Russian Oil Executive Dies 'Suddenly,' Found Hanged in Office, Marking Company's 4th Management Death Since Ukraine Invasion

The list of dead executives from one of Russia’s largest oil companies keeps increasing, and raising suspicions.

 

Knewz.com has learned about the latest death at the top of Lukoil. A vice president died “suddenly” Tuesday, March 12, the company revealed in a statement.

 

Vitaly Robertus was 54, and praised in the statement as ”a talented leader, a versatile person, and a sympathetic comrade.”

 

But Robertus may have killed himself. Several Telegram channels reviewed by Newsweek reported Thursday, March 14 that he was found “hanged” in his office.

 

“Before his death, he allegedly complained of headaches,” the ASTRA channel claimed.

 

“On the eve of his death, his acquaintances saw him in a sober mind and in good health,” the VChK-OGPU channel added.

But former Ukrainian government adviser Anton Gerashchenko cited an unnamed “source” who said Senior Vice President Oleg Pashaev found Robertus’s body in a private bathroom after knocking on his office door.

 

“Robertus was complaining that Pashaev was stalking him and making his life difficult,” Gerashchenko posted on X (formerly Twitter).

 

When first responders arrived, “employees told them that the atmosphere at Lukoil has been very stressful recently and the vice-president was very nervous,” Gerashchenko added.

 

A separate post by Gerashchenko claimed gasoline prices across Russia are at a six-month high, due to Ukrainian drone attacks damaging oil depots that Knewz.com has documented. Gas exports reportedly have been banned since Friday, March 1.

 

The Sun tabloid noted from Britain that Robertus worked for Lukoil for more than 30 years. He also was a champion at designing and flying model planes.

 

But Kremlin-watchers wonder if there’s a deadly trend, since three other top officials at Lukoil have died since Russia attacked Ukraine 25 months ago.

 

Front Page Detectives reported in October 2023 on the death of Lukoil chairman of the board Vladimir Nekrasov at his home. That death at 66 was blamed on “acute heart failure.”

 

Before that, Knewz.com covered the most suspicious-looking Lukoil death in the summer of 2022.

 

Chairman Ravil Maganov, 67, reportedly fell out of a hospital window “following a severe illness.” He was a patient on the sixth floor of Moscow’s top-level Central Clinical Hospital.

 

Former Lukoil executive Alexander Subbotin, 43, died in May 2022. That was blamed on a heart attack, but rumors in Russia claim he was poisoned with toad venom provided by a shaman in a “Jamaican voodoo ritual.”

 

Why might the Kremlin have something against Lukoil and its officials?

 

One theory is that Lukoil called for negotiations to end the violence against Ukraine. While Knewz.com has noted Russian officials are accepting that view now, it was once considered a sign of disloyalty to President Vladimir Putin.

 

But if the suicide explanation for Robertus is true, it would not be unlike recent deaths of executives in the United States.

 

CNN recalled the co-founder of Dave & Buster’s entertainment centers apparently died by suicide in early 2023. The chief executive of Atlanta’s MARTA transportation system killed himself in early 2022, according to WAGA-TV.

 

A branch of Lukoil operates gas stations in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. It purchased what was known as Getty Oil in 2000.

Judge Cannon Takes Wrecking Ball to Trump Classified Docs Case Citing Robert Hur’s Report

Former President Donald Trump appeared in a Florida courtroom on Thursday to appeal his classified documents case,while citing Special Counsel Robert Hur’s decision not to bring charges against sitting President Joe Biden.

 

Hur’s report showed that Joe Biden not only willfully and intentionally mishandled classified documents, stored them in multiple insecure locations, and procured them while Senator and Vice President, but he also misled federal investigators, obstructed justice, and divulged national security secrets.

Biden’s leaks of classified information are deemed to be so serious that the Intelligence Community is now performing a “damage assessment” to ascertain the extent they compromised national security.

 

Judge Cannon on Thursday, as reported by legal analyst Julie Kelly, took a wrecking ball to the Department of Justice’s case against Donald Trump.

Cannon pressed both defense and Special Counsel to explain when the "crime" of willful retention of national defense information begins–she noted the date in Jack Smith's indictment as to when Trump first violated the Espionage Act.

“Robert Hur report and testimony is the biggest elephant in the room,” Kelly noted. “The term ‘arbitrary enforcement’ used frequently by both the defense and Judge Aileen Cannon.”

 

“Cannon hammered thefact no former president or vice president has been charged under Espionage Actfor taking and keeping classified records including national defense information–which represents 32 counts against Trump in Jack Smith’s indictment,” she continued.

 

“Prediction: Cannon won’t dismiss the case based on the motions debated today–vagueness of Espionage Act and protection under the Presidential Records Act,” she added.“But it’s very likely she will dismiss the case based on selective prosecution, a motion still pending before her,” she stated.

 

Kelly provided more information on the courtroom developments.

• “Cannon pressed both defense and Special Counsel to explain when the ‘crime’ of willful retention of national defense information begins–she noted the date in Jack Smith’s indictment as to when Trump first violated the Espionage Act,” she said. “January 20, 2021, the day he left office.”

• “Jay Bratt, representing special counsel office, confirmed the ‘crime’ began that day because as a former president, he was entitled to retain the documents,” she also noted.

• “Cannon again asked forhistorical precedent as to when a former president or vice president faced charges for similar conduct. Bratt of course said there isnone.”

• “She added ‘vice president’ on numerous occasions for a reason–Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, and Mike Penceall skated on criminal charges,” Kelly went on. “Trump is the only one who has not.”

•“Cannon: ‘Arbitrary enforcement… is featuring in this case’. Cannon also addressed the ‘foreseeability’ as to Trump’s awareness he was committing a crime by keeping classified/national defense information,” she added.

• “Given the constellation of what happened before”–meaning no criminal prosecution of former presidentsincluding Bill Clinton and Ronald Reagan and vice presidents–Cannon suggested Trump could have reasonably expected he was in the clear,” she went on.

 

That is as clear a signal that the Trump classified documents case is in peril as could have arisen out of the day’s courtroom proceedings. While both cases may contain elements of technical illegalities,Donald Trump’s case is far less egregious than Joe Biden’s, given the fact Trump was a sitting president with ultimate declassification authority; he stored the documents at Mar-a-Lago, his authorized presidential office away from the White House; and he has further protection by the Presidential Records Act.

 

Thus, in the event of a “guilty” verdict in the Trump case, it will be a case of “selective and vindictive prosecution” — as blatant a case of election interference in U.S. history. A Trump guilty verdict would thus be a political outcome subverting the will of American voters. It would be the true “attack on democracy” that the Democratic Party is dishonestly protesting about, while it interferes in America’s elections and compromises institutions such as the rule of law.

 

If Judge Cannon dismissed the Trump classified documents case with prejudice, it would be a true victory for “democracy.”

Trump demanded justice for the 22-year-old nursing student, who was slain by a Venezuelan migrant named Jose Ibarra whom the Biden administration refused to deport.

 

Trump delivered a strong statement on behalf of Laken Riley in front of a Rome, Georgia campaign rally and with Riley’s parents in attendance.

 

“Laken Riley would be alive today if Joe Biden had not willfully and maliciously eviscerated the borders of the United States and set loose thousands and thousands of dangerous criminals into our country,” Trump said.

Decades of animal research point to serious health risks from cellphone radiation exposure, but examining a possible link stops now.

 

The National Toxicology Program (NTP), tasked with studying potential toxins, recently announced it would no longer investigate evidence that cellphone radiation can harm animals or people. The move stunned scientists like Devra Davis, a former senior adviser to the assistant secretary for Health in the Department of Health and Human Services, who called the abrupt reversal scientifically unjustified.

 

There’s “no scientific explanation or justification for this sudden reversal,” Ms. Davis told The Epoch Times.

 

Unpublished NTP Research Undermines Decision to Halt Cellphone Radiation Studies

The NTP recently claimed that additional radiofrequency radiation (RFR) studies are not planned, stating the research was “technically challenging and more resource-intensive than expected.”

 

Ms. Davis criticized this decision, noting that technical challenges are not a reason to avoid studying something that appears to cause cancer in animals. “Everything that we know for sure causes cancer in people will produce it in animals when adequately studied,” she added.

 

Despite admitting to developing a novel small-scale RFR exposure system in 2019 to clarify earlier findings, the NTP canceled further investigations. This system only studied older 2G and 3G devices, not newer 4G or 5G technologies.

 

Ms. Davis, a former NTP advisor, said she helped recommend smaller test chambers. The agency takes years to plan studies, so scrapping this project is “beyond my comprehension at this point,” given millions of children’s daily exposure, she noted.

 

In an emailed statement, the NTP confirmed that although work on the small-scale exposure system and accompanying research has been completed, the results will be publicly available and posted on the agency’s webpage only “when internal reviews are finished.” As of this writing, the 2019 research remains unpublished.

The issue originated with a CNN report in which Rodgers was accused of sharing Sandy Hook shooting conspiracy theories in a conversation with CNN anchor Pamela Brown at the 2013 Kentucky Derby. Another source was also cited accusing Rodgers of making claims "several years ago."

 

The report dropped after Rodgers was named a possible running mate for Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s independent presidential campaign.

 

Rodgers hasn’t commented on that speculation.

Fugitive leader of Haiti's 'Cannibal Army' found shot to death

GONAIVES, Haiti (AP) –Police fired tear gas at crowds who burned tires and blocked streets on Tuesday to protest the killing of Amiot Metayer, a prison escapee whose bullet-riddled body was found on a sidestreet.

Metayer, 39, a longtime supporter of President Jean-Bertrand Aristide and leader of the so-called "Cannibal Army," was found Monday night. He was shot once in each eye and once through the heart, said Daniel Jean-Charles, the central government's representative.

Some viewed Metayer as a hoodlum, whose gang allegedly terrorized government opponents and rivals. But others viewed him as a Robin Hood of sorts, who lavished slumdwellers with gifts.

"We all loved Metayer," said Jean Felix, a 35-year-old mechanic, hours after police fired tear gas at protesters.

Metayer was arrested on arson charges on May 21, 2002, in connection with an alleged attack on a rival gang in Gonaives. He broke out of prison in August 2002 with help from supporters. Within days, he was allegedly back in Gonaives terrorizing Aristide opponents and others.

"He is better off dead," said opposition leader and former Sen. Paul Denis. "The government he worked for had no interest in having him appear before a court of justice to answer for his crimes."

Witnesses said Metayer and the Cannibal Army spent months burning down houses and assaulting Aristide opponents.

In November, seven journalists went into hiding after members of the group allegedly attacked a radio station.

According to an Organization of American States report, Metayer had also participated in other attacks on Aristide's opponents, including a Dec. 17 assault on the residence of politician Luc Mesadieu in Gonaives.

Mesadieu's assistant, Ramy Daran, was doused with gasoline and burned to death. Mesadieu said he saw Metayer giving the order to kill Daran. At least 20 houses were torched.

Authorities failed to recapture Metayer, saying they did not want to raid his seaside shantytown stronghold of Raboteau and risk sparking a violent confrontation. In May of 2003, a judge withdrew Metayer's arrest warrant, saying there were no grounds for the arson case against him.

Some residents blamed Aristide's government for the death.

"Before we cried Aristide or death, now we say that Aristide is not worthy to

hold elections," said Senatus Pierre-Antoine, 35, of the Popular Organiztion for a Democratic Raboteau, founded by Metayer.

Government spokesman Mario Dupuy said people were looking for an excuse not to hold elections.

"The opposition wants to see mayhem in Gonaives. That would justify their position against holding elections." Dupuy said.

Staffers who are the targets of unwanted sexual advances on Capitol Hill should not have to endure a lengthy mediation process and pay the legal bills as lawmakers secretly draw on a mysterious slush fund to settle the accusations against them, an advocate for taxpayers argues.

In the event of a monetary settlement of sexual harassment complaints, members of Congress can draw on a taxpayer-funded account set up within the Treasury Department to cover their legal expenses and settle cases.

The account has paid out $17 million in the past 10 years, public records show, although it is not clear how much of that was for cases of sexual harassment.

"Right now, it's very unclear to the taxpayer where this money is going," Grace Morgan, director of external affairs for the Washington-based Taxpayers Protection Alliance, told The Daily Signal in a phone interview.

As China marks 40 years of Reform and Opening Up, the Fairbank Centerpresents a visualization of China’s contemporary economic governance. Building on our previous infographic on China’s Leaders of Party and State, this infographic explains the role of each Politburo Standing Committee (PSC) member in the economic governance of the country, as well as the responsibilities of the country’s top economic officials, who mostly reside under the State Council (China’s central government).

 

The Premier of the State Council, by law, is in overall charge of the State Council bureaucracy. Vice Premiers, including the first-ranked Vice Premier with a PSC seat, and State Councilors, have specific areas of responsibility (分管领域) represented by their assigned ministry-level organs.

 

Each Vice Premier (and sometimes State Councilor) is also in charge of key policy initiatives that often require the participation of ministers overseen by other Vice Premiers (and/or other PSC or Politburo members if they fall outside the economic bureaucracy). In these cases, a coordinating body (议事协调机构) is usually established and chaired by the person in charge. In other words, even though most ministers are assigned to a specific Vice Premier or State Councilor who have primary oversight over them (which is how they are displayed in the infographic), ministers also report to other leaders for specific tasks. An office of the coordinating body is usually placed within a relevant ministry, which is overseen by a chair or vice chair to manage the day-to-day affairs of the body.

 

For example, the State Council Leading Group on Advancing the Development of Small and Medium Size Enterprises is chaired by Vice Premier Liu He, and has its office at the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, which Liu himself oversees. One of the three Vice Chairs of the group is the Minister of Finance, who is overseen by Han Zheng. The 19 members of the group consist of vice minister-rank officials, who represent a variety of government bodies that could impact the development of SMEs.

 

In the infographic, the heads of the “constituent organs” (i.e. the ministries and commissions”) of the State Council (国务院组成部门) are displayed if they are overseen by a Vice Premier or State Councilor with an economic portfolio.

 

Ministries like defense and foreign affairs are omitted because they are overseen by other Politburo or PSC members. Due to limited space, only some heads of the ministry-rank “directly subordinated organs” of the State Council (国务院直属机构) are displayed. A “*” is placed next to an organ if its minister/head does not concurrently serve as its Communist Party Secretary.

It is generally accepted the Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion was a forgery. In 1921 the London Times produced conclusive proof that the Protocols were a forgery, describing the Protocols as a “clumsy forgery”. Most of the passages of the Protocols have been taken from a French political satire that never mentioned Jews – Maurice Joly’s Dialogue in Hell Between Machiavelli and Montesquieu (1864). The phrasing between the two texts is almost identical.

 

The protocols would come to play a significant part in the Jewish Holocaust. They had a serious influence on Adolf Hitler who mentioned them frequently in Mein Kampf. The Nazi party published 23 editions of the Protocols before the start of World War II.

 

In 1935 a Swiss court declared the Protocols as “ridiculous nonsense” and “obvious forgeries”. The US Senate issued a report in 1964 that the Protocols were fabricated. However even while the Protocols were ridiculed by many, it also had quite a following. In 1974 it was published in India under the title International Conspiracy Against Indians. In 2004 the Protocols were published in Japan. In 2005 an edition of the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, authorized by the Syrian Ministry of Information, claims that the Elders of Zion coordinated September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the United States.

 

It is worth noting that the Bible is only mentioned once in the Protocols and that the Old Testament is quoted in Latin. The Protocols also claim that the Jewish elites had a hand in the French revolutions. However, this is cited as evidence largely discrediting the work of the protocols. At the time of the French revolution, there were only a handful of Jews who were, by and large, the subjects of antisemitism. However, this can also be construed in the opposite light, that there was antisemitic behavior followed by unrest and upheaval, meaning that the antisemitism was proven correct.

 

Despite the declaration that the Protocols are a forgery, there are still many followers, described as Neo-Nazi, White Supremacists and Holocaust deniers. Books based on the Holocaust are disseminated worldwide and has a surprising following in Japan, where there are little Jews. The Arab and Islamic world actively teach the protocols to children. It is often used to justify terrorism against Israeli citizens. There is no denying that it is a forgery, however a very accurate one.

The Three-fifths Compromise was an agreement reached during the 1787 United States Constitutional Convention over the inclusion of slaves in a state's total population. Slave holding states wanted their entire population to be counted to determine the number of Representatives those states could elect and send to Congress. Free states wanted to exclude the counting of slave populations in slave states, since those slaves had no voting rights. A compromise was struck to resolve this impasse. The compromise counted three-fifths of each state's slave population toward that state's total population for the purpose of apportioning the House of Representatives, effectively giving the Southern states more power in the House relative to the Northern states. It also gave slaveholders similarly enlarged powers in Southern legislatures; this was an issue in the secession of West Virginia from Virginia in 1863. Free blacks and indentured servants were not subject to the compromise, and each was counted as one full person for representation.

 

In the United States Constitution, the Three-fifths Compromise is part of Article 1, Section 2, Clause 3. Section 2 of the Fourteenth Amendment (1868) later superseded this clause and explicitly repealed the compromise.

Was really cool to watch that this morning. Anon is no rocket surgeon. But if you watch that video anon thinks you can see control issues as they try to get to face the heat of re-entry belly first. With the heat shielded half of the Starship taking the heat. But it doesn;t look like that is what happened.
