The only reason Joe Biden isn’t facing charges over the classified documents scandal is because his memory is shot to hell. It’s amazing how a man, who we’re told is not “sharp enough” to answer for his crimes, is still considered “mentally fit” to lead the most powerful country in the world. Today, the spectacle continues as Special Counsel Robert Hur takes the stage before a House committee to discuss the Biden classified documents ordeal. As you digest this summary of the day’s events, please remember that President Trump, who was within his rights to possess the documents he had, securely locked away, faced a politically weaponized FBI raid and a sham indictment. Meanwhile, Biden, with no legal authority to hold onto those classified documents (or give them to his ghostwriter) carelessly kept in an unsecured garage beside his Corvette, walks away without a scratch. The double standards are downright stomach-turning.

And notice how NPR tries to run cover for Joe and gloss over the fact that he’s basically a dementia patient.

As Hur states to the committee,Biden “willfully” held onto classified documents while he was a private citizen.

And if that wasn’t bad enough, Hur also testified thatBiden’s ghostwriter attempted to “destroy” evidence. Is that man sane enough to stand trial, or not? We’ll probably never know.

During a hearing of the House Armed Services Committee on Tuesday, Department of Defense officials testified that they are preparing for the possibility of an influx of Haitian illegal immigrants coming to the US as the Caribbean nation has fallen into chaos.

Rep Matt Gaetz pressed the officials during the hearing to state "what we are doing to prepare for that wave and to ensure that these people are not paroled into the United States as the administration has done with people on the southern border, but instead are repatriated back at the dock at Port-au-Prince?"

Assistant Secretary of Defense for Homeland Defense and Global Security Rebecca Zimmerman responded that the department is "doing a number of things to ensure that we’re keeping track of the situation and we’re prepared."

"At the moment we have not yet seen large numbers, what we would characterize as a maritime mass migration, but we are alert to that possibility. I think you’re right that the driving conditions in Haiti could very well press more people."

She said that additional assistance has been approved for the Coast Guard, to which Gaetz responded that he had "talked to the Coast Guard, and what they say would really support them would be more naval vessels, would be DoD support."

"And because I think you correctly said that there is an anticipated mass migration here, there are specific legal authorities that we can access that I would implore you to access, specifically, George W. Bush signed Executive Order 13276. And in that executive order, there is the ability for any president to designate an anticipated mass migration, and get gray hull naval vessels into the straits of Florida to deter that migration and then to reach Patriot those people before they get to Florida," the congressman continued.

In a State Department fact sheet for “sweeping new actions to manage regional migration,” Haitian nationals qualify for a “new family reunification parole processes” that allows illegal immigrants to come to the US on a “case-by-case basis.” This is in addition to the 30,000 illegal immigrants that are being brought from Haiti among other countries.

The definition of being on “parole” in the US immigration system is “an individual who is paroled into the United States has not been formally admitted into the United States for purposes of immigration law.”

Israel Temporarily Evacuates 68 Palestinian Orphans From Rafah to West Bank at Germany's Request

The German embassy in Tel Aviv said that evacuation aimed to immediately remove the children from 'acute' danger and is temporary, and is not intended as a permanent relocation. The IDF conducted the operation under the instructions of the Israeli government

68 Palestinian children, along with 11 caretakers, were evacuated from an orphanage in Rafah, Gaza Strip, to Bethlehem in the West Bank as part of a humanitarian operation approved by Israel, the German Embassy in Tel Aviv announced on Tuesday.

According to the embassy, the evacuation aimed to immediately remove the children from "acute" danger and is temporary, and is not intended as a permanent relocation. The IDF conducted the evacuation under the instructions of the Israeli government.

The statement expressed gratitude to Israel for this "important humanitarian gesture."

In the embassy's statement, it was mentioned that in November, the 'SOS Children's Villages' organization reached out to Germany's Foreign Minister, Annalena Baerbock, seeking assistance for their branch in Rafah. "We are relieved that our efforts were successful," the statement read, "and we want to thank everyone involved."

Blinken says US to give another $133 million for crisis-hit Haiti

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Monday promised another $133 million to support Haiti, saying the spiraling crisis showed the urgency of deploying a multinational force.

Addressing an emergency Caribbean conference in Jamaica, Blinken said the United States would commit another $100 million to the forthcoming Multinational Security Support Mission plus an immediate $33 million in humanitarian aid, bringing total US pledges for Haiti during the years-long crisis to $333 million.

Haiti has been plagued for decades by grinding poverty, natural disasters and political instability but things got much worse since the assassination of president Jovenel Moise in 2021. Well-armed gangs that control much of the country and most of the capital have been on a rampage since last week.

The escalating violence “creates an untenable situation for the Haitian people, and we all know that urgent action is needed both on the political and security tracks,” Blinken said.

“Only the Haitian people can determine their own future — not anyone else,” Blinken said.

But he said that the United States and its partners “can help restore foundational security” and address “the tremendous suffering that Haitians are suffering.”

Canada — whose prime minister, Justin Trudeau, participated virtually in the talks — earlier offered more than 91 million US dollars for Haiti.

Other countries that have announced financial or logistical contributions include Benin, France, Germany, Jamaica and Spain, according to US officials.

President Joe Biden has ruled out sending troops to Haiti, which the United States occupied for nearly two decades a century ago and where it has intervened since.

Biden withdrew troops from Afghanistan in 2021 and has vowed to limit risks to US troops.

After the Biden administration declined to send troops, eyes turned to Canada, which also decided that a Haiti mission was too dangerous with success uncertain.

Kenya stepped forward but was set back by a domestic court ruling against the deployment to Haiti.

The Kenyan deployment plan has again picked up steam after Prime Minister Ariel Henry visited Nairobi and agreed on a “reciprocal” exchange of forces between the two countries.

Henry was blocked from returning to Haiti by the intensifying violence. He is stranded in the US territory of Puerto Rico as the United States and Caribbean leaders encourage him to step away.

Sudan's army claims control of state broadcast HQ

Sudan's army said on Tuesday (March 12) that it had taken control of the state broadcaster in what would be its most significant advance against its rival, the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces, in nearly 11 months of war.

A video posted by the army showed some of its troops near the radio and TV building.

It was verified by Reuters using buildings, including the domes and minarets of the Khalifa mosque, which matched with previous footage and satellite imagery.

The broadcast building lies in Omdurman, a city across the River Nile from the capital Khartoum.

It has seen heavy fighting around military bases, bridges and supply routes.

War erupted between the army and the RSF in April last year.

The two sides had fallen out of a plan for transitioning to civilian rule.

The conflict has devastated the capital, led to waves of ethnically driven killings in the western Darfur region, and created the world's biggest displacement crisis.

Battles have continued despite a truce call from the United Nations Security Council during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, which began on Monday (March 11).

That was to allow much-needed humanitarian aid into the country.

However, a senior army general, citing gains in Omdurman, said a ceasefire could only take place if the RSF withdrew from civilian and public sites.

The army has been on the back foot for much of the conflict.

However, the capture of the state broadcast building would extend its control from the north across "old Omdurman".

The RSF, which made no immediate comment, retains southern and western areas of the city.

For a majority of people, minimizing collateral losses, social unification, and standing as one against an enemy will work.

A pair of Staten Island lawyers offered Tuesday to represent any Big Apple firefighter for free if they get jammed up for booing state Attorney General Letitia James at last week’s raucous promotion ceremony.

Lawyers Mark Fonte and Louis Gelormino said the firefighters had the right to voice their support for Donald Trump and to lambast James, who has been prosecuting him — as FDNY Commissioner Laura Kavanaugh threatens to discipline the jeering Bravest.

“If you are being ‘hunted down’ by FDNY brass for exercising your freedom of speech contact our office at once,” the men’s firm, F&G Legal Group, wrote in a letter to the Fire Department’s rank-and-file.

“We always answer the call. We stand ready to assist New York’s Bravest,” the letter said.

The firm has already sued the city over its COVID mandates and the location of some migrant shelters.

This time, they are rushing to the defense of firefighters after a cluster of smoke-eaters booed and jeered James during Thursday’s ceremony at the Christian Cultural Center in Brooklyn.

The disgruntled group voiced support for former President Trump, who was hit with a $454 million judgment last month in a civil suit filed by James’ office.

“If they have a right to applaud, they have a right to boo or express their displeasure,” Fonte told The Post on Tuesday.

“If you invite a controversial figure to speak, you have to expect pushback,” he said. “The people at fault are the FDNY brass who are greatly out of touch with their workers.”

Kavanagh deployed the department’s Bureau of Investigations and Trials to track down the offenders by combing through video footage of the event and has said firefighters who crossed the line could face discipline, although she has not specified what that could be.

The controversy heated up further when Kavanagh returned to the church Sunday and apologized for the conduct of several firefighters during the event, calling their actions “unprofessional.”

Some Bravest who later spoke to The Post jeered that as well while defending the anti-James boos.

Leaked internal memos detailed the department’s objection to the boos and cautioned members of the fire service to keep their political views to themselves while on duty.

“When you’re not on duty, feel however you want about politicians,” said a memo distributed at Big Apple firehouses Sunday. “Vote. Protest. That’s your right. But don’t do it on the job’s time, on other members’ time, or on their families’ time. Do it on your own time.”

Officials at the Uniformed Firefighters Association, the union representing the rank and file, said in a statement that the smoke-eaters’ rowdy response to James as “disappointing.”

But union President Andrew Ansbro also urged any firefighter who gets into hot water over the incident to keep their mouths shut and reach out so the union can rep them.

“We will strongly defend any of our members who face discipline,” Ansbro wrote.
