Covering Up the Truth

Obama and his handlers effectively covered up the truth about Obama’s family history.

“There is no hiding place for war criminals. NEW - ‘Ukraine today could be East Asia tomorrow’: Japan PM warns

 

Japan’s Prime Minister Fumio Kishida warned a security summit Friday that “Ukraine today may be East Asia tomorrow”, as concerns grow that China could invade democratic, self-ruled Taiwan.

 

US officials have said they believe China is closely monitoring how Russia’s invasion of Ukraine progresses to assess their own plans when it comes to Taiwan.

 

Tensions have been soaring over the island, which Beijing views as its territory and has vowed to seize one day, by force if necessary.

 

Kishida told the Shangri-La Dialogue security summit in Singapore that while Japan is a peace-loving nation, the changing regional and global security landscape has prompted Tokyo to reassess its own defence position.

 

“In light of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, countries’ perceptions on security have drastically changed around the world,” he said in a keynote address to defence ministers, senior military officers and analysts attending the summit.

 

He cited Germany shifting its security policy by raising its defence budget to two percent of gross domestic product and Finland and Sweden abandoning their traditional neutrality to push for NATO membership.

 

“I myself have a strong sense of urgency that Ukraine today may be East Asia tomorrow,” said Kishida, whose country has joined Western-led sanctions against Russia.

 

As prime minister, Kishida said he has the responsibility “to protect the lives and assets of the Japanese people” while contributing to regional peace and security.

 

He warned however that the world must be “prepared for the emergence of an entity that tramples on the peace and security of other countries by force or threat without honouring the rules”.

 

Kishida called for the “rules-based international order” to be upheld, in what appeared to be a veiled reference to China’s growing assertiveness in the Asia Pacific region.

 

To protect itself, Japan needs to “enhance our deterrence and response capabilities”, he said, adding that his government will set out a new national security strategy by the end of this year.

 

Kishida’s ruling Liberal Democratic Party has laid out longer-term policy goals including expanding Japan’s defence budget beyond two percent of GDP, a ratio that would put it on par with members of NATO.

 

That would mark a departure from Japan’s political tradition of capping defence spending below one percent of its GDP, which stands at around $5 trillion.

Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-Ga.) said it was difficult being falsely accused of conspiring in the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, but he is fighting back to hold the House Jan. 6 committee accountable for its "reckless behavior."

The Jan. 6 panel subpoenaed Loudermilk last month over a constituent tour he gave of congressional office buildings one day before the "Stop the Steal" rally. The Capitol police chief cleared the Georgia Republican of any wrongdoing on Monday.

Loudermilk told "Just the News, Not Noise" on Thursday that he found out about the committee's subpoena through the news, and he still has not received a copy of the letter.

"So I knew they weren't out for the truth. They're trying to push a narrative, and I believe the truth ought to be known. So we pushed back and we said, 'Let's get the truth out there,'" Loudermilk explained.

After the subpoena, his family and staff members started receiving 'significant' death threats, Loudermilk said, noting, "I lay the blame to this at the feet of the Jan. 6 committee for going to the press about their false allegations, instead of talking to me individually and privately."

Even the people who were on the tour with Loudermilk are afraid for their lives, the congressman told editor in chief John Solomon and cohost Amanda Head.

"So there is a responsibility that this committee has to the safety and security of people, because this reckless behavior could cause someone to get seriously hurt," he stressed.

While he has received support from his Republican colleagues, Loudermilk said that he has not "heard anything from directly from the Democrats."

Loudermilk also criticized the media for not accurately reporting on Republicans. He said journalists "will follow any conspiracy theory without getting any facts."

Notably, many outlets wrote about his subpoena, but few followed up with stories about how he was cleared.

Tuesday, a list of 42 of the 48 golfers playing in the LIV Tournament was released. One top golfer, Dustin Johnson, had changed his tune and has decided to ditch the PGA tournaments and instead participate in the Trump-endorsed tournament.

 

Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund is funding the tournament. The first of the series is set to kick off on June 9th at London’s Centurion Club and will conclude at Trump’s with October’s Team Championship at Trump National Doral in Florida.

 

Johnson’s personal sponsor, The Royal Bank of Canada, seemed to be caught off guard by his decision and made a statement that they were “extremely disappointed”. However, they did not outright say if they would drop the golfer or not. See the full statement below:

There is speculation as to why Johnson had a change of heart and it looks like it may be the purse offered in the LIV tournament.

 

The total purses for all eight events totals $255 million. All but the final event offer purses of $25 million, with the Team Championship, set at $50 million. In comparison, the largest purse in the PGA tournament is $20 million at the Players Championship.

 

Trump took to Truth Social in May to share his thoughts on PGA and LIV:

At about 7:30 am yesterday the 18th intense shelling went on the city of Donetsk In the center and other regions. At about 9:30 My team and I went to the Kuibyshevsky district of Donetsk after hearing reports of shelling there. After arriving the shelling continued and we spent the next 90 min carefully avoiding shelling as it rained down on this residential area so we could document the attack. While there and in this report we documented and saw with our own eyes impacts and damage to at least 8 apartment buildings, an Electronic equipment factory, a farmers market, and 3 small stores. We came across a group of people digging through debris to find their friend's bodies( hopefully alive) after Ukraine shelled a market. As I came up one of the elderly man fell down while searching, so I helped him up and joined them in the search. we only found one of their friends(not alive). We could not find the other 2. I pray they made it out alive. We saw one civilian killed by the shelling, one injured and 2 missing andand presumed dead.

 

To be clear this location is one of the MANY that took heavy shelling throughout the day in Donetsk."

Many Christian figureheads of the Never Trump variety have either gone mute or twisted themselves in ideological knots since the Supreme Court struck down Roe v. Wade after nearly half a century, but none of the silence is as deafening as that coming from Russell Moore, the former provost and dean of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

 

It’s odd that one of the most prominent names in evangelicalism and the country’s largest Protestant circles hasn’t said a peep about the most consequential legal decision of our time, especially since Christianity was such a large part of the movement causing the reversal of Roe and will no doubt play an outsized role in its aftermath.

 

A little online searching shows one “bonus episode” from “The Russell Moore Show” on Christianity Today (where Moore holds the title of public theologian) that came out the day of the Dobbs ruling, advertising “A Conversation with Stephen Prothero on Culture Wars Now That ‘Roe’ Is Gone.”

 

But the episode didn’t occur after Roe was “gone”; it was a pre-tape from after the Dobbs draft opinion leak speculating about what might come next, meaning Moore has offered no post-Roe analysis. And his guest, a religion professor at Boston University, has spent the days since the Roe reversal telling Christians to “f-ck off” on Twitter and retweeting political graphics depicting conservative Supreme Court justices as Tiananmen Square tanks about to mow down a pregnant woman. Christianity Today didn’t respond to multiple requests for comment about why the pre-taped podcast was dishonestly framed as post-Dobbs commentary.

 

I don’t think every person everywhere is responsible for commenting on cultural, political, and spiritual events. In fact, that performative impulse is one of the reasons once-apolitical cultural havens such as professional sports have been so ruined by virtue-signaling and complicated sociopolitical realities have been dumbed down to a pointless black square on Instagram. But given thatMoore is the chairman of public theology at Christianity Today, why has he not said anything publicly about this issue of deep theological importance?

 

It’s not as though Moore hasn’t made his opinions on abortion and Roe clear in the past. He’s many times written about the barbaric practice, even editing a book about “The Gospel & Abortion,” and has often alluded to Roe’s egregiousness on Twitter. So why refuse to comment on the most consequential pro-life victory in nearly 50 years?

 

Christianity Today and an assistant of Moore didn’t respond to multiple inquiries about why Moore hasn’t said anything.

 

Perhaps Moore has been silent on Roe he’s been too busy making a showy exit from the Southern Baptist Churchafter a lengthy report about sexual abuse among some of its leaders. It was ultimately faithful Southern Baptists who uncovered the evil. Moore, upstanding as he was, remained a leader within the denomination for years while this abuse was occurring.

 

But Moore has never been too busy to make public comments on matters of far lesser importance than abortion. He had time to publicly celebrate former National Institutes of Health Director Francis Collins for his “wisdom, expertise, and most of all … Christian humility and grace,” despite Collins’ disregard for human life in the form of grotesque humanized mice experiments using aborted babies, his support for shutting down church during Covid, and his character attacks on those who resisted Covid vaccinations that they were “killing people.” Continued…

EASTHAMPTON – City Councilor at-large Lindsey M. Rothschild on Thursday officially announced she will resign from the nine-person body effective June 30.

“As a mother of a rising fourth grader and a business owner, I’ve found myself recently very overwhelmed with also meeting my commitment as a city council member and thus have decided to refocus my time and priorities,” she said in a letter dated June 16 to City Council president Homar Gomez.

 

“Thank you for your leadership, President Gomez. Rest assured that, although I will not be at the City Council table with you, I will still be contributing my perspective and time to the City of Easthampton,” Rothschild wrote.

 

She added, “Please accept this letter as my formal resignation from my position as City Councilor at-large for the City of Easthampton effective June 30, 2022. It has been a great honor to serve the City of Easthampton alongside my fellow elected representatives.”

A strange constellation has emerged through public records requests of coordination between progressive funders, federal authorities, corporations, state election officials, and leftist organizations.

 

Freedom of information requests have uncovered oddball and opaque relationships between some state election officials, federal officials, corporations, progressive activists, and those trying to influence the conduct of those same election officials. These relationships extend to junkets that include baseball games, travel, and even data exchanges between state officials and outside progressive groups.

 

The story begins with a series of freedom of information act requests aimed at a number of states to see if any election officials are tempted to apply for now-illegal money from the Mark Zuckerberg-funded Center for Technology and Civic Life. In one email, we find that the Democracy Fund—a hyper-funded progressive money source—is organizing state officials and third parties to discuss election administration.

San Francisco bans natural gas in buildings.

 

“The San Francisco Board of Supervisors voted unanimously Tuesday to ban natural gas in new buildings, legislation that will apply to more than 54,000 homes and 32 million square feet of commercial space in the city’s development pipeline,” the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

 

San Francisco has already banned natural gas in any new city-owned buildings. The new order will extend to any buildings that apply for a building permit after June 30. Supporters say the measure will improve indoor air quality, increase building safety and reduce emissions.

 

“Natural gas accounts for roughly 40% of San Francisco’s overall emissions of greenhouse gases and 80% of building emissions,” the Chronicle reports.

 

Investors expect Biden's win to accelerate a shift to renewables.

 

“One of the best ways to make money on Wall Street recently has been to bet against the fossil-fuel industry and buy renewable stocks,” the Wall Street Journal reports.

 

Now, some top investors are saying that they expect this pattern to accelerate as a Biden administration, as the administration tightens regulations and issues executive orders limiting new drilling on public lands. At the same time, big investors have moved assets away from fossil fuel producers and many small investors have poured money into sustainable funds.

 

“I think we are going to have a much more rapid transition to a net-zero [carbon] economy than most people expect,” Robert Litterman, a former Goldman Sachs Group Inc. investor, told the Wall Street Journal. Republican leaders in the House should demand that the Jan. 6 Committee immediately release the full deposition transcripts for all witnesses—because if they fabricated Klukowski’s role in the alleged conspiracy, they likely lied about what other witnesses said as well.

Make your bread comfy with basic filters! You can get tons of mileage with basic filters that don't require learning REGEX.
