An NYPD cop fatally shot himself inside his Manhattan apartment on Wednesday, sources said.

The officer, 34, was discovered by police inside his Stuyvesant Town apartment at about 7:15 p.m. after he failed to show up for work, according to sources.

He was found lying face down on his bed, sources said, and there was a gun beside him.

Senator Hawley Introduces Bill to Defend U.S. Circuit Boards From Chinese Exploitation, Strengthen Supply Chain

Wednesday, April 28, 2021

Today Senator Josh Hawley (R-Mo.), a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, introduced the Protecting Critical Boards and Electronics Through Transparency and Enduring Reinvestment (PCBETTER) Act to prevent Beijing from inserting and exploiting vulnerabilities in printed circuit boards (PCBs) that are made in China and used throughout the American military.

“Chinese printed circuit boards pose a serious threat to the integrity of America’s defense systems. It is imperative that we give the Department of Defense the tools it needs to secure its printed circuit board supply chains, so that our warfighters can have full confidence in the weapons they rely on to protect our nation.”

A disproportionate amount of the PCBs used in the DoD’s electronic systems come from China, where they are vulnerable to sabotage by the Chinese government. The PCBETTER Act will help to secure the DoD’s PCB supply chains by:

Authorizing a ten-year fund to strengthen American PCB and other microelectronics manufacturing and support implementation of critical supply chain security initiatives.

Requiring contractors to inform the DoD if certain information systems contain PCBs made in China or other adversary nations, so the Department can focus vulnerability detection and mitigation efforts on those systems.

Establishing a testing, remediation, and prevention regime to address vulnerabilities in information systems that contain or may contain PCBs made in China or other adversary nations.

Statement from Rudy W. Giuliani

The Biden department of justice has completely ignored clear evidence (which the FBI has had for over a year) in texts and emails on Hunter Biden’s hard drive of failing to register numerous times as a foreign agent, child pornography, money laundering, and 30 years of the Biden Crime family taking millions and millions in bribes to sell his public offices.

Instead, the Justice Department decided it was a higher priority to serve (at dawn) search warrants for electronics at the home and law office of former Mayor Rudolph Giuliani.

The search warrants involve only one indication of an alleged incident of failure to register as a foreign agent. Mayor Giuliani has not only denied this allegation, but offered twice in the past two years through his attorney Bob Costello to demonstrate that it is entirely untrue. Twice the offer was rejected by the SDNY by stating that while they were willing to listen to anything Mr. Costello had to say, they would not tell Mr. Giuliani or Mr. Costello, the subject matter they wanted him to address.

This contrasts with multiple proven incidences of failure to file as a foreign agent contained on the Biden hard drive which the FBI and the Department of Justice has ignored. You have not seen the home of Hunter Biden raided by the FBI with search warrants. This behavior of the justice department, enabled by a compliant media, running roughshod over the constitutional rights of anyone involved in, or legally defending, former President Donald J. Trump is becoming the rule, rather than the exception.

It is also a clear example of a corrupt double standard. One for high-level democrats whose blatant crimes are ignored, such as Hilary Clinton, Hunter Biden, Joe Biden, and Republicans who are prominent supporters and defenders of President Trump who, are subjected to false charges and procedures used in the past, if at all, in cases involving terrorists and organized criminals.

The electronics taken are, also, replete with the material covered by the attorney-client privilege and other constitutional privileges. The warrant served on Mr. Giuliani’s law office is another disturbing example of complete disregard for the attorney-client privilege protected by the Sixth Amendment to the Constitution.

Remember the newspaper reports that explained that twice before, the SDNY went to Main Justice to seek permission to obtain a search warrant for Mr. Giuliani’s electronic devices and twice before the request was rejected. What changed? A new Administration – a new Attorney General. Were they ever informed of Mr. Costello’s offer? Was the Judge who signed the search warrant ever informed of Mr. Costello’s offer? We think not.

Twice, Mr. Giuliani’s counsel offered to sit with the SDNY and demonstrate that Mr. Giuliani’s conduct was lawful. It is outrageous that the Trump Derangement Syndrome has gone so far that hatred has driven this unjustified and unethical attack on the United States Attorney and Mayor who did more to reduce crime than virtually any other in American history. Mr. Giuliani respects the law, and he can demonstrate that his conduct as a lawyer and a citizen was absolutely legal and ethical.

Of course, I’m sure you will not be surprised that the FBI left behind the only electronics that contain evidence of crimes, the Hunter Biden hard drives. Mayor Giuliani offered them on several occasions, but the agents steadfastly declined. Keep in mind that the agents could not read the physical hard drives without plugging them in, but they took Mr. Giuliani’s word that the hard drives were copies of Hunter Biden’s hard drive and did not contain anything pertaining to Mr. Giuliani. Think about what that tells you. Their reliance on Mr. Giuliani’s credibility tells you everything you need to know about this case.

'Let our children breathe!': Arizona school board flees as angry parents demand lift of mask mandate for kids

The school board for Vail, Arizona, scrapped its scheduled meeting Tuesday night and called 911 after a group of furious parents swarmed their study session ahead of time demanding the panel drop the mask mandate for their children.

Last week, Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey (R) lifted the statewide mask mandate for schools, but some districts immediately announced they would keep their own mask mandates in place — including the Vail Unified School District.

So, Vail parents against the mask mandate for their kids held a rally outside the Vail Education Center (where Tuesday's meeting was set to take place), holding protest signs and chanting, "Let our children breathe!"

The crowd, estimated to be around 100 people, then poured inside the facility where they were greeted by a sergeant and four deputies from the Pima County Sheriff's Department who informed them that the meeting had been canceled due to safety concerns, according to KGUN-TV.

"These are our kids," one furious mom can be seen telling law enforcement at the scene, according to a video from KVOA-TV. "We have bills in the Constitution in Arizona that give us parental rights — they are inalienable rights. They do not have the right to take them away, and yet this state, and this board, has taken it away from us. And they have the audacity to leave when we come here as peaceful parents and talk to them? It's bull crap."

At this time, however, the district's mask mandate remains in place and so does the school board elected by the public at large, KVOA reported.

Europe's Vega rocket returned to flight late Wednesday (April 28), delivering to orbit Europe's most advanced Earth observation satellite to date.

The mission by the European launch provider Arianespace lifted off from the Guiana Space Center near Kourou, French Guiana, at 9:50 p.m EDT (0150 April 29 GMT), carrying the Pléiades Neo 3 Earth observation satellite and five small "rideshare" payloads. It was the first Vega launch since November, when a failure of its Avum upper stage resulted in a loss of two Earth observation satellites.

The Wednesday launch, Vega's 18th overall, marked the second occasion the light rocket flew the small satellite dispenser SSMS (Small Spacecraft Mission Service), designed to answer the growing need for ridesharing services for small satellites.

In addition to the 900-kilogram (2,000 lbs.) Pléiades Neo 3, the rocket delivered to orbit five secondary satellites, including Norwegian experimental navigation radar detector NorSat-3, Eutelsat's telecommunication Tyvak-182A 6U cubesat, and two Spire Lemur-2 satellites for maritime and aviation tracking.

Pléiades Neo satellites can also link up with the "SpaceDataHighway" network of geostationary satellites (also known as the European Data Relay System) "to enable urgent acquisitions just 30 to 40 minutes following the tasking request to swiftly respond to the most critical situations," Airbus officials said in a statement.

"Pléiades Neo is a game changer for Airbus and its geo-intelligence customers," Jean-Marc Nasr, head of Space Systems at Airbus, said in the statement. "We can offer a state of the art constellation delivering 30cm resolution imagery in near real-time, opening up a completely new range of applications to give our customers more detail, more quickly."

Statement by Robert J. Costello on April 28, 2021

Rudolph Giuliani has authorized Robert J. Costello to release the following statement regarding the events on April 28, 2021:

The Biden department of justice has completely ignored clear evidence (which the FBI has had for over a year) in texts and emails on Hunter Biden’s hard drive of failing to register numerous times as a foreign agent, child pornography, money laundering, and 30 years of the Biden Crime family taking millions and millions in bribes to sell his public offices.

Instead, the Justice Department decided it was a higher priority to serve (at dawn) search warrants for electronics at the home and law office of former Mayor Rudolph Giuliani.

The search warrants involve only one indication of an alleged incident of failure to register as a foreign agent. Mayor Giuliani has not only denied this allegation, but offered twice in the past two years through his attorney Bob Costello to demonstrate that it is entirely untrue. Twice the offer was rejected by the SDNY by stating that while they were willing to listen to anything Mr. Costello had to say, they would not tell Mr. Giuliani or Mr. Costello, the subject matter they wanted him to address.

This contrasts with multiple proven incidences of failure to file as a foreign agent contained on the Biden hard drive which the FBI and the Department of Justice has ignored. You have not seen the home of Hunter Biden raided by the FBI with search warrants. This behavior of the justice department, enabled by a compliant media, running roughshod over the constitutional rights of anyone involved in, or legally defending, former President Donald J. Trump is becoming the rule, rather than the exception.

It is also a clear example of a corrupt double standard. One for high-level democrats whose blatant crimes are ignored, such as Hilary Clinton, Hunter Biden, Joe Biden, and Republicans who are prominent supporters and defenders of President Trump who, are subjected to false charges and procedures used in the past, if at all, in cases involving terrorists and organized criminals.

The electronics taken are, also, replete with the material covered by the attorney-client privilege and other constitutional privileges. The warrant served on Mr. Giuliani’s law office is another disturbing example of complete disregard for the attorney-client privilege protected by the Sixth Amendment to the Constitution.

Remember the newspaper reports that explained that twice before, the SDNY went to Main Justice to seek permission to obtain a search warrant for Mr. Giuliani’s electronic devices and twice before the request was rejected. What changed? A new Administration – a new Attorney General. Were they ever informed of Mr. Costello’s offer? Was the Judge who signed the search warrant ever informed of Mr. Costello’s offer? We think not.

Twice, Mr. Giuliani’s counsel offered to sit with the SDNY and demonstrate that Mr. Giuliani’s conduct was lawful. It is outrageous that the Trump Derangement Syndrome has gone so far that hatred has driven this unjustified and unethical attack on the United States Attorney and Mayor who did more to reduce crime than virtually any other in American history. Mr. Giuliani respects the law, and he can demonstrate that his conduct as a lawyer and a citizen was absolutely legal and ethical.

Of course, I’m sure you will not be surprised that the FBI left behind the only electronics that contain evidence of crimes, the Hunter Biden hard drives. Mayor Giuliani offered them on several occasions, but the agents steadfastly declined. Keep in mind that the agents could not read the physical hard drives without plugging them in, but they took Mr. Giuliani’s word that the hard drives were copies of Hunter Biden’s hard drive and did not contain anything pertaining to Mr. Giuliani. Think about what that tells you. Their reliance on Mr. Giuliani’s credibility tells you everything you need to know about this case.
