Porn industry has always scouted young people; especially females. Look at Traci Lords' story, for example. Nowadays, you have underage kids with unfettered access to the web, and through channels over social media, many of them start their onlyfans pages when they are 14, 15 - Hell, even younger. For every 1 Traci Lords back in the 70s/80s, you have 50-100 of them all over the world. In places like Ukraine, models start in childhood, and produce actual CP. When they "age out", they hit up places like metart, joymii, or those outfits to keep paying bills.

 

The culmination of all this leads to conversations regarding sex and age appropriateness. You'll never get everyone to agree on AOC laws. In the meantime, you're going to have predators and young people engaging in things that are going to constantly push societal boundaries until it's common knowledge that most of the "amateur" porn content you see is that of minors. Look at what PornHub did. Someone squeezed Mastercard and Visa, and now any content that's "unverified" is gone. Too many unverifiable uploads to sift through them all. Think about the totality of that. There was so much undecipherable content, that they had to simply draw a line between legal/illicit using verified/unverified accounts. How many people picked up on the significance of that?

That was a "shocker!"; at least enough to get the public's attention.

 

That iceberg meme showing the "real" depth of the internet? It's almost a parallel to the child trafficking networks, which sometimes overlap the drug networks, which sometimes overlap the ABCs, which are the financial backers for most of the evil in the world. Yes, it's that bad, and it's so much that it's seeping into the clearnet and numbing people to the real operating going on in much deeper/darker places in the world.

If you follow the firearms industry even slightly, you know that gun laws are continually changing. Every year, senators, members of Congress, and local government pass new legislation barring the use of or the purchase of some types of firearm, accessory, or magazine. How is one to keep up with the never-ending change? What about lowers? Are 80% lowers legal? In most states, yes.

What is an 80% Lower?

 

First, before we dive into the legalities of 80% lowers, let’s determine precisely what an 80 lower is or isn’t.

 

To put it plainly, an 80% lower is a receiver blank. It is not legally a firearm β€” more of a hunk of metal β€” because the key components have not yet been drilled. The drilling is up to you. Once you receive your new lower, your job is to cut and drill the blank until it becomes a stripped lower receiver. Once you are done, you will have it all β€” safety pinholes, trigger, and more.

 

Are 80% Lowers Legal?

 

Yes, absolutely. As a receiver blank is technically not a firearm, it is legal to purchase and own in most states. That being said, some states do have restrictions regarding β€œghost guns” or 80% firearms.

 

New Jersey β€” Though receiver blanks are not firearms, New Jersey A.G. Gurbir Grewal demanded firearm retailers stop selling 80% lowers and β€œghost guns.” He threatened fines and legal action to those who sold or own any.

Washington β€” Washington recently passed House Bill 1739, which bans the sale of β€œundetectable firearms” or β€œghost guns.” You cannot purchase, own, or construct an 80% polymer lower in the state. However, you may buy aluminum lowers.

New York β€” In September 2019, the New York Attorney General submitted numerous Cease and Desist letters to retailers and manufacturers selling 80% lowers and kits. He claimed these products were illegal. Since then, New York has followed California in banning fixed magazines from AR-15s.

California β€” California allows 80% lowers and receiver blanks. However, before constructing an 80% AR-15 from a blank, California residents must apply for a serial number for their firearm via the California Department of Justice. This requirement stems from A.B.857, a bill that went into effect on July 1st, 2018.

Connecticut β€” Connecticut passed Substitute House Bill No. 7219, Public Act No. 19-6, effectively banning the shipment and ownership of 80% lowers and receiver blanks.

 

Do I Require an FFL?

 

No, an FFL is not required to purchase an 80% lower or build an AR-15 from a receiver blank. As the blank is not yet considered a firearm, it does not follow the same rules and regulations set forth by the ATF (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives).

 

Do I Need a Serial Number On My 80% Lower?

 

Again, no, not in most states. According to federal law, an 80% lower does not require a unique serial number, even if you finish constructing an AR-15 from the blank.

In some states, such as California, they require you to serialize your firearm’s receiver. You’ll want to check local and state laws before finishing your build.

Can I Sell An 80% AR-15?

 

You cannot construct an 80% AR-15 intending to sell, according to the ATF, if you build a firearm intending to sell to the public, you become a manufacturer. At that point, you must become a licensed FFL.

 

However, if you own your AR-15 for some time, but later on decide to sell, that’s okay. Simply put, do not buy many receiver blanks, finish the build, then sell them to your neighbors or the general public. The ATF will crack down on you quickly, and they won’t be kind enough to issue a warning. You will probably walk away in handcuffs.

Other Types of 80% Frames

 

While most legislation focuses on the AR-15 β€” the boogeymen of firearms β€” it’s not uncommon for DIY types to construct their own 1911, Glock, or Sig Sauer P320. You can find 80% frames, or blanks, for each one of these.

 

We fully expect more models to become available as 80% frames, especially as the market continues to grow across the country.

 

If you’re at all concerned with the legalities of owning or building an 80% firearm, you’ve done well by researching the topic. Do yourself a favor and double-check local and state laws before you wind up on an ATF list.

 

Here is what the ATF says about 80% lowers

Are β€œ80%” or β€œunfinished” receivers illegal?

 

Receiver blanks that do not meet the definition of a "firearm" are not subject to regulation under the Gun Control Act (GCA). ATF has long held that items such as receiver blanks, "castings" or "machined bodies" in which the fire-control cavity area is completely solid and un-machined have not reached the "stage of manufacture" which would result in the classification of a firearm according to the GCA.

 

The following three photos are provided as examples. The first receiver has a solid, un-machined fire-control cavity area with no holes or dimples for the selector, trigger, or hammer pins. It does not meet the GCA definition of a firearm. The second receiver, shown from the top, likewise has a solid, un-machined fire-control cavity area. It does not meet the GCA definition of a firearm. The third receiver has a partially machined fire-control cavity and does meet the GCA definition of a firearm.

Roughly 8 years ago the Scientific American had an article about this. Many of the casinos in Vegas were going full solar because they wanted to be self sufficient. This was putting a dent in the income of the utility companies who needed to sustain their incomes, to maintain their plants. It was ruled that the Casinos would have to continue to pay to maintain the electric plants in spite of their solar panels.

 

In the same magazine an article about the failure of solar somewhere in Hawaii. I guess Hawaii uses oil to generate electricity and the environmentalists did not like this. So they came up with solar panels and battery powered back ups. It worked for a week or so, but then they had a cloudy period and the demand on the grid melted the battery banks. So they had to switch back to solar.

 

Wind/Solar and such are great ways of producing electricity… but without a back up they are useless in comparison to Coal/Oil/Natural Gas. They talk about storing the energy from "green" methods but I have yet to see them in actual practice… because they are not practical. If they were practical we would see them all over the place.

 

So that makes solar panels and wind generators huge wastes of money and an increased tax on the environment. Why any of that green energy has moved forward to the extent it has is mind boggling and should have never happened.

Former NFL wide receiver Vincent Jackson was found dead Monday in a hotel room in Brandon, Florida, officials said.

 

The 38-year-old had been staying at the Homewood Suites in Brandon, about 12 miles outside Tampa, since January 11, according to a news release from the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

 

Sheriff's Office officials said they spoke with Jackson's family members on February 10, after they had called to report that he was missing. A formal report was filed the following day.

Christopher Rufo, a contributing editor at the City Journal, detailed the alleged activities β€” which he says were outlined by whistleblower documents β€” and said that he spoke with a school source that corroborated the details.

 

Students at William D. Kelley School were reportedly exposed to the playacting through a social studies class that praised Davis β€” "the 'black communist'" β€” for her fight against "injustice and inequality."

 

Students, according to Rufo's report, were also told to pretend they were participating in a rally to free Davis, who was once jailed β€” and later freed β€” on charges of murder and more.

 

"As part of the lesson, the teacher asked students to 'describe Davis' early life,' reflect on her vision of social change, and 'define communist' β€” presumably in favorable terms," Rufo wrote for the City Journal. "At the conclusion of the unit, the teacher led the ten- and eleven-year-old students into the auditorium to 'simulate' a Black Power rally to 'free Angela Davis from prison, where she had once been held while awaiting trial on charges of conspiracy, kidnapping and murder."

 

The children, according to the outlet, were then directed to march around the state holding a variety of signs that read "Black Power," "Jail Trump," "Free Angela," and "Black Power Matters."

 

"They chanted about Africa and ancestral power, then shouted 'Free Angela! Free Angela!' as they stood at the front of the stage," Rufo added.

 

The outlet also points out the school's apparent penchant for political radicalism, and points to the school's "newest public artworks" β€” mural commissions of Davis and Communist and Black Panther revolutionary Huey P. Newton β€” as proof of politicization.

 

Rufo wrote, "One teacher at William Kelley, who requested anonymity out of fear of reprisals, expressed deep pessimism about the future of public education: 'I've come to realize that no policy hurts African-Americans more than the public school system and the teachers' union.'"

 

The Daily Caller also reported on the allegations, and noted that the district did not respond to its request for comment in time for publication.

Active-duty troops to administer vaccines in Texas, New York and Virgin Islands

 

Thousands of active-duty troops are on standby to deploy around the country to Federal Emergency Management Agency COVID-19 vaccination sites, with a plan to bring millions of additional doses to some of the hardest-hit regions.

 

In addition to sites currently running in Los Angeles and Oakland, Calif., the head of the U.S. Northern Command told reporters Tuesday, multiple sites are due to stand up in the next week or so in Texas and New York, followed by more in the Virgin Islands by early March.

 

Several hundred are on the ground now in California, but up to 3,700 have been β€œallocated to prepared to deploy,” Air Force Gen. Glen Vanherck said. β€œThey have not been given a tasking to deploy.”

 

Troops from four services will man vaccine sites, which will be federally supported and receive vaccine doses separate from each state’s allocation.

 

By Feb. 24, Vanherck said, there will be an Air Force team in Houston, an Army-Marine Corps team in Dallas, a Navy team in Queens, N.Y., and an Air Force team in Brooklyn, N.Y.

 

Each team will be made of medics to administer vaccines, support staff to screen recipients before and monitor or adverse reactions afterward, as well as nurse supervisors to oversee each site.

 

NORTHCOM has requested up to 100 teams in total, half of which will have 139 personnel, the other half 222, able to administer 3,000 or 6,000 doses a day, respectively, Vanherck said.

 

If all 100 sites come online, they could be administering more than 400,000 doses a day, according to Robert Fenton, the senior official performing the duties of FEMA director.

 

The Biden administration announced Tuesday it would distribute more than 13 million doses in the last week of February, continuing to strive for 100 million doses within President Joe Biden’s first 100 days in office.

McConnell’s dedication to business as usual, status quo policies, together with his lack of political insight, wisdom, skill, and personality, has rapidly driven him from Majority Leader to Minority Leader, and it will only get worse. The Democrats and Chuck Schumer play McConnell like a fiddleβ€”they’ve never had it so goodβ€”and they want to keep it that way! We know our America First agenda is a winner, not McConnell’s Beltway First agenda or Biden’s America Last.

 

In 2020, I received the most votes of any sitting President in history, almost 75,000,000. Every incumbent House Republican won for the first time in decades, and we flipped 15 seats, almost costing Nancy Pelosi her job. Republicans won majorities in at least 59 of the 98 partisan legislative chambers, and the Democrats failed to flip a single legislative chamber from red to blue. And in β€œMitch’s Senate,” over the last two election cycles, I single-handedly saved at least 12 Senate seats, more than eight in the 2020 cycle aloneβ€”and then came the Georgia disaster, where we should have won both U.S. Senate seats, but McConnell matched the Democrat offer of $2,000 stimulus checks with $600. How does that work? It became the Democrats’ principal advertisement, and a big winner for them it was. McConnell then put himself, one of the most unpopular politicians in the United States, into the advertisements. Many Republicans in Georgia voted Democrat, or just didn’t vote, because of their anguish at their inept Governor, Brian Kemp, Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, and the Republican Party, for not doing its job on Election Integrity during the 2020 Presidential race.

 

It was a complete election disaster in Georgia, and certain other swing states. McConnell did nothing, and will never do what needs to be done in order to secure a fair and just electoral system into the future. He doesn’t have what it takes, never did, and never will.

 

My only regret is that McConnell β€œbegged” for my strong support and endorsement before the great people of Kentucky in the 2020 election, and I gave it to him. He went from one point down to 20 points up, and won. How quickly he forgets. Without my endorsement, McConnell would have lost, and lost badly. Now, his numbers are lower than ever before, he is destroying the Republican side of the Senate, and in so doing, seriously hurting our Country.

 

Likewise, McConnell has no credibility on China because of his family’s substantial Chinese business holdings. He does nothing on this tremendous economic and military threat.

 

Mitch is a dour, sullen, and unsmiling political hack, and if Republican Senators are going to stay with him, they will not win again. He will never do what needs to be done, or what is right for our Country. Where necessary and appropriate, I will back primary rivals who espouse Making America Great Again and our policy of America First. We want brilliant, strong, thoughtful, and compassionate leadership.

 

Prior to the pandemic, we produced the greatest economy and jobs numbers in the history of our Country, and likewise, our economic recovery after Covid was the best in the world. We cut taxes and regulations, rebuilt our military, took care of our Vets, became energy independent, built the wall and stopped the massive inflow of illegals into our Country, and so much more. And now, illegals are pouring in, pipelines are being stopped, taxes will be going up, and we will no longer be energy independent.

Far from indulging in apocalyptic visions of cosmic destruction, mining company executives like Bob Goldstein of US Nuclear Corp. were seeing dollar signs. Somewhere in the ballpark of $10,000 quadrillion of them in fact.

 

Goldstein and others in the resource extraction industry have been salivating over these otherworldly mineral prizes ever since Barack Obama signed the U.S. Commercial Space Launch Competitiveness Act into law, which grants U.S. citizens the right to own resources mined in space. The bill, introduced and co-sponsored exclusively by Republican Congressmen, was passed by a unanimous vote in 2015.

 

Praised as a β€œlandmark for American leadership in space exploration” by Congressman Bill Posey (R-FL), the Space Act of 2015, as it is also known, has elicited all manner of effusive reactions from private sector space industry giants like Planetary Resources, which had already struck a deal with Bechtel Corporation in 2013 to mine asteroids. Planetary co-founder Eric Anderson declared that the legislation was nothing less than a β€œmajor step toward humanity becoming a multiplanetary species.”

 

Despite the Neil Armstrong-esque displays by both private and public sector players, the recent inclusion of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) into the conversation has many on the international space policy side of the equation worried.

NOM4D

 

The Novel Orbital and Moon Manufacturing, Materials and Mass-efficient Design (NOM4D) program announced by DARPA on February 5 β€œseeks to pioneer technologies for adaptive, off-earth manufacturing to produce large space and lunar structures,” according to the agency’s press release.

 

The language used to describe the program has sparked heated debate over whether or not NOM4D will violate Article IV of the United Nations Outer Space Treaty (OST), which prohibits the β€œestablishment of military bases, installations and fortifications” anywhere on the lunar surface or cislunar orbit (between the earth and the moon).

 

Chris Johnson, legal counsel of the Secure World Foundation – a private foundation that promotes space sustainability – clarified some of the ambiguity surrounding the debate in an email to Breaking Defense, stating that β€œIf DARPA (or its contractors) are conducting activities on the Moon which are temporarily peaceful in nature, […] this is still a MILITARY activity, and therefore pretty clearly prohibited.”

 

NOM4D program director manager Bill Carter dismisses such concerns, claiming to be β€œslightly baffled” by the controversy, asserting that the project is β€œa materials science program. We’re going to be doing stuff on the ground β€” we actually don’t have any plans to launch anything.”

 

Carter, a materials scientist, elaborated about the areas of focus and highlighted the program’s interest in β€œthe capabilities of materials that I extract from regolith as they apply to things [like] reflective surfaces and so forth,” which β€œcould be important for Earth observation or situation awareness, all those things.”

 

The validity of Carter’s arguments notwithstanding, his mention of regolith in particular buttresses Johnson’s concerns. The β€œdust-like material that covers the lunar surface” is considered a prime resource for the eventual construction of moon bases. Something of a generic term used to describe the layer of β€œclays, silicates, various minerals, groundwater, and organic molecules” that form on the surface of solid rock, lunar regolith, by contrast, has its own unique composition.

 

As Johnson says, while β€œit may be possible for someone to offer a tortured argument as to how this is not explicitly illegal β€” either through de-linking the activity from the US military through intermediaries, or separating activities from the lunar surface and surrounding deep space, or painting the military activity as peaceful in nature,” he β€œwould not be buying it.”
