Video: Tulsi Gabbard Defends 2020 Endorsement of Joe Biden, Says She’s ‘Gotten to Know His Family’

Tulsi Gabbard defended her 2020 endorsement of Joe Biden for President when questioned by a conservative, citing her relationship with the Biden family as a reason for her support and pleading ignorance to his radical agenda, which she supported throughout her career. Video footage of the exchange has been exclusively obtained by National File.

The Fall Briefing With Tulsi Gabbard, hosted by the Minnesota-based Center of the American Experiment, a free-market think-tank, took place on October 15th, just days after Gabbard announced her departure from the Democrat Party. When Gabbard was asked by an audience member why she backed Joe Biden in 2020 as opposed to President Trump, she defended her endorsement and pled ignorance of Biden’s far-left agenda.

One of the “reasons that conservatives are still skeptical of you and of this move is because you endorsed Joe Biden in 2020,” a man in the audience said to Gabbard when it was his turn to have to mic.

“What is it that you know about Joe Biden now that you didn’t know then?” he asked, to cheers from his fellow audience members. “Why were you willing to endorse him and not support President Trump?”

“I’ve – I’ve known Joe Biden for a long time,” Gabbard said. “Gotten to know his family.”

“The Joe Biden that I knew is nothing like the Joe Biden we’ve seen in the White House,” Gabbard went on in responding. “I endorsed him in the hopes that he would carry out his promises and that he would listen to his better angels in the face of the permanent Washington establishment,” she said of Biden, who’s been in Washington for 50 years.

“But he’s failed to do that,” Gabbard said. “In every aspect. His promises to unite a divided country turned out to be hollow and empty promises.”

After calling Biden’s recent speech in Philadelphia, where he declared millions of Americans to be military enemies of the state “divisive,” Tulsi Gabbard told the audience that she is “sickened and disheartened” by the administration of the man she endorsed in 2020.

How the pro-Ukraine NAFO troll operation crowd-funds war criminals

Celebrated in mainstream US media for its anti-Russian trolling, the Twitter operation known as NAFO was founded by a Polish antisemite to raise money for a militia that has hosted war criminals, white nationalists and wanted murderers.

Whether they know it or not, anyone who has checked Twitter for recent coverage of the Ukraine proxy war has likely encountered at least one of the thousands of trolls that comprise NAFO, or the “North Atlantic Fellas Organization.” Thanks to the efforts of NAFO and its “fellas,” any journalist or prominent figure critical of Ukraine or NATO on Twitter is likely to receive hundreds of replies accusing them of being paid by Russian President Vladimir Putin (or even performing fellatio on him) from accounts with Shiba Inu dog avatars.

Since its inception several months ago, NAFO has earned gushing praise from the Washington Post, which hailed it for “show[ing] that the tables could be turned on Russia, when it came to trolling.” The arms industry-funded, Washington DC-based Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), meanwhile, hosted an online panel highlighting NAFO as an instrumental weapon in the Russia-Ukraine infowars.

Yet NAFO’s beltway boosters often gloss over its role as a fundraising machine for the Georgian Legion, a US-backed Ukrainian fighting group that stands accused of gruesome battlefield atrocities. Several former members of the Legion have produced first-hand testimony documenting its perpetration of war crimes, including the torture and execution of POWs and civilians.

One NAFO founder explained that he chose the Georgian Legion as a funding recipient precisely because of the unit’s reputation as a band of “mercenaries and criminals” that was willing to carry out barbarous acts which could cause foreign governments to shy away from supporting it. Another NAFO founder has praised the Georgian Legion’s leader for “killing Russians since the ’90s.”

Among the Georgian Legion’s most notorious members are US fugitive and murderer Craig Lang, as well as Paul Gray, an American whose past involvement in several neo-Nazi organizations was never mentioned during the friendly primetime interviews he was granted by Fox News and its local affiliates.

While providing a financial feeding tube to a militia that revels in its own atrocities, NAFO continues to attract effusive support from mainstream US journalists and think tankers who portray the operation as little more than a grassroots expression of online solidarity with Ukraine.

Obsessively online interventionists find meaning and purpose as “fellas”

Employing cartoon memes of the Shiba Inu dog breed, NAFO’s postmodern aesthetic, irreverent style and dedication to viciously trolling any critic of the Ukraine proxy war has garnered the adulation of Western media and interventionist government officials alike.

To outsiders, the lingo that flows through internal NAFO chats might seem unintelligible: “fellas” refers to members; “nafoarticle5” is a call to action that urges “fellas” to dog-pile on a particular social media post; “vatnik” serves as a pejorative for Russians and virtually anyone critical of the US-backed proxy war. Phrases such as “NAFO expansion is non-negotiable” and sarcastic claims that they are funded by the CIA (which they simultaneously claim “doesn’t exist”) are also ubiquitous.

Behind the anonymously named Twitter accounts of NAFO members lies a base of extremely online, mostly male civilians seeking a sense of purpose and community. Some participants have tattooed Shiba Inu avatars onto their bodies while others have published photos of their newborn babies in the arms of an adult sporting a NAFO shirt.

One member of the troll operation tweeted a photo of an elaborate NAFO tattoo emblazoned on his arm, but has since deleted it.

Trump calls Danchenko verdict: 'Disgraceful judicial system'

The former president said that although he was told Durham had a "great" case, it had "ZERO chance of winning."

Former President Trump on Thursday called the judicial system "disgraceful" for the jury verdict last week in which Steele dossier contributor Igor Danchenko was found not guilty on all charges of lying to the FBI.

"The disgraceful judicial system was on full display yet again with the Danchenko Verdict," Trump posted on his platform, Truth Social.

Trump said the legal process was not fair to Special Counsel John Durham, who led the probe into the FBI's handling of its investigation into whether the 2016 Trump presidential campaign colluded with Russia to influence the outcome of the election.

The dossier, a Trump opposition research document funded in part by the 2016 Hillary Clinton campaign, was in part used by the FBI in its collusion probe, despite the bureau being unable to corroborate the information.

Danchenko contributed about 80% to the dossier, which has since be discredited.

In Durham's only other trial in the investigation, former Clinton campaign attorney Michael Sussmann was found not guilty in June of making false statements to the FBI regarding the collusion probe. Durham will now deliver a final report to the Justice Department.

"Durham could not get a fair shake in the Swamp of biased and partisan juries, where you are told that no Republican based or supported case can be won no matter how good it is, & judges that are so biased, unfair and angry that it is literally dangerous to be in court!" Trump also said in his tweet Thursday.

The former president said that although he was told Durham had a "great" case, it had "ZERO chance of winning" in the northern Virginia federal court.

According to Popular Mechanics, even if a U.S. ship were to detect a Zircon missile from 100 miles away, it would have only one minute to do something about it.

In order to intercept a Russian Zircon missile, the U.S. would either need to intercept it at launch or fly an object into its path.

Russia's shift to hypersonic weapons is likely a means of contending with American superiority in size, technology and sheer number of aircraft carriers. The U.S. Navy intends to maintain a force of 12 nuclear-powered aircraft carriers.

The age of Russian superweapons is upon us – at least that's what President Vladimir Putin wants us to believe.

And they are cause for concern because the United States' traditional early warning systems might not be able to see those weapons coming.

Hypersonic weapons such as Russia's 3M22 Zircon fly so fast and low at speeds of up to Mach 6 and at a low atmospheric-ballistic trajectory that they can penetrate traditional anti-missile defense systems.

The missile flies with an advanced fuel that the Russians say gives it a range of up to 1,000 kilometers. And it's so fast that the air pressure in front of the weapon forms a plasma cloud as it moves, absorbing radio waves and making it practically invisible to active radar systems.

U.S. Aegis missile interceptor systems require 8-10 seconds of reaction time to intercept incoming attacks. In those 8-10 seconds, the Russian Zircon missiles will already have traveled 20 kilometers, and the interceptor missiles do not fly fast enough to catch up.

Experts say such weapons are currently impossible for the USA to defend against.

The United States will launch a new testing programme for hypersonic weapons, as it seeks to catch up with China and Russia in the arms race.

Bill Barr joined the Trump Administration and picked up where Jeff Sessions left off. Sessions allowed the corrupt Mueller exam to continue in its attempted coup of President Trump. Then Bill Barr reportedly stopped it, but this was just a ruse.

Barr allowed the bogus first impeachment to take place. The entire case was a sham. An individual that was never identified made false accusations against the President about Ukraine where the Bidens, Clintons, George Soros, and others made lots of money over the years. President Trump hinted at looking into this and he was impeached.

Barr did nothing when Jeffrey Epstein was killed in jail. He claimed it was a suicide when all the evidence led to murder.

Barr ignored the stolen election and claimed he looked into it but evidence now shows that this was a lie.

Barr set up the investigation into the attempted coup of President Trump but no one has been held accountable. Sedition and treason are serious crimes and Barr allowed the perpetrators of these crimes to walk away unaccounted for. One former FBI attorney got his hand slapped but that is it.

This past week another bogus case concluded related to the attempted coup of the Trump Administration and another bogus result.

A federal jury found Danchenko not guilty on four counts of making false statements to the FBI regarding to the information he gave former British spy Christopher Steele’s Orbis Business Solutions. The now-discredited Steele dossier claimed that former President Donald Trump’s campaign conspired with Russia to influence the 2016 election.

“I was disappointed, obviously,” Barr said. “I think they did a good job prosecuting the case. Their ability to put evidence on in a very difficult case was limited by some rulings and they weren’t able to get access to witnesses overseas. So it was a tough case and this should show people that it’s hard to win these cases and sometimes to achieve justice. But, as people say, and as Andy McCarthy said, real public interest was being served here by exposing full corruption that was involved here in the Russia case and the abuse of the FBI and that whole episode.”

Civil court jury finds Kevin Spacey did not molest actor Anthony Rapp in 1986

A jury has concluded that Kevin Spacey did not molest actor Anthony Rapp, then 14, while both were relatively unknown actors in Broadway plays in the 1980s.

Key points:

Mr Spacey's lawyers suggested Mr Rapp imagined or made up the encounter

The verdict came on Thursday, local time, after a three-week trial in Manhattan federal court.

Jurors deliberated for a little more than an hour before deciding that Mr Rapp hadn't proven his allegations.

When the verdict was read, Spacey dropped his head.

He then hugged lawyers and others before leaving the courtroom.

That lawsuit — based on 2017 claims by Mr Rapp — sought $40 million in damages.

During the trial, Mr Rapp had testified that Mr Spacey invited him to his apartment for a party, then approached him in a bedroom after the other guests left.

He said the actor, then 26, picked him up and briefly laid on top of him on a bed.

Mr Rapp testified that he wriggled away and fled as an inebriated Mr Spacey asked if he was sure he wanted to leave.

In his sometimes-tearful testimony, Mr Spacey told the jury it never happened, and he never would have been attracted to someone who was 14.

In his closing statements to the jury, Mr Rapp's lawyer, Richard Steigman, accused Mr Spacey of lying on the witness stand.

"He lacks credibility," Mr Steigman said.

"Sometimes the simple truth is the best. The simple truth is that this happened," he said.

Mr Spacey's lawyer, Jennifer Keller, told jurors that Mr Rapp made up the encounter and said they should reject Mr Rapp's claims.

During her closing argument, she suggested reasons Mr Rapp imagined the encounter with Spacey or made it up.

Mr Rapp, 50, and Mr Spacey, 63, each testified over several days at the three-week trial.

Supreme Court Refuses To Block Biden’s Billion-Dollar Student Loan Forgiveness Scheme

Update (10/20/22 1700ET): US Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett rejected a bid to block President Joe Biden’s student-loan relief plan before it takes effect in the coming days.

Giving no explanation, Barrett denied a request filed Wednesday by the Brown County Taxpayers Association, a Wisconsin group that sought to keep the plan on hold while its legal challenge goes forward.

As Bloomberg reports, Barrett chose not to refer the matter to the full court or seek a response from the administration, suggesting she didn’t view the emergency request as a close call.

But with at least five lawsuits challenging the plan, including two filed by Republican-led states, the rebuff isn’t likely to be the final word.
