The G-7 plans are likely to send oil prices higher (despite US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen claiming the opposite) and reduce tanker availability, both of which will threaten India’s energy security and hurt its economy as India is the third-largest consumer and importer of oil worldwide.

I think you're making a mistake in the way you frame "privacy". I would read the Cypherpunk Manifesto, in which the differences between "privacy" and "secrecy" are elucidated.

Secrecy in our economic system is what caused this. If we use the word "privacy" properly, Bitcoin and hell, maybe some future currency that does the job better, can accomplish that. See, what we really want is to be free from advertisers who buy our data from "free" services, from broadcasting our transaction data and plenty more.

The difference between these scenarios I'm painting is pretty transparent: in the current paradigm, everything you do is monitored and catalogued. While you do get lost in the input saturation, said saturation would be even more compelling in a situation where the system hasn't fully adapted to the advertisement framework and even the logistical framework (but there's more implications that I'm sure you can intuit).

Once again, I urge you to do your own research and learn to extrapolate.
