Ukraine war: Russia halts grain deal after 'massive' Black Sea Fleet attack

Russia has announced it is suspending its involvement in the internationally-brokered deal that allows Ukraine to export grain from its Black Sea ports.

It comes after Russia accused Ukraine of a "massive" drone attack on the Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol, Crimea.

Ukraine has not admitted the attack and President Volodymyr Zelensky called the Russian move "rather predictable".

Without providing evidence, Russia also accused British troops of being involved in Saturday's attack.

It also accused the UK of blowing up gas pipelines last month.

In its response, the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) said Russia was "peddling false claims of an epic scale".

Russia's defence ministry says drones used in Saturday's attack targeted ships involved in the grain deal. It said one vessel had received minor damage.

Hours later, a statement by the foreign ministry in Moscow said: "The Russian side cannot guarantee the safety of civilian dry cargo ships participating in the 'Black Sea Initiative', and suspends its implementation from today for an indefinite period."

It said the move was "in connection with the actions of the Ukrainian armed forces, which were led by British specialists" and that these actions "were directed… against Russian ships that ensured the functioning of the said humanitarian corridor".

Moscow claimed 16 aerial and maritime drones were destroyed, and that only a minesweeper had sustained damage.

It is not yet clear whether that is indeed the case, with reports suggesting that the flagship frigate was also hit. Claims and counterclaims have become part of this war.

President Zelensky said Russia's decision was not one that had been made today, but in September "when it blocked the movement of ships with our food produce".

"Why is it that some handful of individuals somewhere in the Kremlin can decide whether there will be food on the tables of people in Egypt or in Bangladesh?" he added.

Mr Zelensky said a strong international response was needed from both the UN and the world's twenty largest economies.

The White House said Russia was "weaponising food".

A UN spokesman said the organisation, which brokered the deal with Turkey, was in touch with Moscow.

It added that it was "vital that all parties refrain from any action that would imperil the Black Sea Grain Initiative", which it said was a critical humanitarian effort improving access to food for millions of people around the world.

The agreement allowed Ukraine to resume its Black Sea grain exports, which had been blocked when Russia invaded the country.

It was personally negotiated by the UN secretary general and celebrated as a major diplomatic victory that helped ease a global food crisis.

But Russia has complained that its own exports are still hindered, and had previously suggested it might not renew the deal.

In any economy, the main enemies are the investors, minimum wage, product standard rule.

If a economy do not have any investor, do not have any minimum wage, do not have any product safety, quality standard =then the unemployment rate number will be less than 2% instantly.

That’s the truth in all nations.

The minimum wage help the worker but also help the owner as well.

The minimum wage prevent and restrict people start new business.

The investors are the one who do not work but still want to receive free money via hidden controlling others using so called “company shares, ownership”.

When an entity trying do control everything in the economy through investing, which mean, they are no longer “gambling” but are directly cheating !

You need to remember 1 person cannot invest and control everything, but a group a people can.

That’s called as common group benefit.

You should using a theory and wonder: what the society would be like if there is no investor.

Well that society will not only still alive but will be much more creative, dynamic and better.

If you want to truly close the gap between the rich and the poor, reduce unemployment rate and support small businesses, then you must “attack” the investor group with all the new additional rule, law !

The last problem is the product standard rule.

This one is not much big deal but it also a real problem.

There is no any “safe” items, there is only “more safe” or “less safe” goods.

It restrict and limit the creative mind !

The best way to help the public people is via educating, not via complicated rules.

I see many nations have quality, safety standard, which is terrible and not good for human development at all !

In conclusion, if you truly want to make the economy grow healthy, reduce the society gap between people, then you must attack and remove the real enemies: investor, minimum wage, product standard regulation.

Fetterman appears at rally with Dave Matthews day after debate, says ‘it was not easy’

Democratic Pennsylvania Senate candidate John Fetterman held a campaign rally with musician Dave Matthews on Wednesday, less than one day after his only debate with Republican opponent, Dr. Mehmet Oz.

The rally in Pittsburgh came a day after Oz and Fetterman and faced off in a highly-anticipated exchange. During the broadcast, Fetterman, who suffered a stroke in May, said in his opening remarks that he might miss words during the Tuesday debate due to his ongoing auditory processing recovery.

"[The debate] was not easy after having a stroke after 5 months," Fetterman told supporters Wednesday. "In fact, I don't think that's done before in American political history before actually."

Throughout the debate, the lieutenant governor repeatedly failed to complete his thoughts and found himself unable to express ideas clearly. On Wednesday, Fetterman said his campaign raised more than $2 million in the hours after.

In front of his supporters in Pittsburgh, he characterized Oz as a "fraud" who has "made millions of dollars scamming people" during his time on television where he provided millions of viewers with what critics characterized as questionable medical advice.

"That man has no core and he will do anything for a buck, say anything for a vote," he said.

During Tuesday's debate, Oz, a celebrity heart surgeon, ignored Fetterman’s health challenges throughout the debate, instead focusing on his opponent's policies on immigration and crime and his support for President Joe Biden. Democrats seized on a comment Oz made about abortion that seemed to suggest that the decision should be left to women, doctors and local politicians.

Oz insists he supports three exceptions — for rape, for incest and to protect the life of the mother. When pressed Tuesday night, he suggested he opposes South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham’s bill to impose a nationwide ban on abortion after 15 weeks because it would allow the federal government to dictate the law to states.

"There should not be involvement from the federal government in how states decide their abortion decisions," Oz said. "As a physician, I've been in the room when there are some difficult conversations happening. I don't want the federal government involved with that at all. I want women doctors, local political leaders, letting the democracy that's always allowed our nation to thrive, to put the best ideas forward so states can decide for themselves."

On Wednesday, Fetterman doubled down on his support to codify Roe V. Wade.

"He's such a rare kind of person because he's a real person," Matthews said after being introduced on stage. "He's a working man and he works for working people."

"He's an incredible inspiration and boy I hope we get it right," he added before launching into his music set.

Fetterman, currently Pennsylvania's lieutenant governor, has received endorsements from President Biden and former President Obama.

"So when the fate of our democracy and a woman's right to choose are on the line, I know John will fight for Pennsylvanians," Obama said in a 30-second video supporting Fetterman.

Haitians former presidential candidate Eric Jean Baptiste killed

Port-au-Prince.- The former Haitian presidential candidate and general secretary of the Rassemblement des Démocrates Nationaux Progressiste (RDNP) party, Eric Jean Baptiste, was assassinated this Friday night in Port-au-Prince along with his bodyguard.

The Prime Minister of Haiti, Ariel Henry, has “strongly condemned this heinous crime” and has offered his condolences to the relatives of Baptiste, whose vehicle was shot on his way to his residence in Pétion- ville, an upper-class residential area.

PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti — The prominent leader of a Haitian political party was killed in an alleged gang attack in the capital on Friday, the latest victim of the spiraling security crisis gripping the Caribbean nation.

Eric Jean Baptiste, lottery business magnate, and a bodyguard were killed in Laboule 12, a leafy hillside area in Port-au-Prince, after attackers opened fire on their vehicle, officials said. Jean Baptiste, 52, headed the center-left Assembly of Progressive National Democrats Party and once sought Haiti’s presidency.

Ricardo Nordain, a party official, said Jean Baptiste’s armored vehicle flipped over when it was ambushed.

“He represented a lot,” Nordain said. “His assassination shows we do not have leadership in this country.”

Gangs have long had a presence in Haiti, but their power has grown in recent years amid a broader deterioration of democratic institutions and security conditions. United Nations agencies said this month that gang violence in the capital has displaced some 96,000 people and that gangs have used rape to terrorize the local population.

Laboule 12 is in the crosshairs of a gang called Ti Makak. The gang was implicated in the assassination this year of a former Haitian senator. Three police officers were also killed there last month. The conflict that began in 2020 involves a land dispute between Ti Makak and an armed group backed by Jean Mossanto Petit, a businessman.

The Haiti-based Center for Analysis and Research in Human Rights said in a report last month that Ti Makak is carrying out more shootings and kidnappings to strengthen its position in the conflict. Asked if Jean Baptiste had conflicts with the gang, Nordain said, “Honest people will always have clashes with the gangs.”

Nordain said Jean Baptiste had helped provide food, school supplies and potable water to people in need and was running a pilot project with a law faculty in Jacmel, a port town in the southern part of Haiti.

Prime Minister Ariel Henry offered his condolences to Jean Baptiste’s family on Saturday.

“The horrific assassination of the political leader Eric Jean Baptiste and his bodyguard has once against plunged the Haitian nation into turmoil,” he said in a tweet. “We strongly condemn this heinous crime against this patriot, this moderate politician committed to change.”

Some Haitians believe that Henry, who critics accuse of having done little to respond to the security crisis, is requesting outside help to stay in power. A Chinese delegate at the United Nations this month questioned whether such a force would be supported by Haitians — or would instead trigger more unrest.

The United States has proposed that a multilateral force, led by another country, be deployed to Haiti to clear the fuel blockades and address the humanitarian crisis, and Secretary of State Antony Blinken met with Canadian officials this past week to discuss the issue.

A Canadian delegation traveled to Haiti in recent days to conduct an “assessment mission” of the humanitarian and security crises, but Canadian officials were noncommittal on whether the country would join or lead the force the United States has proposed.

In the meantime, the intertwined humanitarian and security emergencies continue to deepen.

Roberson Alphonse, a well-known Haitian journalist with the newspaper Le Nouvelliste, was attacked in his car this week by armed assailants. He is recovering. In one of his last tweets, Jean Baptiste mentioned the attempt on Alphonse’s life.

“The life expectancy of people in Haiti is 24 hours,” he said. “Who will be next? Will he have the same luck?”

At the moment there is absolutely no international trading rules that make “fair” trade between nation.

You don’t need more rules about domestic trading, but at the international level, you must have to make the trading business become more fair and balance between people, groups.

First, company/corporation should be required “license” in order to have ability to buy/sell/trade at international level. While for individual person, there is no need.

There are few types of company:

– Production company. (direct produce/make products, services).

– Reseller company. (the middle man).

– Investing company. (company that using money to buy shares in any international company).

Second, if you want “fair” trading between nations, then you can have a global minimum wage that apply to all international company that receive above “license”.

How that global minimum wage will be?

Option 1: having new international currency that nations in the group accept.

Option 2: using the natural resources price as a metric.

With option 1, there is no need much to be discuss since the rate could be from 0 to 100 or whatever number.

With option 2, then the natural resources could be the oil, gas or iron, bronze, silver, gold, etc.

But should pick the one have stable price (abundant in nature and hard to cheat) like iron, bronze.

There is no need to be strict here, should be estimate value only.

Could take the average price per day or per month of the previous year ago.

Beside the minimum wage, there could be the tax rate or some new standard/rules.

If you can have a new global minimum wage rule that apply for all international companies in most nations then the trade war must stop instantly unless it involve other hidden subject.

It is important to separate between domestic company vs international company even if you don’t change or fix anything.

A Summary of Patel Patriot’s Articles on Devolution

A few weeks ago, my wife came across a series of articles written by an anonymous blogger who

proposed the possibility that President Trump’s administration is covertly being preserved by the U.S

military through a process called devolution. I realize that this idea may sound unbelievable and many

people who could not mentally adjust to Trump’s election loss convinced themselves that he had somehow

managed to remain President. In their minds, Trump was still occupying the oval office, and Biden was on

a TV set somewhere. This is not one of those theories. Rather, it is the logical conclusion one might

arrive at if they had conducted an enormous amount of research.

The word “devolution” as it is used in the context of government refers to the delegation of powers

from a central government to regional or local entities. As it pertains to this discussion, it suggests

that Trump and the military have established regional hubs of governmental authority and this fact is

known only to those who are directly involved. A number of people have uncovered documents and pieced

together key events supporting the idea that Trump put in place a mechanism by which he could remain

Commander in Chief, even as Joe Biden appears to be President.

The premise that Trump could do this is based on the idea that America has been in an undeclared war

with China since at least January of 2020. Trump has said on several occasions that when China allowed

covid-19 to escape Wuhan, they committed an act of war. When the U.S. is at war—even when it is an

undeclared war—the President has powers not available to him in peacetime. These powers do not require

congressional approval and many times when they are exercised, the public is not aware. The President

can, in wartime, take whatever steps are deemed necessary to save the Republic.

The devolution theory revolves around a number of presidential memoranda, executive orders, and odd

personnel changes made in 2020 related to national security. The key players involved are Chris Miller,

Kash Patel, and Ezra Cohen-Watnick, who held positions in the Pentagon and the National Counterterrorism

Center prior to, and after the election.

Central to the devolution theory is that Trump knew the election would be stolen by a foreign power,

and he viewed this as an act of war. In response, he preemptively and covertly took steps to invalidate

the outcome of the election. The measures he took are known only to a handful of people, but they

effectively make him the true Commander in Chief. A decision was made to allow the public to believe Joe

Biden is President, but at a later date, we will be informed of the truth.

Further, the theory proposes that a few key military assets around the country are covertly

supporting Trump, while most of the military believes Biden is calling the shots. At a future time—

perhaps when indisputable evidence of election fraud is made public—the military and Trump will make

their big reveal.

One objection to the theory is the adoption of “woke” ideology by military leaders. Critics say that

the military has gone soft and would not support Trump today. The U.S. military is comprised of

approximately one million people who come from all walks of life, who espouse diverse ideologies and have

different loyalties. It’s a gross oversimplification to say “the military is corrupt,” or “the military

is woke.” The military is highly compartmentalized. The ideologies and loyalties of one group are not

universally embraced by other groups.

Members of Special Operations teams are selected from a large number of applicants based on specific

criteria including loyalty. You’re not going to find wokeism being promoted in their ranks. These men and

women are patriots, and the devolution articles suggest that these are the very people Trump is working

with.
