Italy Launches Manslaughter Investigation As Teacher Dies Hours After Getting AstraZeneca Jab

by Tyler Durden - Tuesday, Mar 16, 2021 - 10:00 AM

After law-enforcement authorities in Sicily and Piedmont seized batches of the AstraZeneca COVID jab, prosecutors in the EU's third-largest economy have launched a manslaughter investigation after a music teacher died just hours after receiving the jab.

According to Italian-language media outlets, 57-year-old Sandro Tognatti died after receiving the jab in his hometown of Biella on Saturday afternoon. He soon developed a high fever, but went to bed anyway, he his wife, Simona Riussi, told the Italian press.

The next morning, Riussi awoke to find Tognatti dead. She called an ambulance, but Tognatti was already dead. Prosecutors in Piedmont officially launched the investigation later in the day. As we mentioned above, prosecutors also seized a batch with nearly 400K jabs in it.

So far, health authorities have insisted that there's no link between the jab and Tognatti's death. Officials said a criminal investigation was launched to be "completely sure" that the man's death "cannot be attributed to the above-mentioned inoculation".

Italy, France, Germany and a handful of other nations temporarily suspended the AstraZeneca vaccine after reports of patients developing deadly blood clots surfaced. Deaths were reported in Austria and elsewhere, which prompted Denmark, Iceland and other nations (as far away as Thailand) to halt the jabs to allow for a brief investigation. AstraZeneca and the EMA (Europe's top regulatory authority) have insisted that there's nothing to suggest a link between the jabs and heightened risk for blood clots, but in a press conference Tuesday morning, the agency promised to investigate.

Among the more than 11M Italians who have already been vaccinated, Italian authorities have documented at least 15 cases of blood clots and 22 cases of pulmonary embolis among those who have received the jabs.

Myanmar coup latest: EU sanctions said to be coming Monday

Wednesday, March 17

4:00 a.m. A foundation linked to billionaire philanthropist George Soros calls on the authorities in Myanmar to release a staff member detained there. "We call for her immediate release. We are alarmed by reports that authorities are seeking to interrogate other staff members," the Open Society Foundations says. Myanmar authorities suspect that the staff member, along with 11 other employees it is seeking, transferred funds to coup opponents. "Claims of financial misconduct, including that OSM [Open Society Myanmar] acted illegally by withdrawing their own funds in local currency from the SMID bank, are false," the OSF says.

1:30 a.m. The Myanmar military will try criminal cases in areas of the nation's largest city under martial law, with sentences up to death or "unlimited years" in prison at hard labor, a state-owned newspaper reports. The junta fleshes out martial law orders imposed this week on six townships in Yangon The senior military commander in charge of the city has been handed full administrative and judicial powers.Twenty-threecriminal offenses will be tried before military tribunals. These include "high treason," sedition, violating media laws and spreading news the military deems "false." Read more.

HSBC in talks to sell French retail banking to Cerberus

HSBC has entered final negotiations to sell its French retail banking business to private equity firm Cerberus, a source familiar with the matter said on Wednesday. The planned disposal is part of HSBC Chief Executive Noel Quinn’s strategy to slash costs across the banking group and Reuters previously reported that Cerberus was among two remaining bidders.

The talks are conditional on price and terms and may not necessarily result in a sale, the source told Reuters. A spokeswoman for HSBC declined to comment, while Cerberus could not immediately be reached for comment. HSBC is working with Lazard to sell its 270 retail branches in France, but has been struggling to attract interest as bidders fret over restructuring costs and complex talks with local regulators, Reuters reported last September.

Any sale could involve a token price, with HSBC having to plough in some 500 million euros ($595 million) to finance the necessary restructuring, Reuters previously reported.

Audi has stopped the development of new combustion engines. In an interview, Audi CEO Markus Duesmann justified the decision with the EU plans for a stricter Euro 7 emissions standard.

In an interview with the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Duesmann said: “We will no longer develop a new combustion engine, but will adapt our existing combustion engines to new emission guidelines.” The plans for the Euro 7 standard are “technically a huge challenge with at the same time little benefit for the environment”. “This places extreme restrictions on the internal combustion engine,” Duesmann said.

Duesmann did not specify a date as to when Audi would sell the last new car with an internal combustion engine. Instead, the Audi CEO referred to regions of the world where energy supply and charging infrastructure are less well developed. For this reason, Audi will continue to sell combustion engines for many years to come, but will not develop a completely new generation of petrol or diesel engines.

Dem Rep. Sanchez: Not ‘Appropriate’ for Journalists to See Inside Border Facilities Holding Children

Representative Linda Sanchez (D-CA) Thursday on CNN’s “Newsroom” that it was not appropriate for journalists to be inside centers that are housing the surge of unaccompanied children crossing the U.S.-Mexico border.

Anchor Poppy Harlow asked, “My last question is so transparency … All of our reporters down there have been asking nonstop to get into these facilities where Alejandro Mayorkas said are not meant for children. Are you concerned over the lack of transparency?”

Sanchez said, “I will tell you under the Trump administration, members of Congress were not allowed inside these facilities.”

Harlow interjected, “But that doesn’t mean anything now, respectfully congresswoman. Clearly, you were upset about that lack of transparency. Are you concerned about this lack of transparency?”

Sanchez said, “Sure. Well, again, when you ever have the numbers and the facilities appropriate for children, but because of COVID protocols, you have to have social distancing. So they are trying to process children as quickly as they can, and, no, these detention facilities at the border were not meant for children. Children are meant to be in licensed facilities. But because of the numbers and because of the social distancing that is required, they are doing the best that they can. I don’t necessarily think that it is appropriate for journalists to be inside centers that are not permanent places for children, that children are not placed there permanently. They are processed out of those facilities as quickly as possible and as quickly as the facilities will allow.”

Harlow pressed, “Some of them are being held there longer than they are legally supposed to be.”

Sanchez said, “They are doing the best they can under COVID protocols. If it were not a pandemic, I would totally understand the concern, but we’re dealing in a unique set of circumstances that are unprecedented. You can’t fault an administration that is doing everything humanly possible to treat these kids in a humane way given the limitations that they have because of COVID.”

Italy guaranteed 86 mln euro Greensill loan to Gupta steel arm, filing says

The Italian government guaranteed an 86 million euros ($102 million) loan from Greensill Bank, part of the collapsed Greensill Capital group, to one of steel magnate Sanjeev Gupta’s firms, according to accounts filed with the Italian corporate registry in recent weeks.

The firm, Liberty Magona SRL, secured a guarantee from SACE SpA, Italy’s state-controlled export credit agency, for the loan under measures to help companies navigate the coronavirus crisis, according to Liberty Magona’s accounts for a period from Jan. 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020 which include information on material post-yearend events. Piombino-based Liberty Magona, which makes galvanized steel, said the three-year loan was taken out in late August last year to strengthen its finances at a time when it was facing weaker demand for its products due to the pandemic. The Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance did not immediately respond to a request for comment. GFG Alliance and Greensill declined to comment on the loan. The German financial regulator has filed a criminal complaint against Bremen-based Greensill Bank.

Greensill Capital group filed for bankruptcy protection in Britain and Australia this month, citing a $5 billion exposure to Indian-British businessman Gupta’s GFG Alliance. It said Gupta’s firms had begun to default on its obligations. GFG, an umbrella company for Gupta’s network of steel, aluminium and energy companies, said last week it was looking to secure additional working capital facilities to help it weather challenging market conditions but was also operationally strong and benefiting from buoyant steel markets. GFG Alliance employs 35,000 people across 30 countries, according to its website. In Britain, the opposition Labour Party has said the government should consider nationalising the company if it cannot secure the financial backing it is trying to attract. Italy is not the only country to have provided guarantees to Gupta’s firms. The Scottish government gave a 575 million pound guarantee to the group in 2016, Reuters reported in 2019, citing people familiar with the matter.

UK media have reported that the London government has also guaranteed hundreds of millions of loans to GFG Alliance or connected companies under Coronavirus loan schemes.

U.S. GOVT LOSES LANDMARK VACCINE LAWSUIT

Forced vaccinations now can be legally stopped-no quality control for 32 years

Case 1:18-cv-03215-JMF Document 18 Filed 07/09/18

Vaccine injury lawyer Robert F. Kennedy Jr.,& Del Bigtree, producer of the suppressed anti-vaccine documentary, Vaxxed and the Informed Consent Action Network (ICAN) are credited with this victory. They demanded the relevant government documents proving that all federally approved vaccines had been tested for quality over the past 32 years — and there were none.

Here are the huge legal and practical implications in this legal victory for the American people:

  • This means that the US Department of Health and Human Services and all vaccine makers have been lying to the American people for over 30 years about the effectiveness and safety of vaccines; this may

ultimately mean that continuing the existence — at least in their current form — of five US “healthcare” agencies are now in doubt: the CDC, the FDA, the IOM, the NIH and the “Health” part of DHHS itself;

this may also threaten the existence of state medical boards and exclusive medical guilds like the AMA:

  • This means that vaccine makers have been fraudulently exempt from what all other pharmaceutical drug makers have been forced to do concerning biannual recertification for quality and effectiveness — meaning that that their vaccines have never been tested for quality and have had no proven safety or effectiveness for over 30 years;

  • This case can now be legally cited by all parents fraudulently mandated by any government/organizational regulation/requirements that they must vaccinate their children for school or any other activity to stop

the forced vaccination of their children;

  • This case can now be legally cited by all employees being mandated by their employers to be vaccinated in order to retain their jobs;

  • This case can now be legally cited by all those who seek compensation for vaccine injury, making it likely that the pharmacidical vaccine industry can in the near future be legally bankrupted out of existence, like Bayer-Monsanto after the landmark legal victory won by the dying landscaper in San Francisco several weeks ago, as well as their stock value plummeting precipitously;

  • The future of allopathic medicine in its current form is now in doubt, as well as that of the global pharmacidical cartel, since almost all of the drugs allopathic practitioners prescribe come from pharmacidical corporations which have also committed vaccine fraud and injury;

  • The existence of the deep-state corporate mainstream news media will now also be further endangered, since 70% of their income stream comes from the global pharmacidical cartel, which in America has been

responsible for 750,000-1 million human sacrifices per year for at least the past half century;

  • Autism rates will now likely plummet, freeing the American people from another deep state-engineered debility, and providing further evidence of mass vaccination-caused autism;

  • All government officials who have passed laws legalizing vaccine fraud at the state, national, or international level, or otherwise aided and abetted this vaccine fraud can now be charged with vaccine fraud, criminal malfeasance and in some cases, war crimes under the Nuremberg Code.

AstraZeneca Admits Vaccine Efficacy Based On "Interim" Data, Vows To Release Update Within 48 Hours

by Tyler Durden

Tuesday, Mar 23, 2021

Update (0800ET): As the media (and the rest of the world) tries to figure out what exactly is going on with the AstraZeneca trial data, and whether the vaccine's ability to protect the population from COVID truly does outweigh the risks, the company has just released a statement promising to release up-to-date results from the final phase of the trial within 48 hours.

AZ said yesterday's trial conclusions were based on an "interim analysis" with all data received by the cutoff date of Feb. 17. Then, it promised to "immediately engage with the independent data safety monitoring board to share our primary analysis with the most up to date efficacy data." Results of this primary analysis will be available within 2 days.

The numbers published yesterday were based on a pre-specified interim analysis with a data cut-off of 17 February.

We have reviewed the preliminary assessment of the primary analysis and the results were consistent with the interim analysis. We are now completing the validation of the statistical analysis.

We will immediately engage with the independent data safety monitoring board (DSMB) to share our primary analysis with the most up to date efficacy data.

We intend to issue results of the primary analysis within 48 hours.

More academics complained about the optics of the situation.

"The last thing this vaccine needs is more concern when we kind of thought we were at that point now where we would put to bed all the other concerns," said Paul Griffin, an associate professor of medicine at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, who is conducting clinical studies in Australia on four Covid-19 vaccine candidates.

And reporters complained that AstraZeneca's explanation, and the whole back-and-forth between Astra and the NIH, seemed bizarre.

This is a truly bizarre situation. NIAID says the data safety monitoring board for AZ’s #covid19 vaccine trial notified it that it was concerned AZ included outdated efficacy information in its release yesterday. No further details. (1) pic.twitter.com/Q8X66wdzuK

— Meg Tirrell (@megtirrell) March 23, 2021

In statement just out, AstraZeneca says yesterday’s update was based on interim analysis with cutoff Feb 17, and it will provide primary analysis without 48 hours: https://t.co/0NEz10EbeJ pic.twitter.com/K32F9mphnW

— Meg Tirrell (@megtirrell) March 23, 2021

The efficacy rate in the US trial was stronger than the 70% figure AstraZeneca reported from an earlier study. But those data were an average of different readings (62% and 90%) from two separate arms of the study. Bottom line: Whatever the 'final' efficacy number is, it should probably be taken with a grain of salt.

To that point, Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nominal head of the NIAID, insisted that, in all likelihood, the AstraZeneca jab is "very likely a very good" vaccine. This is presumably just another in a seemingly endless stream of hiccups.

*FAUCI ON ASTRAZENECA: THIS IS VERY LIKELY A VERY GOOD VACCINE

Translation: stick a fork in it

— zerohedge (@zerohedge) March 23, 2021

Translation: the US will follow through with plans to approve the AstraZeneca jab (after a notably lengthy delay) - but turn around and give all the AZ jabs it has on hand to Mexico and other governments.

Pretty soon, maybe AstraZeneca can stop blaming European governments for stoking skepticism about the company's COVID jab, and start blaming the US (or maybe the drugmaking giant might consider accepting some responsibility, considering the reaction to rare blood clots isn't the first safety issue to mar the jabs reputation).

One day after proclaiming to the world that an extremely thorough and credible study based in the US (but carried out both in the US and across South America) had shown its jab to be 79% effective at preventing COVID (and 100% effective at preventing serious cases of the virus-caused disease) US officials are slamming the drug company and the data for possibly misrepresenting the vaccine's efficacy.

Earlier Tuesday morning, US officials issued an unusual statement expressing concerns the company had included "outdated information" from its study and that it may have provided "an incomplete view of the efficacy data." The concern, according to the Data and Safety Monitoring Board (the group responsible for overseeing trials of new medication and vaccines), is that the report included "outdated information" which may have provided "an incomplete view" of the efficacy data.

From the US:

Parler Just Flipped Big Tech's Jan 6th Conspiracy Theory On Its Head

by Tyler Durden

Mar 26, 2021

Authored by Tyler O'Neil via PJMedia.com

In the days after the Capitol riot on January 6, 2021, Big Tech moved against a conservative alternative social media platform, Parler, based on the premise that the rioters has used Parler to plan the attack on the Capitol and that Parler had failed in its responsibility to prevent such coordination. Based on this narrative, Apple and Google removed Parler from their app stores and Amazon removed Parler’s internet hosting. Yet on Thursday, Parler flipped the narrative on its head.

On Thursday, Parler sent a response to the House Committee on Oversight and Reform’s request for documents regarding the riot, the company explained in a press release. In that response, Parler revealed that it had “proactively developed an open line of communication with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in the fall of 2020 and referred violent content and incitement from Parler’s platform over 50 times before January 6th. Parler also warned the FBI about specific threats of violence being planned for the events at the Capitol on January 6th.”

In its letter, Parler said that the company recognizes “legal limits to free speech” and that its policies “have always prohibited threats of violence and incitement on its platform.”

The letter details Parler’s efforts “to flag and remove unlawful speech from its platform that was not protected by the First Amendment.” It also notes that of the 270 charging documents filed by the Department of Justice, 80 percent of social media references involved Big Tech platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. “Only 5% referred to Parler.”

The letter goes on to explain that Parler accumulated over 15 million users by January 2021 and its app was the most downloaded app at the Apple App Store and the Google U.S. Play Store on January 8, 2021.

The company’s press release connected the dots.

“Big Tech rivals Facebook and Twitter saw Parler as a viable threat and ganged up with Amazon and others to de-platform and destroy the Company. Big Tech has been effectively scapegoating Parler for the riots at the Capitol, but Parler’s revelations today show that the Company acted responsibly to try and stop the violence at the Capitol on January 6th,” the press release concluded.

Along with the letter and the press release, Parler provided the emails alerting the FBI to incitements to violence on Parler’s social media platform. The company repeatedly warned its FBI contact about the potential for violence on January 6.

In one email, Parler forwarded a message from a user who called for “an armed force of American Patriots 150,000… prepared to react to the congressional events of January 6th … And follow what the Declaration of Independence has dictated to do in situations of absolute despotism.”

“One more from same account. More where this came from. Concerned about Wednesday,” a Parler employee wrote to the FBI contact on January 2, the Saturday before the events of Wednesday, January 6.

Contrary to the Big Tech narrative, Parler did its due diligence and reported threats of violence to the FBI in advance of the Capitol riot. These actions, coupled with the fact that Parler only appeared in 5 percent of the DOJ’s charging documents, completely flips the Big Tech narrative on its head. The Capitol rioters did coordinate on Parler, in part, but they also did so on other social media platforms.

Parler was not negligent in its duty to remove incitements to violence, as Amazon, Apple, and Google claimed. In fact, it removed those incitements and altered the FBI about them. Parler may not have been perfect in this regard, but the company had been proactive before the Capitol riot.

APOLOGY ACCEPTED! We fought deplatforming — and we won against the cancel culture mob!

By Ezra Levant | March 26, 2021

I’ve got some good news for a change — we have a major victory in our lawsuit against the cancel culture mob. I think we’ve found a way, at least in Canada, and probably in the United Kingdom and Australia — to use the law to stop deplatforming.

It took eighteen months, but I think it’s really working; we’ve proven the concept.

Let me show you the results, and then let me tell you how we did it — and how you might be able to, also.

I now have a signed apology from the owner of two theatres that cancelled two book signings I had scheduled back in October of 2019 for my book about Justin Trudeau called The Libranos: What the media won’t tell you about Justin Trudeau’s corruption.

I was scheduled to do a book launch in Edmonton and then in Calgary, at these great independent movie theatres.

So I signed a contract with these theatres do to my book signings there, and I paid the whole rental fee in advance, and I was excited about it.

But then, about a week before my book launch, a left-wing Twitter mob started threatening the theatre owner — they wanted to cancel my book-signing!

So I called up the theatre owner to reassure him, and I told him I’d hire some private security at my own expense just to make sure there was no problem and to put him at ease.

The owner, Mike Brar, told me in thirty years he had never cancelled a movie and he didn’t expect to start now.

But finally, when the day of the book signing came, and we all showed up — the theatre doors were locked and were kept us out.

So I did my book launch on the street outside!

Well, fast forward to today.

Let me read his letter to me, which you can find on the website StopDeplatforming.com.

Mike: apology accepted. And I really think he means it. I just don’t think he had ever been treated that way by the mob. You know how cruel people can be on the Internet.

Leftists know that wouldn’t work on me. So they picked on an immigrant entrepreneur, and scared him to death. What a bunch of bullies.

What was so gross is that some of the mob were professors and staff at the University of Alberta. How awful is that — professors banning book launches. That’s disgraceful, frankly.

But like I say — what could I do? The doors were closed; the contract wasn’t honoured.

Now, as you can sort of tell, I sued Mike Brar and the two theatres for breach of contract. I had paid him in advance, he took my money and he scuppered the whole evening. I don’t like it, but I can understand it, and I really do accept his apology and the other parts of the settlement that I’m not at liberty to discuss.

But what about the real bad guys here — the mob itself?

Even Mike's own staff, Michael Corless and Jordon Thompson — they pressured him to rip up his contract with me. Do they really get to walk away from this? Does the Twitter mob? Do those woke professors?

No. And this is the lesson I want to share with you. This is how I fought back.

If you want to see our lawsuit for yourself, it’s on the website StopDeplatforming.com.

I’ve also posted Mike Brar’s apology letter there too. And if you are deplatformed somewhere — feel free to use my lawyer’s lawsuit as a template.

The mob carried the day back in October of 2019. But I don’t think they’re going to carry the day in the court of law.

Go to StopDeplatforming.com to learn more — and if you can help me cover the costs of this litigation, please do — you can do it right there on the same website, too.

It’s officially an offence now to LEAVE England

by TDB

Friday, Mar 26, 2021 - 15:10

via Sovereign Man

Are you ready for this week’s absurdity? Here’s our Friday roll-up of the most ridiculous stories from around the world that are threats to your liberty, risks to your prosperity… and on occasion, inspiring poetic justice.

It’s officially now an offence to LEAVE England

After four hours of debate yesterday in the House of Commons, the United Kingdom has approved an emergency measure that will, among other restrictions, fine Brits who LEAVE the country without a qualifying reason.

Ironically, the British government insists they can legally impose these new rules because of authority that was granted to them under a law called the Public Health Act… which just happened to be passed in… 1984.

Starting on Monday, anyone who leaves England must submit papers making a certified declaration of their reason for leaving. The authorities will then retain the discretion to fine travelers £5,000— nearly $7,000, if the reason isn’t valid.

The government has provided a list of 14 valid excuses, such as a professional football team traveling for a match. This is totally fine.

But someone who wants to attend a religious pilgrimage is forbidden to travel. So is someone who wants to visit an elderly parent they haven’t seen since 2019, unless it is a parent whom the traveler “reasonably believes is dying.”

How magnanimous.

By the way, these new rules come despite Members of Parliament acknowledging in debate yesterday that 95% of Brits over the age of 60 have been vaccinated.

This means that the most vulnerable population has been administered a vaccine that they insist is safe and effective.

So… why the harsh lockdown rules?

Also at sea, the Netherlands does not want to give way to Chinese intimidation: frigate sails with British squadron towards South China Sea

In a step that can further sharpen the relationship with China, the Dutch frigate Zr. Ms. Evertsen later this year visit Japan and probably also sail through the South China Sea claimed by China. The frigate will be part of a British fleet. France, Germany and Canada are also sending naval vessels to these waters this year to underline the importance of free passage.

China claims about 90 percent of the South China Sea, leading to increasing tensions in the region. European countries are increasingly concerned about this and want to make a gesture against Chinese intimidation in the area. According to them, the Chinese claim goes against the UN Convention on the law of the Sea. Last month, a French nuclear submarine and a French Frigate also patrolled the South China Sea.

DoD says it's too early to give details about the planned trip. The global vlootverband, which consists of the new British aircraft carrier, HMS Queen Elizabeth, will be in Japan on vlootbezoeken to the allies and friends of the Asian countries, according to the site Marineschepen.nl. The Evertsen was one of the so-called air defense, and commandofregat, which is in the Uk, the squadron – which also includes frigates, supply ships, and submarines, are included as a contribution to the defence.

Asked about a possible sailing route through the South China Sea, a defence spokesperson says: 'the Evertsen's journey has been discussed in the cabinet and so far this has not led us to say: we do not do certain things.’ The Netherlands has already been asked by the British for this contribution in 2018. ‘Our starting point is that we do not violate the UN Convention on the law of the Sea. For US, participation offers unprecedented opportunities to practice in such a large fleet.’

UK security strategy

The British-led fleet Association, which leaves at the end of May and returns in december, will be the first long-term operational deployment for the Queen Elisabeth, one of the two aircraft carriers with which the British want to underline the global nature of their new security strategy. China warned the British in January against sending warships to these waters.

For the VVD it is no problem if the frigate crosses the South China Sea. ‘The Chinese claim to the South China Sea is not supported by international law’, says VVD MP Sven Koopmans. 'We support the right to free passage through international waters. That is extremely important.’ The CDA is still brooding on a point of view. Bram van Ojik (GroenLinks) believes that the Netherlands should not be held back by Chinese claims, but argues for transparency, for example by informing the country in advance, and ‘not unnecessarily provoking’ China.

Sjoerd Sjoerdsma (D66), who was hit this week by China's sanctions in response to EU measures, does not want to react until it has been confirmed that the Netherlands will participate in a so-called freedom of navigation operation (Fonop). However, according to the Ministry of Defence, there is no such operation that deliberately stays for a longer period of time (’laps of danger‘) in disputed waters – something different from an ordinary Transit, which is now the case. The increasing European presence in Asia and the South China Sea is no coincidence. China is increasingly on NATO's radar and the Chinese pressure on countries in (and outside) the region has not gone unnoticed.

“QAnon Generously Donating Tin Foil Hats To Make Migrant Sleeping Bags”

EL PASO, TX—With Biden's border facilities becoming more crowded by the hour, the U.S. is facing a severe shortage of tin foil, since– according to ICE, immigrants prefer to sleep wrapped up in it. In response, followers of "Q" have generously agreed to donate extra tin foil hats to address the urgent need.

"It's the least I can do," said local QAnon chapter president Dave Smith. "I feel for those poor kids. I just hope they can all escape that border facility before Tom Hanks eats them all."

According to "Q" members, the tin foil will protect migrants from the cold– as well as cosmic radiation, mind control, vaccine-infected zombies, and Jeffrey Epstein, in case he's still alive.

Officials are warning, however, that if the crisis on the border isn't fixed soon, they'll have to start using Saran Wrap.

WHO Covid-19 report: New Zealand shuts its eyes to appease China

WILL GLASGOW and BEN PACKHAM - APRIL 1, 2021

New Zealand has refused to stand with Australia and its other Five Eyes partners to speak out against a much-criticised World Health Organisation investigation into the origins of COVID in China, as it tries to escape Beijing’s wrath.

The shortcomings of the investigation, which has been highly sensitive in China, were immediately pointed out in joint statements released by the four other Five Eyes nations — the US, Britain, Canada and Australia — as well as Japan, South Korea and eight other countries, and in a separate statement by the EU.

Even WHO director-general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus himself, who has been criticised for being too conciliatory to Beijing during the pandemic, acknowledged data had been withheld from the investigation team.

“In my discussions with the team they expressed the difficulties they encountered in accessing raw data,” Mr Tedros said at a press conference, which was seemingly censored on the Chinese internet on Wednesday.

“I expect future collaborative studies to include more timely and comprehensive data sharing,” the WHO chief said.

But in Wellington, the Ardern government said it needed more time before it would comment on the report, even though it has been circulating among WHO members for days.

“Our technical experts are currently analysing the report,” a spokeswoman for New Zealand Foreign Minister Nanaia Mahuta told The Australian.

“As this is a scientific report, we want to make sure we understand the science before making any comment,” she said.

While Australia’s relationship with China has imploded during the pandemic, New Zealand has become Beijing’s favourite member of the Five Eyes group.

Wellington was rewarded in January with an upgrade in its free trade agreement with China. That was signed as Beijing continued a trade retaliation campaign on more than $20bn worth of Australian exports aimed at punishing the Morrison government for calling for an independent inquiry into the origins of the coronavirus without forewarning Xi Jinping’s administration.

Tony Browne, a former New Zealand ambassador to China, said the Ardern government’s absence from the joint statement was not unexpected.

Noting that he did not want to sound critical of Australia’s approach, the retired diplomat said the Morrison government’s call for an inquiry was “framed in terms that were seen as provocative and even hostile in Beijing”.

“The way that the demand was outlined was seen by China as going beyond health into the political,” he told The Australian.

“Calling China into account for the nature of its political management of the issue might sound like a good thing to do, but you know for certain it’s not going to go anywhere in terms of any sort of co-operative involvement from China,” he said.

The WHO team in their report said they were unable to conclude where or how the virus began spreading, although they believe it most likely jumped from a bat or other animal host to a human.

‘Wuhan lab theory needs further study’

A statement signed by the US, Australia and 12 other countries said it was critical the WHO team be given “full access” so they could accurately study the origins of the coronavirus.

The EU statement said the report was a “helpful first step”, while regretting the late start of the study and the limited availability of early samples and related data.

A theory pushed by the Trump administration that the coronavirus emerged from a laboratory in Wuhan was described as the least likely hypothesis, but Tedros acknowledged the WHO team said that theory required further study.

“Further data and studies will be needed to reach more robust conclusions,” he said.

China’s foreign ministry said Beijing had provided “full co-operation” to the WHO team and then repeated a conspiracy theory about the coronavirus leaking from a military lab in America.

“There is still a big question mark over the lab at Fort Detrick,” the foreign ministry spokeswoman said.

Meanwhile, China’s state-controlled Global Times reported that the virus may have arrived in Wuhan on frozen food brought by foreign participants at the October 2019 Military World Games, a theory with no supporting evidence in the report.

I've seen repeats of Simon Parkes claims before. I'm still not buying it about EVER GIVEN being boarded by US military and anyone at all being found in some of the onboard containers.

Now he's claiming the Captain has been arrested, along with two of the Pilots (should be only one Pilot aboard a ship at a time to give instructions for the helm, I'm ex-Navy and have some experience with transits)

I'm not buying it.

The deal is one pilot. The pilots are people greatly experienced in the local waters where the ship is transiting. There was audio posted to General Research previously where the bridge crew seemed to not be wanting to follow what the pilot was telling them. There also should have been a lookout on each bridge wing and at the bow.

For me the biggest question is where is the Court of Inquiry to be held and who is going to run that show?

Tucker Carlson isn’t the only one speaking out about Trudeau’s internment camps

“What if your next door neighbour suddenly went dangerously insane and starting holding people hostage in his house?” Asked Tucker Carlson during his evening show on Wednesday — the most-watched political show on television.

He was talking about boring old us, Canada, and how under the leadership of Justin Trudeau, “Canada took a dramatic move toward legitimately dangerous authoritarianism.”

He was referring to an order released by Trudeau on Monday, outlining the latest bit of Martial Law being imposed on Canadians.

“Now is not the time to travel. If you have plans to head somewhere for the long weekend, cancel them,” Trudeau instructed.

“For those who need to travel, take note of the measures that are in place when you return to Canada: If you’re flying back into the country, you’ll need to show a negative PCR test result before you board the plane. When you land, you’ll need to take another PCR test. You’ll then have to wait at an approved hotel, and at your own expense, for your results to come back.”

“Approved hotel” it seems, is the latest Trudeau-euphemism for what Carlson more accurately describes as “internment camps.”

Internment camps where YOU pay the bill.

Trudeau continues: “If your results come back negative for COVID-19, you’ll be able to head home and finish your mandatory quarantine there. If your test results come back positive, you’ll need to immediately quarantine in designated government facilities. This is not optional.”

A non-optional stay at a government facility… that sounds a lot like an internment camp. Reaction on Twitter went even darker, where high profile comedians and athletes compared the “hotels” to gulags and concentration camps.

Fortunately for Trudeau, he has his own propaganda machine to cover for his attacks on our rights and freedoms.

Back in October, the CBC assured Canadians that any talk of “internment camps” was false.

“Disinformation campaign falsely suggests Canadians will be forcibly sent to quarantine sites,” read a CBC headline.

According to the fact-checkers over at the state broadcaster, who quote an unnamed Liberal spin doctor to substantiate their report, the feds were merely providing “voluntary quarantine sites” — only to be used by homeless people and international travellers with nowhere else to go.

Voluntary, eh?

The CBC story was not updated or corrected on Monday when Trudeau contradicted their report by informing Canadians that forced stays at these quarantine sites was “not optional.”

“Suddenly Canada is a flagrant violator of the most basic human rights. Fail a covid test and they will lock up without trial,” said Tucker Carlson.

Why does it take the host of an American cable news show to say what Canadian journalists and activists should be filling newspapers and airways condemning?

Canada’s pundit class is too busy ho-humming about a possible spring election to notice or care about the usurping of Habeas corpus.

Fortunately for Canadians, not everyone is burying their head in the sand. I spoke to the lawyers at the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms (JCCF), who outlined the many ways that Trudeau’s orders are in fact unconstitutional, and how they are fighting back.

JCCF President John Carpay explained that this order could violate Section 7 of the Charter — the right to life, liberty and security of person.

Carpay explained that a government locking people up against their will, with no due process, no presumption of innocence and an absence of a timely trial before an independent and impartial court, were all red flags.

He told me that his organization was fighting back, and initiating “court action against these hotel-prisons.”

Jay Cameron, one of the JCCF lawyers on that case, called this “the essence of authoritarianism” and expressed concern that “Parliament has not considered or voted on the forced internment of Canadians.”

Likewise, Sayed Hassan, the other JCCF lawyer on the case, pointed out that the location of these forced quarantine hotels is unknown.

“There should be no room in a free and democratic society for secret federal facilities,” he said.

This is Justin Trudeau’s Canada.

Without being flipped it's S2

The most important mission of combat battalion S2s is to provide their commanders enough timely information to allow them to make critical decisions on the battlefield. While in the field, this mission far outweighs all others. If the S2 succeeds, the battalion is almost always successful; if the S2 fails, the battalion is almost certainly doomed to defeat and the unnecessary loss of American lives. As the lowest echelon of tactical intelligence, the battalion S2 has the most direct influence on the basic building blocks of tactical warfare: platoons, companies, and the battalion task force (TF).

Prince Philip has died aged 99, Buckingham Palace announces

A statement issued by the palace just after midday spoke of the Queen's "deep sorrow" following his death at Windsor Castle on Friday morning.

The Duke of Edinburgh, the longest-serving royal consort in British history, was at the Queen's side for more than her six decades of reign.

Boris Johnson said he "inspired the lives of countless young people".

WE Charity officially launched in California in 2014. Gavin Newsom, who was lieutenant governor at the time, tweeted on March 26 of that year to welcome the charity's first statewide fundraiser "WE Day California" hosted inside the Oakland arena.

16,000 students from hundreds of schools across the state packed inside to watch celebrities like Selena Gomez, Orlando Bloom, and Seth Rogan perform sharing inspirational messages.

"You are changing the world," said Gomez to a crowd. "That's amazing."

In order to attend, students needed to do local and global acts of service. A common one was raising money to build schools for underprivileged kids in Kenya and Ecuador.

On March 12, 2021, the Kielburger brothers testified under oath they paid Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's family nearly a half-million dollars in speaking fees for WE Day events.

I'd like to commit to 100 schools around the world. 100 schools," Oprah Winfrey said in an interview with the Kielburger brothers.

Since the brothers appeared on Oprah in 2000, WE Charity claims 1,500 schools and school rooms have been built across the world with funds. But, the nonprofit has been unable to provide a list of each location to the Parliamentary committee.

Can't tell us where those schools are, who the students are, who the teachers are," said Poilievre. "How can we even prove they exist?

Scientists Now Say Vaccination Isn’t Good Enough — Push For New Vaccination Every Single Time We Travel

Scientists at Oxford University have suggested that people may need to have a coronavirus vaccination not once, not twice, but EVERY time they want to travel out of their home country.

The scientists published a report in the Royal Society Journal last week that acknowledged there is little data on how efficient or long lasting the current vaccines are, and so it is likely that countries will require a recent vaccination.

Having endless vaccinations when there is no indication of how effective they are, or what long term side effects there may be sounds absolutely mental, but that is what is being suggested.

Speaking to the London Telegraph, Epidemiologist Christopher Dye, a leading author of the reports stated “If we thought that the duration of protection was just a matter of months, then the sort of criteria that might be introduced – we’re not saying they should be – is that when one travels internationally for a short trip, going on vacation for example, that one is vaccinated each time on that occasion for that particular trip.”

The scientists also stated that vaccine passports are “feasible,” but only when global standards can be agreed upon.

“An effective vaccine passport system that would allow the return to pre-Covid activities, including travel, without compromising personal or public health, must meet a set of demanding criteria,” said Dye.

Other co-authors of the study wanted that the covid passports, which the government’s vaccines minister has repeatedly said are not going to be used domestically, “need to be fully explored.”

Professor Melinda Mills warned that such a system “could inadvertently discriminate or exacerbate existing inequalities,” adding “The intended use will have significant implications across a wide range of legal and ethical issues.”

“Is it literally a passport to allow international travel or could it be used domestically to allow holders greater freedoms?” Professor Mills further questioned.

“We need a broader discussion about multiple aspects of a vaccine passport, from the science of immunity through to data privacy, technical challenges and the ethics and legality of how it might be used,” Mills added.

Amazon continues to pull books critical of transgender ideology

https://www.rebelnews.com/amazon_continues_to_pull_books_critical_of_transgender_ideology

Online retail giant Amazon has pulled a book critical of transgender identity theory, after calls to ban the book flooded social media. It is the second book Amazon has banned that is critical of the contentious topic.

Amazon removed Maria Keffler’s Desist, Detrans, & Detox: Getting Your Child Out of the Gender Cult. The new book sold fewer than 100 copies across three platforms and earned fewer than a dozen reviews before it was banned, according to Partners for Ethical Care (PEC), of which Keffler is a co-founder.

The organization says that Amazon provided “no contact, no warning, no reason” for removing the book.

According to the Daily Wire, PEC is a nonprofit organization co-founded by Keffler and is designed to raise awareness and support efforts to stop the unethical treatment of children by schools, hospitals and healthcare providers under the banner of “gender identity affirmation.” Keffler’s book is about that exact subject.

Amazon banned the book just weeks after it removed Ryan T. Anderson’s When Harry Became Sally, which is about the trans youth movement that has become in vogue over the past few years.

Despite banning all books critical of the transgender identity movement for apparent hate speech, Amazon continues to sell books like Adolf Hitler’s Mein Kampf. Amazon has set up a new policy that bans any books that attempt to classify transgenderism or other new identities as mental illnesses, according to Brian Huseman, Amazon’s vice president of public policy.

“As a bookseller, we provide our customers with access to a variety of viewpoints, including books that some customers may find objectionable,” Huseman said in response to Republican Sens. Marco Rubio of Florida, Mike Lee of Utah, Mike Braun of Indiana and Josh Hawley of Missouri in a March letter. The group of senators complained to the retailer when it banned Anderson’s book.

“Amazon works hard to ensure customers have a great shopping experience, and access to the widest and most diverse cross-section of written and spoken word in retail today,” Huseman added. “That said, we reserve the right not to sell certain content. All retailers make decisions about what selection they choose to offer, as do we. As to your specific question about When Harry Became Sally, we have chosen not to sell books that frame LGBTQ+ identity as a mental illness.”

LONDON (AP) — Risky uses of artificial intelligence that threaten people’s safety or rights such as live facial scanning should be banned or tightly controlled, European Union officials said Wednesday as they outlined an ambitious package of proposed regulations to rein in the rapidly expanding technology.

The draft regulations from the EU’s executive commission include rules for applications deemed high risk such as AI systems to filter out school, job or loan applicants. They would also ban artificial intelligence outright in a few cases considered too risky, such as government “social scoring” systems that judge people based on their behavior.

The proposals are the 27-nation bloc’s latest move to maintain its role as the world’s standard-bearer for technology regulation, as it tries to keep up with the world’s two big tech superpowers, the U.S. and China. EU officials say they are taking a four-level “risk-based approach” that seeks to balance important rights such as privacy against the need to encourage innovation.

“With these landmark rules, the EU is spearheading the development of new global norms to make sure AI can be trusted,” Margrethe Vestager, the European Commission’s executive vice president for the digital age, said in a statement. “By setting the standards, we can pave the way for to ethical technology worldwide and ensure that the EU remains competitive along the way.”

To be sure, the draft rules have a long way to go before they take effect. They need to be reviewed by the European Parliament and the European Council and could be amended in a process that could take several years, though officials declined to give a specific timeframe.

Previous EU tech regulation efforts have been far reaching and influential, earning it a reputation as a pioneer. Vestager, also the bloc’s competition chief, filed aggressive antitrust challenges against Silicon Valley giants like Google years before such action became fashionable. The EU was also early to the data privacy battle with stringent rules known as General Data Protection Regulation, or GDPR, that became the de facto global standard.

However, results have been mixed: Google still retains its online dominance and EU privacy cases against global tech companies are backed up. Officials are also working on updating the EU’s digital rulebook to protect internet users from harmful material or rogue traders.

Under the AI proposals, unacceptable uses would also include manipulating behavior, exploiting children’s vulnerabilities or using subliminal techniques.

“It can be a case where a toy uses voice systems to manipulate a child into doing something dangerous,” Vestager told a media briefing. “Such uses have no place in Europe and therefore we propose to ban them.”

The proposals include a prohibition in principle on controversial “remote biometric identification,” such as the use of live facial recognition to pick people out of crowds in real time, because “there is no room for mass surveillance in our society,” Vestager said.

There will, however, be an exception for narrowly defined law enforcement purposes such as searching for a missing child or a wanted person or preventing a terror attack. But some EU lawmakers and digital rights groups want the carve-out removed over fears it could be used by authorities to justify widespread future use of the technology, which they say is intrusive and inaccurate.

What Big Ag Doesn’t Want You to Know: Small Farms Can Feed the World

According to a new peer-reviewed paper, “The Myth of a Food Crisis,” corrupt philanthropic and academic sectors in agriculture and development perpetuate the lie that Big Ag is the only way to feed the world.

Full Article here:

https://childrenshealthdefense.org/defender/small-farms-can-feed-world/

Sustainable, local, organic food grown on small farms has a tremendous amount to offer. Unlike chemical-intensive industrial-scale agriculture, it regenerates rural communities; it doesn’t pollute rivers and groundwater or create dead zones; it can save coral reefs; it doesn’t encroach on rainforests; it preserves soil and it can restore the climate. Why do all governments not promote it?

For policymakers, the big obstacle to global promotion and restoration of small-scale farming (leaving aside the lobbying power of agribusiness) is allegedly that, “it can’t feed the world.” If that claim were true, local food systems would be bound to leave people hungry and so promoting them becomes selfish, short-termist and unethical.

Nevertheless, this purported flaw in sustainable and local agriculture represents a curious charge because, no matter where one looks in global agriculture, food prices are low because products are in surplus.

Often, they are in huge surplus, even in the hungriest countries. Farmers will tell you they are going out of business because, as a result of these surpluses, prices are low and continuously falling. Indeed, declining agricultural prices are a broad trend continuing, with the odd blip, for over a century, and applying to every commodity. This downward trend has continued even through a recent biofuel boom designed to consume some of these surpluses. In other words, the available data contradict the likelihood of food shortages. Despite the rising global population, food gluts are everywhere…

World leaders try to outdo each other with climate promises at Earth Day summit

https://www.rebelnews.com/world_leaders_try_to_outdo_each_other_with_climate_promises_at_earth_day_summit

In a virtual two-day climate summit hosted by President Joe Biden on Earth Day, world leaders attempted to outdo each other on promises and boasts on tackling climate change. Activist Greta Thunberg warned ahead of the event that world leaders would bring “bullsh*t” to the summit.

As detailed by Sky News, Biden used the two-day climate summit to announce a new target of halving carbon emissions by 2030. Other world leaders, including Chinese President Xi Jinping, promised to do so in a “much shorter time span.”

Russian President Vladimir Putin bragged about the greater extent of the actions Russia plans to take in tackling climate change. The United Kingdom’s Boris Johnson promised to do as much as the United States. India’s Narendra Modi bragged that India’s carbon footprint is 60 per cent lower than the global average.

Compared with 2005 levels, the United States has pledged to reduce emissions by upwards of 50 per cent by 2030, US climate envoy John Kerry said. Kerry says the goal previously announced by Biden is a more than reasonable target.

"Will we probably wind up exceeding it? I suspect yes," he said. "I'm generally optimistic because so much is beginning to happen."

Efforts to cut America’s carbon emissions include the widespread adoption of electric vehicles and a reduction of emissions caused by manufacturing and power consumption, which are largely driven by the use of fossil fuels in the U.S. The move towards a carbon-neutral or even carbon-negative U.S. economy will be highly contingent on the adoption of renewable energy sources.

Canada has pledged to follow America’s lead by reducing carbon emissions by 40 to 45 per cent compared to 2005 levels by 2030.

In contrast, the U.K. is measuring its target against 1990 levels, a baseline most commonly used by the United Nations — meaning that the U.K. is expected to reduce its carbon emissions by even greater levels than its North American counterparts. Boris Johnson boasted that emissions in the U.K. will be cut by 78 per cent by 2035.

As noted by Sky News, each representative present attempted to try and one-up each other with boasts on their efforts to “build back better.” Notably, Johnson used phrases like “Saudi Arabia of wind” and “First country to legislate for net-zero.”
