Supreme Court Sides With Democrats On Pennsylvania Mail-In Deadline After Justice Roberts Joins Liberals

 

In a decision that could have profound consequences for the outcome of the election, late on Monday the Supreme Court denied a request from Pennsylvania's Republican Party to shorten the deadlines for mail-in ballots in the state after Chief Justice John Roberts joined liberal justices Sotomayor, Kagan and Breyer to oppose the four conservative justices Thomas, Alito, Kavanaugh and Gorsuch who said they would have granted the application.

 

After a Pennsylvania Supreme Court decision had moved the deadline for absentee ballots to be counted from 8 p.m. on Election Day to 5 p.m. the following Friday, Nov. 6, Pennsylvania Republicans and top officials from the state’s GOP-held legislature asked the Supreme Court to the ruling.

 

If the U.S. Supreme Court had granted a stay, it would have resulted in a return to the original deadline. However, due to the court's 4-4 deadlock, the previous decision stays and mail-in ballots can be counted.

 

As reported earlier, when discussing the implications of timing when absentee ballots are pre-processed, some states do not allow mail-in ballots to be opened before Election Day which could mean counting delays. This includes a few of the critical swing states – such as PA and WI.

A new photo of Hunter Biden’s business partner Devon Archer meeting with Vice President Joe Biden in his office in 2014 was released today.

 

The image and another from Joe Biden’s ceremonial office ran in a Russia Today broadcast in 2014.

 

The room in this photo which ran in the Russia Today segment appears to be the Vice President’s ceremonial office.

 

Here’s another photo of the VP ceremonial office.

 

Documents released last week by The New York Post show that Vadym Pozharskyi, an adviser to the board of Burisma, allegedly sent Hunter Biden on April 17, 2015, about a year after Hunter joined the Burisma board at a reported salary of up to $50,000 a month.

 

The footage is from Russia Today back in 2014 when Russia went to war with Ukraine.

 

The attorneys for Rosemont Seneca Partners — Hunter Biden and Devon Archer’s company — later wrote Burisma and told them to remove the photo from their webpage!!

The Daily Caller obtained an unredacted Department of Defense document from a source with direct knowledge of an investigation into Gordon’s behavior as a lieutenant colonel from December 2011, as well as a redacted Department of Defense document (described as “interim findings”) that shows Gordon was again under investigation in Afghanistan and was subsequently relieved of duty.

 

One of the reports outlines how Gordon purportedly left her battalion without permission to campaign for local office in 2012, saying she posed a “significant threat to the Battalion’s ability to perform an incredibly stressful and sensitive wartime mission.”

 

Two sources with direct knowledge of the investigation confirmed the authenticity of the documents outlining the investigations into Gordon to the Daily Caller. The first investigation started after Gordon made a complaint about “four horsemen” when she was serving as a battalion commander. She alleged the four white men under her command were causing trouble, however, the investigation says there was no evidence of any wrongdoing by the four and that others on the base had never heard of the “four horsemen.” The report then concluded Gordon should be relieved of duty.

 

“LTC Gordon’s relationship with her current command team is becoming increasingly dysfunctional, causing a sensed polarization of her Battalion and impacting the Battalion’s cohesiveness. It appears that ever since the Battalion’s leadership conducted their Pre-Deployment Site Survey in Afghanistan, the Battalion Commander has increasingly estranged herself from her entire command element,” the investigation document into Gordon’s behavior states.

 

“The existing climate involving the Battalion Commander and her staff cannot be described as anything less than toxic and nonconducive to the efficient execution of the Battalion’s wartime mission,” the document reads. “Based on the above facts, I recommend that LTC Gordon be removed from the battle roster and relieved from command. I base this recommendation on the leadership deficiencies identified above, as well as the inability of LTC Gordon and… to function effectively as a command team,” one of the investigations concluded.

ISIS Calls On Followers To Attack Westerners & Oil Pipelines Inside Saudi Arabia

 

Though the so-called Islamic State Caliphate was at its height in 2014 and 2015, the terror group has been driven underground since it lost 95% of its territory in Iraq and Syria by December 2017. And in October 2019 the US military said it killed ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi on the outskirts of Idlib province in Syria.

 

Effectively defeated, it's believed that ISIS has since organized itself into a network of terror cells in Iraq and Syria. This has been used as a prime justification for the Pentagon keeping some 500 to possibly 2,000 American troops in Syria, alongside Trump's 'secure the oil' campaign in Deir Ezzor.

 

But now Reuters reports ISIS has issued a rare new message urging supporters to attack westerners and oil pipelines inside Saudi Arabia.

 

Reuters cites ISIS spokesman Abu Hamza al-Muhajir who issued a recorded message calling for the stepped up attacks inside the kingdom:

 

“Targets are plenty… Start by hitting and destroying oil pipelines,‮‮ ‬‬factories and facilities which are the source (of income) of the tyrant government,” he said.

 

The message followed by alleging Riyadh is a supporter of Gulf states' unprecedented step of opening diplomatic relations with Israel.

 

"He said the kingdom had supported normalization with Israel by opening its airspace for Israeli flights to neighboring Gulf states," Reuters continues.

 

Both the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain were among the first to sign historic agreements with the Jewish state, despite no Arab Gulf country ever recognizing Israel in history.

MARGARET BRENNAN: We want to turn now to election security and Admiral Mike Rogers. During the last election, he was the head of the National Security Agency and US Cyber Command, which runs military cyberspace operations. Good morning to you. This is–

 

ADMIRAL MIKE ROGERS: Good morning, MARGARET.

 

MARGARET BRENNAN: –this is the most watched, potentially most complicated election in the midst of a pandemic that our country has seen. I know in 2016, after the fact, you said you wish more had been done in terms of direct public action before the election took place. What do you think about now? How secure are elections?

 

ROGERS: So, I am very confident that we're going to have an election that will allow us to vote as citizens, that will accurately reflect the results of that voting and will generate a set of results that we can believe in. I think a lot of work has been done. The biggest challenge to me in some ways is the context in which this election is occurring. We're a very polarized and divided nation right now, and we're in the middle of a significant health crisis. So I think there's a few things we need to be mindful of. The first is the turnout, based on everything we've seen, will hit record levels. We need to be prepared for longer lines and a longer process. There's just a whole lot more voters. And, for example, trying to man polling centers in the midst of a pandemic when historically many of your poll workers are older individuals, for example, it's just going to present a challenge. So it's going to take longer. We should be ready for that. Number two, we need to remember elections are run on a state level, so the processes are different. And what is legal and a structure in one state is not the same in another. We need to recognize that and not view that as, hey, there's something wrong because someone else is doing something differently than I am in this election. Number three, I- I think we need to be mindful it is unlikely that we're going to get a result when we go to bed the night of the election.

 

MARGARET BRENNAN: Right.

 

ROGERS: It is very possible, but I think we just need to be ready, given the amount of turnout, given the number of mail in ballots. In some states, for example, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, you can't start counting mail in ballots until the actual Election Day.

 

MARGARET BRENNAN: Right.

 

ROGERS: So we need to be ready for a result that doesn't come out that same night. The last two points I would make, I think, remember, our system allows for legal challenges, legal challenges to process, legal challenges to outcome. That doesn't happen historically all that often at presidential levels, but it often happens at congressional and other levels. We need to let that process play out. And lastly, remember, there's time built into this process. States do not actually have to complete the certification process until the middle of December. So let's just be calm. Let's participate. Let's do it peacefully without violence, and then let's let this system play out just as it has for almost two and a half centuries.

 

MARGARET BRENNAN: No, it's important expectation setting that you just did there. I want to get to your old line of work and your expertise on the intelligence front, because we know U.S. intelligence says that right now Russia is trying to basically manipulate the public, spread disinformation about the election specifically to hurt the Democratic candidate and some Kremlin linked actors trying to boost the president. Can Russia at this point actually change the outcome of the election by altering votes? Do they have that capability?

 

ROGERS: So, do they have capability? Yes. Is it likely? No, and we haven't seen anything to date that would suggest that we're certainly seeing in cyber the same level of activity that we saw back in 2016. I would say where I think the Russians are doubling down is a little less on cyber activity directed directly against voting infrastructure. Think about voter registration, the actual machines we use to cast ballots, the computer systems we use to tabulate ballot- voting ballots. I don't think you're seeing that same level of activity. Rather, I think, what you're watching the Russians do is really double down on the idea of using disinformation via social media and other paths to attempt- to continue to polarize our nation, to incite violence, to incite hatred and to attempt to pull us apart.

ROGERS: MARGARET, I don't know the specifics of this case. Again, my view would be, let's let it play out, let's investigate it, let's get some factual evidence, let's get the metadata and let's see if this is accurate or not. I'm just not in a position–

RODGERS: really to speculate. I'm not a fan of speculation

 

MARGARET BRENNAN: Well, it's being compared to the hack and dump operation that happened, as you know, back in 2016. A lot of Democrats alleging that it is that. So when you say you see Russia doing a disinformation and access- spreading disinformation, is that the kind of thing you're talking about?

 

RODGERS: That could be an element. So when you look at a disinformation campaign, you see the Russians using false identities. So you might think you're talking to a fellow American from the Midwest when actually you're talking to a Russian troll in St. Petersburg. So using false identity, using false information, attempting to manipulate images, the use of videos that are distorted to create an impression that is not based in fact, to try to energize individual's emotions, their prejudices, their viewpoints, to galvanize them, to work against, if you will, an outcome that brings us together.

 

MARGARET BRENNAN: Very quickly, what is the thing to watch on election night to know if our elections are secure or not?

 

RODGERS: So if you saw an effort on the part of a foreign entity to attempt to manipulate or deny our election processes, the things I would be looking for are, number one, do you see widespread–

RODGERS: –and I'm not just talking about one or two places, but you see widespread challenges associated with voter registration rolls?

Obama Officials Who Helped Slash Pensions for Delphi Workers Shower Joe Biden with Campaign Cash

 

Former Obama administration officials, linked to the slashing of pensions for 20,000 Delphi workers, are showering Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden with campaign cash to oust President Trump from office.

 

In 2009, as part of the Obama-Biden administration’s taxpayer-funded bailout of General Motors (GM), the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) terminated the pension plans of about 20,0000 non-unionized Delphi workers. In some cases, workers had their pensions gutted by as much as 75 percent.

 

A federal report in 2013 detailed that the Delphi workers would likely have their pensions cut by an estimated $440 million. Meanwhile, GM topped off unionized Delphi workers’ pensions at a cost of about $1 billion.

 

In 2012, federal documents unveiled how the Obama-Biden administration’s Treasury Department worked to gut the pensions of the Delphi workers. In other emails, PBGC officials indicated they had the green light from the Obama-Biden administration to slash the pensions.

 

Trump officials have said the president is working on an executive plan to restore the Delphi pension after more than a decade of no help from the Obama administration.

 

A number of Obama officials directly involved with the auto bailout deal that slashed the pensions are now banking on a Biden victory on November 3 — pouring hundreds of thousands of dollars into the former vice president’s campaign with Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA).

 

Among those officials involved in the deal were former Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner, who reportedly contributed $150,000 to the Biden Action Fund in August. As previously noted, emails in 2012 detailed how Geithner’s agency at the time “was the driving force behind terminating the pensions of 20,000 salaried retirees at the Delphi auto parts manufacturing company.”

 

Geithner was said to have delegated out responsibility for the Delphi pensions to a select team of Obama officials, though insiders have said he was pushed to help the workers but did not lift a finger.

 

Likewise, Obama official Steven Rattner has contributed a total of $5,600 to Biden’s campaign last year and this year. Rattner was at the center of the Delphi pensions slashing scheme, as noted in the 2013 federal report previously mentioned:

 

According to Auto Team leader Rattner, pensions were another area where the Auto Team “encouraged” GM to cut costs. GM had a pay-as-you-go pension plan for salaried employees that was not funded and GM salaried employees and retirees wanted their full pensions, but Mr. Rattner told SIGTARP that the Auto Team wanted cuts to those benefits. [Emphasis added]

Auto Team leader Rattner told SIGTARP that GM came to the Auto Team because “GM wanted to do something for the [Delphi] salaried retirees.” Mr. Rattner discussed it with then-GM CEO Henderson. Although Mr. Rattner could not remember the specifics of the conversation, he told SIGTARP that he thought there was nothing defensible from a commercial standpoint that could be done for the Delphi salaried retirees. Mr. Rattner told SIGTARP, “We didn’t think there was anything defensible. We felt bad, but we didn’t think it was justifiable.” [Emphasis added]

NY Dem Congressional Candidate Running As A Sterling Former Army Officer Was Actually Relieved Of Duty

 

New York Democratic congressional candidate Jackie Gordon’s military records show she was subject to two investigations during her time in the U.S. Army, resulting in two separate recommendations that she be relieved of command, one of which was acted upon in Afghanistan, according to two Department of Defense sources with direct knowledge of the investigations.

 

The Daily Caller obtained an unredacted Department of Defense document from a source with direct knowledge of an investigation into Gordon’s behavior as a lieutenant colonel from December 2011, as well as a redacted Department of Defense document (described as “interim findings”) that shows Gordon was again under investigation in Afghanistan and was subsequently relieved of duty.

 

One of the reports outlines how Gordon purportedly left her battalion without permission to campaign for local office in 2012, saying she posed a “significant threat to the Battalion’s ability to perform an incredibly stressful and sensitive wartime mission.”

 

Two sources with direct knowledge of the investigation confirmed the authenticity of the documents outlining the investigations into Gordon to the Daily Caller. The first investigation started after Gordon made a complaint about “four horsemen” when she was serving as a battalion commander. She alleged the four white men under her command were causing trouble, however, the investigation says there was no evidence of any wrongdoing by the four and that others on the base had never heard of the “four horsemen.” The report then concluded Gordon should be relieved of duty.

 

“LTC Gordon’s relationship with her current command team is becoming increasingly dysfunctional, causing a sensed polarization of her Battalion and impacting the Battalion’s cohesiveness. It appears that ever since the Battalion’s leadership conducted their Pre-Deployment Site Survey in Afghanistan, the Battalion Commander has increasingly estranged herself from her entire command element,” the investigation document into Gordon’s behavior states.

 

“The existing climate involving the Battalion Commander and her staff cannot be described as anything less than toxic and nonconducive to the efficient execution of the Battalion’s wartime mission,” the document reads. “Based on the above facts, I recommend that LTC Gordon be removed from the battle roster and relieved from command. I base this recommendation on the leadership deficiencies identified above, as well as the inability of LTC Gordon and… to function effectively as a command team,” one of the investigations concluded.

GOP blocks Schumer effort to adjourn Senate until after election

 

Republicans on Monday shot down an effort by Democratic Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) to adjourn the Senate until after the election, a move that would have effectively punted Judge Amy Coney Barrett's Supreme Court confirmation until after Nov. 3.

 

Schumer moved to adjourn the Senate until Nov. 9, with the caveat that if a coronavirus relief deal was reached by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin that they would return to vote.

 

"This is the most rushed, most partisan, least legitimate Supreme Court nomination process in our nation's history … and it should not proceed," Schumer said.

 

But Republicans in a 48-42 vote pigeonholed Schumer's request. The Senate is expected to come back into session on Tuesday.

 

"I'm glad we just voted down the motion by the Democratic leader to adjourn because we have work to do here, including the COVID-19 legislation which we need to be here to be working on. I'm glad that [the] adjournment motion was unsuccessful. Yes, we have to fill a vacancy on the Supreme Court," said Sen. Rob Portman (R-Ohio).

 

Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.) called Schumer's move a "temper tantrum."

 

Schumer's attempt to adjourn the Senate comes as Republicans are barreling toward a confirmation vote on to fill the Supreme Court vacancy early next week.

 

The Senate Judiciary Committee will vote on her nomination on Thursday afternoon, where they will need all 12 GOP senators on the panel present in order to have a quorum required to send nominations onto the full Senate. The committee rules also require two members of the minority to be present, though both sides have warned that Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) could change that rule.

 

McConnell has said that he will move to tee up her nomination on Friday. Republicans will set a new record for how close to a presidential election a Supreme Court nominee has been confirmed. While other nominees have been confirmed in a fewer number of days, those have been further away from Election Day.

 

"I look forward to the Judiciary Committee’s vote on Thursday. The full Senate will turn to Judge Barrett’s nomination as soon as it comes out of committee. I’ll be proud to vote to confirm this exceptional jurist," McConnell said from the Senate floor on Monday.

 

Democrats are under fierce pressure to use any procedural lever at their disposal to try to delay Barrett's nomination. Schumer previously invoked the "two-hour" rule to delay committee hearings after Republicans made it clear that they will fill the seat left vacant by the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg's death last month.

 

But Democrats are powerless to stop Barrett on their own. If every senator votes, they would need four Republican senators to vote no—a hurdle they acknowledge they do not expect to meet.

State Dept. sanctions Chinese, HK officials and entities for supporting Iran

 

The U.S. Department of State announced Monday afternoon that it has imposed sanctions on Chinese and Hong Kong officials and entities for supporting Iran‘s cargo shipping entity Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines (IRISL) and its subsidiary, Hafez Darya Arya Shipping Company (HDASCO). IRISL is critical to the regime’s ballistic missile, nuclear, and military programs.

 

The press release cites a United Nations resolution that affects IRISL in justifying these sanctions.

 

“A provision of UN Security Council Resolution 1929 mandates vigilance when doing business with IRISL and entities owned or controlled by IRISL under certain circumstances,” the press release says. “This provision is now in effect due to the snapback of UN sanctions.”

 

The sanctions are directed at six entities and two officials for conduct violating the aforementioned rule and that the State Department would carry these out in accordance with Section 1244 of the Iran Freedom and Counter-Proliferation Act enacted in June.

 

The entities receiving these sanctions are Reach Holding Group (Shanghai) Company Ltd.; Reach Shipping Lines; Delight Shipping Co., Ltd.; Gracious Shipping Co. Ltd.; Noble Shipping Co. Ltd.; and Supreme Shipping Co. Ltd. The press release claims that they all “knowingly sold, supplied, or transferred to Iran significant goods or services used in connection with the shipping sector of Iran.” The latter four, according to the State Department, “each knowingly sold, supplied, or transferred a large container vessel to Iran to be used in connection with the shipping sector of Iran.”

 

As for the two individuals, they are the CEOs of Reach Holding Group (Shanghai), Eric Chen, and the company’s president, Daniel Y. He.

 

This all follows the State Department on June 8 designating IRISL and E-Sail Shipping Company Ltd., IRISL’s Shanghai-based subsidiary, “for their proliferation-related conduct” and warning that any stakeholders who continue to be involved with these entities are “at risk of sanctions.”

 

Additionally, according to the State Department, Reach Holding and its subsidiary, Reach Shipping, “provided services to IRISL, E-Sail, and HDASCO to help these Iranian shipping entities evade the consequences of U.S. sanctions.”

 

The Department echoed their stern warning to stakeholders in these companies again at the end of the press release, saying: “Today, we reiterate a warning to stakeholders worldwide: If you do business with IRISL, you risk U.S. sanctions.”

Republican Senators push constitutional amendment to stop court-packing

 

Republican senators are pushing forward a constitutional amendment that mandates the Supreme Court only has nine justices, The Hill is reporting.

 

Sens. Ted Cruz (TX), Thom Tillis (NC), Martha McSally (AZ), Roger Wicker (MS), Kelly Loeffler (GA), and Cindy Hydesmith (MS) all signed onto the amendment.

 

The move comes as former Vice President and 2020 Democratic nominee for president Joe Biden refuses to answer whether he would “pack the court,” meaning add more than the traditional nine justices.

Most likely, this test would have been done by a nurse or doctor.

 

But you or a family member may have been given a device to do the finger prick test yourselves.

Identifying everyone who may be affected

We have reviewed all resident health records to identify anyone who may have had their blood glucose level tested while in quarantine accommodation.

 

This includes anyone who had a condition or episode that may have required their blood glucose level being tested – like if you fainted or felt generally unwell.

 

We are already contacting people by phone, or by letter if we can’t get through. You may be contacted by staff from the Department of Health and Human Services or Alfred Health, who are supporting this review.

 

For completeness, we will be writing to all other residents to alert them to this issue.

Uncooperative World Leaders Targeted For Removal As Early As November

In a sign of how intense the conflict now raging at the highest levels of world power has become Russian FSB, Asian secret society and Pentagon sources say serious moves behind the scenes are aiming to replace key world leaders in November.

House Republicans on Monday wrote to Attorney General William Barr, urging him to appoint a special counsel to investigate alleged revelations coming from a laptop purported to have belonged to Joe Biden’s son Hunter – specifically the elder Biden’s alleged participation in his son’s business dealings.

 

“These alleged revelations raise serious questions about former Vice President Joe Biden’s reported participation with his son’s business, dealings, specifically whether the former vice president (1) received foreign monies during his tenure in the Obama administration and (2) if former Vice President Biden allowed his son to peddle access to his father with foreign business entities,” the letter, obtained by Fox News, says.

 

The letter is signed by 11 Republicans, including Reps. Andy Biggs, R-Ariz., Paul Gosar, R-Ariz., Ted Yoho, R-Fla., and Andy Harris, R-Md.

 

The letter was written after the New York Post published emails last week suggesting that Hunter Biden introduced his father to a top executive at Ukrainian natural gas firm Burisma Holdings in 2015 – one year before the then-vice president allegedly pressured the country's government to fire a prosecutor who had launched an investigation into the company.

 

The Biden campaign has said that Joe Biden never met with that executive and has pushed back on the New York Post reporting.

 

“Investigations by the press, during impeachment, and even by two Republican-led Senate committees whose work was decried as 'not legitimate' and political by a GOP colleague have all reached the same conclusion: that Joe Biden carried out official U.S. policy toward Ukraine and engaged in no wrongdoing,” Biden campaign spokesman Andrew Bates said last week. “Trump administration officials have attested to these facts under oath.”

 

Another email published by the Post, dated May 13, 2017, and obtained by Fox News, includes a discussion of “remuneration packages” for six people in a business deal with a Chinese energy firm. The email appeared to identify Hunter Biden as “Chair / Vice Chair depending on agreement with CEFC,” in an apparent reference to now-bankrupt CEFC China Energy Co.

 

The email includes a note that states, “Hunter has some office expectations he will elaborate.” A proposed equity split references “20” for “H” and “10 held by H for the big guy?” with no further details. Fox News spoke to one of the people who was copied on the email, who confirmed its authenticity. Sources told Fox News that "the big guy" is a reference to the former vice president.

 

While Biden has not commented on that email, or his alleged involvement in any deals with the Chinese Energy firm, his campaign said it released the former vice president’s tax documents and returns, which do not reflect any involvement with Chinese investments.

=Dozens of Illegal Aliens Found Trapped in Train Cars In Texas

 

LAREDO, Texas – Overnight in two separate incidents within four hours of each other, U.S. Border Patrol agents from the Hebbronville Station rescued several individuals attempting to further their entry into the United States via dangerous train concealment methods west of Bruni, Texas.

 

The first incident occurred during the mid-evening of September 18, when agents conducting a routine freight train check, found 14 individuals trapped inside a grain-hopper-train car. Several hours later, during the early morning hours of October 19, agents discovered another 13 individuals trapped in another similar train car.

 

In both incidences, agents had to utilize a ladder to rescue the individuals from the enclosed and dangerous containers. None of the 27 individuals found in the cramped quarters were wearing personal protective equipment (PPE). All were medically evaluated and determined to be in the United States illegally from the countries of Mexico, Honduras, and Guatemala. They were taken into custody by the U.S. Border Patrol.

High Levels of Microplastics Released from Infant Feeding Bottles During Formula Prep

 

New research shows that high levels of microplastics (MPs) are released from infant-feeding bottles (IFBs) during formula preparation. The research also indicates a strong relationship between heat and MP release, such that warmer liquids (formula or water used to sterilise bottles) result in far greater release of MPs.

 

In response, the researchers involved – from AMBER, the SFI Research Centre for Advanced Materials and Bioengineering Research, TrinityHaus and the Schools of Engineering and Chemistry at Trinity College Dublin – have developed a set of recommendations for infant formula preparation when using plastic IFBs that minimise MP release.

 

Led by Dr Jing Jing Wang, Professor John Boland and Professor Liwen Xiao at Trinity, the team analysed the potential for release of MPs from polypropylene infant-feeding bottles (PP-IFBs) during formula preparation by following international guidelines. They also estimated the exposure of 12-month-old infants to MPs in 48 countries and regions and have just published their findings in the high-profile journal Nature Food.

 

Key findings

 

PP-IFBs can release up to 16 million MPs and trillions of smaller nanoplastics per litre. Sterilisation and exposure to high temperature water significantly increase microplastic release from 0.6 million to 55 million particles/l when temperature increases from 25 to 95 °C

Other polypropylene plastic-ware products (kettles, lunchboxes) release similar levels of MPs

The team undertook a global survey and estimated the exposure of 12-month-old infants to microplastics in 48 regions. Following current guidelines1 for infant-feeding bottle sterilisation and feeding formula preparation the average daily exposure level for infants is in excess of 1 million MPs. Oceania, North America and Europe have the highest levels of potential exposure, at 2,100,000, 2,280,000, and 2,610,000 particles/day, respectively

The level of microplastics released from PP-IFBs can be significantly reduced by following modified sterilisation and formula preparation procedures

 

Recommended sterilisation and formula preparation procedures

 

Sterilising infant feeding bottles

Sterilise the bottle following WHO recommended guidelines and allow to cool

Prepare sterilised water by boiling in a non-plastic kettle/cooker (e.g. glass or stainless steel)

Rinse the sterilised bottle using room temperature sterilised water at least 3 times

 

Preparing infant formula

 

Prepare hot water using a non-plastic kettle/cooker

Prepare infant formula in a non-plastic container using at least 70oC water. Cool to room temperature and transfer prepared formula into a high-quality plastic infant feeding bottle

 

Standard Precautions

 

Do not reheat prepared formula in plastic containers and avoid microwave ovens

Do not vigorously shake the formula in the bottle at any time

Do not use sonication to clean plastic infant feeding bottles

There is growing evidence to suggest that micro2 and nano plastics are released into our food and water sources through the chemical and physical degradation of larger plastic items. Some studies have demonstrated the potential transfer of micro and nano plastics from oceans to humans via the food chain3 but little is known about the direct release of microplastics (MPs) from plastic products through everyday use.

 

Polypropylene (PP) is one of the most commonly produced plastics in the world for food preparation and storage. It is used to make everyday items such as lunch boxes, kettles and infant-feeding bottles (IFBs). Despite its widespread use the capacity of PP to release microplastics was not appreciated until now.

It seems in our complicated world many murky relationships develop that come across as inappropriate. Over the years, growing crony capitalism has become the bane of modern society and added greatly to inequality. This is why, when we look at Hunter Biden and how he benefited from his father's role as Vice President an investigation is in order. Even before we get to what happened in Ukraine, the ties between China and the Biden family are too many and too large to ignore. President Trump has received a lot of criticism related to how he gained his wealth, however, almost all of what Trump has done he did as an outsider and not as part of the ruling political class.

 

Before going deeper into this subject it is very important to look at how the "Biden revelations" are being handled by the media. The way media has handled these allegations reveal a flaw or bias in both mainstream media and social media to the point where even censorship is being deployed. A good example of the spin being put on this red flag of corruption can be seen in an article that appeared under trending stories on my city's main news outlet. Here in the conservation heartland of America, the media published a piece titled; "Biden email episode illustrates risk to Trump from Giuliani"

 

The Associated Press piece written by Eric Tucker shines the spotlight on Rudy Giuliani portraying him as the messenger of Russian contrived information aimed at damaging Biden and influencing the election. It starts off referring to "a New York tabloid’s puzzling account about how it acquired emails purportedly from Joe Biden’s son has raised some red flags." Then claims that during Giuliani's travels abroad looking for dirt on the Bidens he developed relationships with some rather questionable figures. These include a Ukrainian lawmaker who U.S. officials have described as a Russian agent and part of a broader Russian effort to denigrate the Democratic presidential nominee.

 

The piece then moves on to the area of how the FBI seems more interested in the emails as part of a foreign influence operation than wrongdoing by Hunter or his father. The people reading this article are informed how this is just another latest episode involving Giuliani that "underscores the risk he poses to the White House" which has spent years dealing with a federal investigation into whether Trump associates had coordinated with Russia.

 

The part of the article that got my goat was when it referred to how " The Washington Post reported Thursday that intelligence agencies had warned the White House last year that Giuliani was the target of a Russian influence operation." Sighting the Washington Post as an authority and bastion of truth is a common tactic used by journalists to add validity to their bias and lazy reporting. Tucker forgot to mention The Washington Post is the propaganda mouthpiece of Amazon and owned by its CEO Jeff Bezos the richest man in the world which has had several run-ins with the President.

The reason we haven't had arrests is because POTUS still needs to push in more District Court judges that will actually hear the cases. There's 33 nominees left to be confirmed, and a total of 56 vacancies left. But we've almost cleaned out the FBI. The corrupt indviduals left there are:

Chris Wray should step up and do what the FBI should have done in 2016. Joe Biden should be declared a security risk should he win the Presidency. It is clear, beyond any shadow of a doubt, that any foreign enemy OR entity could use the compromising material found on Hunter's laptop to leverage a President Biden Six Ways from Sunday.

 

Moreover, the FBI has been in possession of this material for over a year yet did nothing with it. I've struggled to get YT videos downloaded since we began this project in 2017. The 'free' online downloaders try to install malware, are slow and sometimes fail completely.

 

I gave up trying to download Millie Weaver's Shadowgate 2.0 and spent about 6 hours testing various products.

 

I'm now happily using Softorino. https://softorino.com/

 

I leave it running on my desktop. When I click on a YT video and use the share/watch later and click Copy, Softorino rings the bell to tell me that it has the video link.

 

I can then go and click to download it. It ends up in my Downloads folder.

 

I wish I'd had this when we started. I'm not advertising - just sharing. I just paid $19.95 for a full year of use.

 

Once the mp4 is in the downloads folder, I move it to the archive disk and folder as appropriate.
