addiction – with clean needles and pipes – will help curb the issue.

You may be asking yourself: ‘who in their right mind would support such a ridiculous and destructive plan, and how would they even justify it?’

Well, look no further than Greg Geraldo, Fox News’ resident mustache. During the segment, in which Hannity introduced him with the preface “I’m expecting the worst about to come out of your mouth,” Geraldo defended Biden’s crackpipe plan by claiming it was necessary, because, you know, if you are against it, you are a heartless monster who doesn’t care about the lives of addicts – or as he repeatedly calls them, “junkies.”

Oh and by the way, it’s not like the government is handing out the drugs, the addicts bring their own, so it’s all good, Geraldo added.

“This is the question, do junkies lives matter? We lost 100,000 Americans in the last one year to overdose deaths. Fentanyl is everywhere. It’s in all of these drugs. They [the Biden administration] opened these two pilot locations with a safe secure – where the junkies can shoot up – they’ve saved 114 lives in 6 weeks. It’s not a pretty thing, it’s awful. I hate it, and yet, what’s the option? Watching them overdose? Watching them die in the street?

Hannity interjects, correctly pointing out that several other options have been laid out and are even in effect as law, including addiction treatment by trained drug counselors that can help these people overcome their addictions instead of enabling them to continue their downward spiral.

Geraldo continues:

“There are therapists on site, as i understand it, in the pilot locations. There are sanitary conditions. They [addicts] come in with their own drugs, [it’s] not that the government is giving them drugs. I dont like it, it’s ugly, but what i dont like worse is the 100,000 dead junkies.”

After Geraldo’s best defense of the policy, Hannity unleashes Bongino to demolish the ridiculous argument, and he did not disappoint. “Don’t worry Sean,” he quips. “Geraldo says they come in with their own drugs, so no worries, folks. As long as they’re coming in with their own drugs – that’s A-OK.”

“Geraldo, this is just juvenile,” Bongino continues. “You constantly engage in this first-order thinking stuff. You do this with immigration too, where you never ask the question: OK, and then what? So you say, ‘well it’s not compassionate if we stop people who are suffering at the border,’ and then you never say to yourself ‘what if we tell people who come in the country illegally that if you come in, we’re going to make the process [easier for you] – we’re going to facilitate it [well, what then?], he posits.

“This is the Geraldo model of thinking, and in this [crackpipe defense], you’re doing it again – you’re saying: ‘well, Sean, do you want five or six junkies to die? So we should make it easier for them to do drugs – never saying, ‘OK, well then what? What happens when we make it easier to do drugs? – Maybe [the inevitable result is] more people would do drugs, that’s what second-order thinking entails.”

After a brief pushback by Geraldo, which included him saying treatment has been around forever and pointing out how more Americans are dying from fentanyl than covid in some places, Bongino drops down the hammer on the self-proclaimed “Walter Cronkite of dope:”

“So, just to be clear here, you’re suggesting that because these people died of drugs – which is tragic, I don’t wish death on anyone – that we should make the drug-using process easier by giving the equipment to use drugs? There you go, the verdict is in. That makes sense to you? Like how does that make sense? [Americans are overdosing on an unprecedented scale] So, lets give them the equipment to use more drugs.”

Still unwavering in his defense of the policy, Geraldo responds by pointing, yet again, to the 114 lives saved by the pilot program – which, by the way, is hard to quantify seeing as that the same addict can O.D. multiple times, and/or will continue to put their lives in danger with continued drug use.

Seeing that the conversation is going nowhere, Hannity chimes in with a different tactic, asking Geraldo what he would do if he was in this situation because his kids were the “junkies” who needed clean supplies to get high.

“Geraldo, you’re a great parent. I know you, I know your kids, and you are a great father. That I know about you. Now, [what if] your kid comes to you and says: ‘dad, I’m smoking crack, you can’t stop me. And I’m shooting heroin, you can’t stop me. But I can’t get any clean needles. What are you going to do?“

Visibly shaken by the question, Geraldo attempts to deflect, claiming he would “die” and be crying “blood” if his kids put him in that scenario because it’s a horrible dilemma.

Welcome to reality, Geraldo.

After tap dancing around for a minute and refusing to acknowledge the question, Hannity finally gets Geraldo to answer, exposing the elitist hypocrisy behind his bootlicking virtue-signaling.

“I wouldn’t go out and buy clean syringes [for my own son], I would not do that.“

Bingo. He has no issue with Biden enabling “junkies,” as he calls them, but the buck stops with his own children. Once again, the people behind these destructive policies, like handing out needles and crackpipes to addicts, believe they should only be used on the ‘plebs’ that they view themselves as better than.

Lumber Surges Anew as Supplies Shrink Ahead of Building Season

Lumber is on a tear again, bringing back the specter of increasing construction costs. Lumber futures have recouped recent losses and risen by the exchange maximum of $45 for six consecutive sessions, touching $1,204.90 per 1,000 board feet Wednesday, the highest in three weeks. After prices slumped in January amid cold U.S. weather and transportation bottlenecks, tight inventories ahead of peak building season are helping to fuel a rebound. “Prices are well above trend pricing, as well as our own price forecasts,” Mark Wilde, an analyst at BMO Capital Markets in New York, said Wednesday in an email. “We are also just heading toward spring construction season and housing market activity, so it wouldn’t surprise me to see prices rally further.”Wood prices have been volatile since the pandemic began and they touched record highs during a Covid-19 fueled building boom, then collapsed because sawmills ramped up production and high prices stifled demand. An index of framing composite has more than tripled since late August, adding to the cost of an average new home.

Biden White House in Panic Mode over Truckers – Psaki Claims Freedom Convoy is More Disruptive Than the Authoritarian Mandates They’re Protesting

As thousands of truckers continue to protest, disrupting the supply chain by shutting down major ports of entry across the northern US border, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki attempted to slander the protesters during Wednesday’s press briefing by claiming that the grassroots movement has become more of a disruption than the freedom-crushing mandates that they are protesting.

In response to a reporter’s question about the Biden administration’s plan to handle the gridlock on the Ambassador Bridge at the Windsor-Detroit crossing, which is used to transport an estimated $450 million in goods each day, Psaki downplayed the effect of the protesters, claiming that they are not the cause for the “congestion.”

Yes, really – The blockade of truckers is not the primary reason for the bridge shutdown is seriously what they are going with. And in a prepared statement, no less.

It’s all falling apart, and the White House knows it.

“Well let me first start by saying I know there’s been some suggestion, not by reporters necessarily at all, but, that this congestion is related to the vaccine requirements. It’s not… but the protests going on across Canada which have spread to a bridge, are leading to sporadic congestion and blockages.

“I would, just going back to my point I was trying to make, is that across what we’ve seen, with these requirements, is across a range of industries, vaccination requirements have been implemented with no disruptions, have helped increase vaccinations, these requirements help protect more people from COVID, and there has been zero indication across these industries that they would lead to disruptions, including on this policy.”

Zero indication? As if the Trucking Companies haven’t been warning for months that a Trucker mandate would “devastate the economy.” What a convenient piece of information to ignore. It’s almost as if they are trying to spin a narrative or something.

On the other hand, despite claiming that the truckers have little to do with the current standstill, Psaki adds that the freedom convoy participants have become more of a disruption to everyday life than the arbitrary restrictions that have been placed on citizens for disobeying the tyrannical public health regime.

Psaki continues by claiming the current regime, “of course,” “as you know” (really have to hammer it home), support the right to freedom of speech and protest, but – and that’s an awfully damning ‘but’ – apparently not if they begin to impact the regime’s bottom line:

“We of course, support, as you know, the right to freedom of speech and protest. But, while we do see some of these congestions due to protests this is clear that these disruptions have broadened in scope beyond the vaccine requirement implementation. Beyond that, we are of course in touch with our Canadian counterparts, but I don’t have any updates in terms of specific steps.”

Kind of the point, no? The elitist hacks who have been parroting the Covid fear porn for years have enjoyed the hypocritical protection of their status, galavanting around maskless while the ‘common folk’ around them are forced to work with their faces covered, or, worse yet, have been purged from their ability to make a living completely because of the vaccine mandates.

Throughout the pandemic, elites have felt little disruption at all, but the trucker convoy’s civil disobedience is finally hitting them where it hurts – their wallets.

Gun grabbers at it again:

General Research #19714 >>>/qresearch/15589979

CA bill would require parents to notify schools of guns in the home

SB 906, authored by longtime anti-gun politician Anthony Portantino, would compel parents of K-12 students to inform their local schools whether or not they own firearms, as well as how those guns are stored in the home.

Commencing with the 2023–24 school year, and each school year thereafter, a local educational agency shall do both of the following using the model content developed by the department pursuant to Section 49391:

(1) Require the parents or guardians of a pupil to disclose, on a form used to enroll or register a pupil for the school year, whether any firearms are located at the home of the pupil and, if so, to answer questions about the ownership, storage, and accessibility by the pupil of the firearms.

(2) Include in the annual notification required pursuant to Section 48980, information relating to the safe storage of firearms.

(b) In addition to the annual notification, the local educational agency may include information relating to the safe storage of firearms on the disclosure form described in paragraph (1) of subdivision (a).

Portantino is pointing to the school shooting in Oxford, Michigan as his justification for the bill, telling a reporter from the website LAist that “”As we saw in Michigan, a school was notified of a credible threat, and then hesitated to take action and that led to tragic results.”

That sounds like a reason to introduce legislation to ensure that schools take threats seriously, and in fact the one portion of the bill that sounds reasonable to me is the requirement that schools search the locker and personal belongings of a student if they’ve been deemed a “credible threat” to student safety. Rather than stop there, however, instead Portantino made the heart of his legislation an unserious and unconstitutional attempt to demonize gun ownership in general that also violates the privacy rights of California gun owners.

Even if there weren’t glaringly obvious concerns with the constitutionality of Portantino’s proposal, the bill is so fundamentally flawed that it would be useless in actually preventing a school shooting.

First, the presence of a firearm in the home is not an indication that a student will act out violently, so signaling out gun-owning parents and putting them under the microscope accomplishes nothing except ticking them off.

The bill also apparently doesn’t get into the repercussions of not informing the school of your gun ownership or storage habits, so it’s unclear what, if any, consequences there would be for failing to comply.

The bill also states that parents or guardians must disclose their gun ownership and storage habits when a student is first enrolled or registered. What happens if, as in the case of the parents of the accused murderer in Oxford, Michigan, the gun is purchased during the school year? As the bill is written, the parents would not have been under any obligation to disclose their purchase to the school, because it happened after the school year had begun.

Honestly, though, those issues pale in comparison to the assault on our individual rights presented by the overriding ideology behind the legislation. We’ve already seen California move to allow anti-gun academics access to personal and identifying information about individual gun owners, and now anti-gun lawmakers want every anti-gun school administrator and teacher to be informed about which families have guns in their home.

By the way, do you think those who illegally possess a gun in the home are going to come clean to a school principal or guidance counselor? Yeah, me neither.

China Evergrande shares firm after chairman vows full construction, no fire sales

Shares of China Evergrande Group (3333.HK)jumped on Thursday after the chairman of the world's most indebted property developer said it would resume construction, and ruled out fire sales.

Evergrande, with more than $300 billion in liabilities, including nearly $20 billion international bonds deemed to be in default, has been struggling to repay creditors, suppliers, and deliver homes.

Shares gained as much as 7.2% to HK$1.79, their highest since Jan. 25. That compared with a loss of 0.3% in the benchmark Hang Seng Index (.HSI) and a rise of 2.5% in Hang Seng Mainland Properties Index (.HSMPI).

China Evergrande needs to clear its debt by fully restoring construction and sales activities and not by selling assets on the cheap, its chairman, Hui Ka Yan, told an internal meeting, vowing to complete half of pre-sold homes this year.

Hui said the firm aimed to fully resume construction work across China this month, compared with 93.2% at the end of last year, with a goal of delivering 600,000 apartments in 2022.

Evergrande started having trouble repaying its suppliers and creditors in June as a bloated real estate sector suffered from deleveraging, triggering massive selloffs in its shares and bonds.

During the early days of the firm's debt crisis, its CEO, Xia Haijun, cashed out his bond holdings for a total of $128 million between July 27 to August 17 at prices of 35.88 cents to 52.38 cents, stock exchange filings on Wednesday showed.

The prices compared to Evergrande's bonds trading at around 15 cents on Thursday.

https://www.reuters.com/world/china/china-evergrande-set-open-up-18-2022-02-10/

noticed that Fitch downgraded El Salvador debt into further junk territory cause of the bitcoin risk but they still sgt schultz on Evergrande (as are the rest of the ratings agencies).

Maersk to Acquire Land-Based Logistics Provider Pilot Freight Services

Mike Schuler

February 9, 2022

A.P. Moller – Maersk is continuing its integrated logistics transformation, announcing Wednesday its intention to acquire U.S.-based trucking company Pilot Freight Services (Pilot) for $1.8 billion.

Pilot specializes in first, middle, last mile solutions in the United States’ “big and bulky” freight segment, as well as North American border crossings. The company operates a facilities-based transportation network of 87 stations and hubs and uses mainly 3rd party trucking providers for full truckload (FTL) and less-than-truckload (LTL) shipments for both B2C and B2B freight distribution.

Maersk will acquire the company from ATL Partners, a sector-focused Private Equity firm in New York and British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI), one of the largest institutional investors in Canada.

For Maersk, the acquisition would be the latest in its transformation from a container shipping powerhouse into an integrated logistics provider, having acquired six businesses in 2021 within air, e-commerce, warehousing and fulfillment.

“In Maersk we continue our path to develop truly integrated logistics offering for our customers, offering them better visibility, more control and resilience in their supply chains,” said Vincent Clerc, CEO of Ocean & Logistics, A.P. Moller – Maersk. “Adding the capabilities of Pilot is especially important because it will allow us to create more exciting solutions for our customers and support them through the acceleration of the migration towards e-commerce. Furthermore, it will open significant cost synergy opportunities by leveraging the capabilities we have already developed in the network.”

Combined, Pilot and Maersk will offer approximately 150 facilities in the United States, including distribution centers, hubs and stations. “This landside logistics network depth combined with Maersk’s international presence will create tremendous new, end-to-end supply chain performance capabilities. Pilot’s acquisition of American Linehaul Corporation in July 2021 was instrumental in creating this leading market expertise in middle mile, LTL expedited capabilities,” Maersk said in a statement.

The transaction price was listed $1.68 billion, equivalent to an enterprise value of $1.8 billion. The acquisition is still subject to regulatory review and approval, which Maersk said is expected to be obtained by Q2 2022.
