Yet, judging from the presidential debate between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris, we have officially entered the post-truth political era. ABC News has been widely criticized for the bias of the two moderators Linsey Davis and David Muir. Even liberal outlets acknowledged that the two journalists seemed inclined to “fact check” only Trump. In the meantime, they allowed clearly false statements from Harris go unchallenged.

Does anyone have ANYTHING to support this BlackBetty post? Particularly the statement about the CCTV video? I got this as a screenshot on a video I watched. It says:

 

"On the 19th of October 2019 Dr Zhengli Shi took a bus from Wuhan's Institute of Technology to the (real location of the) P4 lab, roughly 16 miles.

 

"She stopped one time half-way through her journey, opened her suitcase and placed a block of contaminated dry ice near an air vent at the fish market in question. This particular market was chosen because it is in the same building as hub of the world's largest high-speed rail network, and because it was not outside of her regular route of travel.

 

"The event was captured on CCTV."

 

If the flag on the post is accurate, it appears that the anon posted this from Australia.

 

The date mentioned is noteworthy because the 2019 Military World Games opened in Wuhan just the day before. These games were held October 18–27, 2019. The city would have been full of military personnel from all over the world. It is reported that participants became ill during their visit.

BREAKING NEWS Shots fired at Trump National Golf Club with former president on site

 

Multiple shots were fired near Donald Trump's golf club in West Palm Beach.

 

The former president was golfing at his south Florida club on Sunday as news of the shooting emerged.

 

'President Trump is safe following gunshots in his vicinity,' Trump campaign communications director Steven Cheung said in a statement. 'No further details at this time.'

 

It comes just two months after Trump was shot in the ear during an assassination attempt at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania on July 13.

 

Trump’s golf club is just five miles from his residence at his Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach and is where the former president is often spotted golfing when he is not on the campaign trail.

The Secret Service is responding to a shooting outside Donald Trump’s golf club in West Palm Beach, Florida, as the former president was leaving, according to law enforcement sources.

Donald Trump was taken was safety by the Secret Service after agents opened fire on a man who was spotted with a what may have been a gun while the former president was on the links, according to law enforcement sources.

Sources said the Secret Service spotted a suspicious individual on the Trump International Golf Course West Palm Beach, and opened fire when agents saw what appeared to be the barrel of a gun.

An agent opened fire, shooting multiple times.

“President Trump is safe following gunshots in his vicinity. No further details at this time,” Trump spokesman Steven Cheung said Sunday afternoon.

The man was later arrested by local police on I-95.

It comes almost exactly two months after Thomas Matthew Crooks shot Trump at a rally in Butler, Pa. on July 13 — wounding him in the ear.

Sen. Lindsey Graham took to X minutes after news of the shooting broke to laud the former president for his fortitude.

“Just spoke with President Trump. He is one of the strongest people I’ve ever known. He’s in good spirits and he is more resolved than ever to save our country.”

The West Palm Beach course is about five miles inland from Mar-a-Lago, which Trump dubbed the “Winter White House.”

The Secret Service — which came under widespread criticism following the July assassination attempt — wrote on X that it was investigating a “protective incident” involving the former president that occurred shortly before 2 p.m.

The agency said it’s coordinating with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s office on the investigation.

Initial reports suggested two people were firing at each other. However, sources said investigators now believe the Secret Service agent was the only shooter.

Houthis strike central Israel

 

The Yemeni armed group has said it used its “new hypersonic ballistic missile” in the attack

 

A missile fired from Yemen struck central Israel on Sunday morning, according to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). The Houthis, an armed group which controls much of northern Yemen, have claimed responsibility for the attack.

 

The missile entered Israeli airspace from the east and fell in an open area, the IDF said in a message on X (formerly Twitter). There were no casualties as a result of the incident, it added.

 

In a later post, the Israeli military said that the attack had originated in Yemen. It also clarified that the explosive sounds that were heard above central Israel had been made by the IDF’s interceptors, which were fired at the incoming projectile.

 

Sirens were activated in the area from Tel-Aviv on the Mediterranean coast to the city of Modiin some 25km (18 miles) to its south-east at around 6:30am local time, the Times of Israel reported.

 

According to the paper, a missile reportedly hit an open area and caused a fire in the Ben Shemen forest, a few kilometers away from Ben Gurion International Airport outside Tel-Aviv. Shrapnel also damaged a train station on the outskirts of Modiin, and the police are looking for missile debris in other areas, it added.

The next step may be programming any verboten viewpoints into the realm of “conspiracy theory,” then having powerful computers challenge human users to a battle of logic that inevitably is stacked against them with cherrypicked data.

 

The study, titled “Durably reducing conspiracy beliefs through dialogues with AI,” attempted to counter the common view that some people will not change their minds, even when presented with facts and evidence.

 

Addressing the problem of “widespread belief in unsubstantiated conspiracy theories,” researchers postulated that conspiracy theories can, contrary to the scientific narrative, be countered by way of systematic fact-checking.

 

Among those theories tested were more traditional conspiracies such as those involving the assassination of John F. Kennedy or the possibility of alien landings that were known to the United States government.

 

But others included more immediately politicized claims, such as the lawfulness of COVID lockdowns or the validity of the 2020 presidential election, both of which are a “major source of public concern.”

 

The study was conducted by having conspiratorial participants engage in brief conversations with AI, with the aim of “curing” the participants of their ostensibly false opinions.

 

Researchers concluded that “the treatment reduced participants’ belief in their chosen conspiracy theory by 20% on average,” suggesting that “treating” people with certain facts can indeed alter their opinions, particularly when those facts come from AI bots.

 

The “treatment” received also reportedly “persisted undiminshed for at least 2 months,” meaning that such conditioning could eventuate in regular treatment for those deemed conspiracy theorists.

 

Ultimately, then, AI conditioning was determined to be a potentially useful tool in addressing the “psychological needs and motivations” of such people. Researchers speculated that the technology could be implemented online in the coming years, particularly in online forums or on social media.

 

David Rand, a professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology who co-authored the study, told reporters that he was optimistic about the future of AI conditioning.

 

“This is really exciting,” he said. “It seemed like it worked and it worked quite broadly.”

Sources I spoke with informed me that the USSS advance team was scouting the holes ahead of President Trump as he was golfing. Agents spotted the suspect in the tree line in possession of a semi-automatic rifle which they believe to be an AK-47 or similar. Chief Justice John Roberts strong-armed his fellow Supreme Court judges into allowing him the key role in cases involving Donald Trump, leaked memos reveal.

 

The conservative judge took the lead in March’s case on whether states could remove the former president from their ballots over his role in the January 6 attack on the Capitol.

 

Roberts demanded a unanimous decision from the bench according to memos leaked to the New York Times.

 

He also took charge of the case concerning prosecution of the January 6 rioters himself from Justice Samuel Alitoafter his fellow conservative was embroiled in a row about his wife flying the Stars and Stripes upside down from their home.

 

Roberts told his colleagues they should take the case after an appellate court ruled that Trump did not enjoy presidential immunity for his alleged role in trying to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.

 

'As I read it, it says simply a former president can be prosecuted because he’s being prosecuted,' he said of the lower court's judgment.

 

And he made no secret of the what he thought his colleagues should decide.

 

'I think it likely that we will view the separation of powers analysis differently,' he wrote in a February memo.

 

Some conservatives wanted to delay a decision until after November's presidential election. But Roberts demanded an early decision and then insisted on writing the opinion himself.

 

'In a case like this one, focusing on ‘transient results’ may have profound consequences for the separation of powers and for the future of our Republic,' he wrote loftily. 'Our perspective must be more farsighted.'

 

The decision was a hammer blow to judicial attempts at prosecuting the former president.

 

And Roberts failed to secure the unanimity he was demanding, prompting a scathing dissent from liberal justice Sonia Sotomayor lamenting that the judgment had given Trump 'all the immunity he asked for and more'.

 

She warned that it protected 'treasonous acts', transformed the president into 'a king above the law' and led her to 'fear for our democracy'.

 

But he won warm praise from conservatives on the court for his proactive work with Justice Brett Kavanaugh thanking him for his 'extraordinary opinion', and 'exceptional work'.

 

All nine justices had been minded to strike out Colorado's attempt to remove Trump from the ballot, the paper reported.

 

But he lost that unanimity when he demanded a ruling that Congressional action would be needed for the Constitutional ban on insurrectionists taking office to apply to the president.

 

In April Roberts asked Alito to write the opinion when the court was asked to consider whether the Department of Justice had overreached in its prosecution for obstruction of January 6 rioters.

 

Around 250 had been charged with 'obstructing an official proceeding', a charge that prosecutors were considering bringing against Trump himself.

 

Alito was soon embroiled in questions of whether his wife had shown sympathy for the 'Stop the Steal' movement with her flying of an upside down flag.

 

But Alito did not recuse himself from the case and Roberts took it back and put his own name on it.

 

The change of authorship was not reported on at the time but left Roberts writing the opinions on the key cases affecting the chances of a second Trump presidency.

 

Roberts, who was appointed to the court by President George W Bush, had insisted that 'no one is above the law under our system and that includes the president,' at his confirmation hearing in 2005.

 

He had been left furious when the court's opinion on Roe vs Wade was leaked ahead of its official release in May 2022.

His arguments and analysis was very good. I'm glad he took the lead at least it was a lead of defense and a well thought out ruling. But many think he was insulted because others were calling it the Justice Thomas' court. Alito and Thomas, Gorsuch or Kavanaugh would not have violated the Court in this way.

 

This article sounds exactly the radical lefties in the court crying its so unfair.The lefties held the court power for 30-40 years and the are mad the Conservatives have the majority. Coney Barrett was a mistake, I hope she isn't involved in this. It makes you wonder if women should be on the court. (At least I do)
